I believe that a British racer/rider that both my Father and Grandfather knew well - Peter Ferbrache - was killed at the Dutch TT on 25th June 1960 whilst riding an AJS (presumably a 350cc AJS 7R ?.) - Apparently he was a real character, he'd been a Rear Gunner in a Lancaster bomber during WW2 and as a result he developed a bad stammer, he originally raced a Hartley Ariel single, then Manx Nortons for a while followed by the AMCs (AJS and Matchless race bikes) which he was still racing at the time of his fatal accident.
