I’m glad father Mike is able to navigate around being sensitive but finding a way to push through and be authentic because once you’ve been through the burner (unintentionally) and accidentally hurting feelings or offending, it is easy to be wedged into this space of being fake with people in an attempt to show them love. It sucks, so I’m glad you’re dealing with that well! I hope he continues to have that authenticity so he can continue to connect with people and not disconnect

Just started listening and have to say. Did carnivore and keto for a long time. You feel great in the begging BUT there are long term side effects. Now trying to dig out of a hole those diets put me in and heal by eating a balanced natural diet with little to no PUFAs. Basically no processed foods and NO nuts/seeds. Even when I was doing carnivore I did not think it was good long term. Many of the influencers that have been carnivore for years just don’t look healthy and those I know that are on carnivore long term are having health issues but they have yet to connect the dots….

    Father Mike,
Don’t know if you will see this but, I listen to Father Chris Alar’s talks (Saturdays) and he once mentioned your name- If I remember correctly, it was about something that you had said about the sexual abuse by a cardinal in our Church….. and that you were crying when you spoke about it….. he then said that you need to apologize publicly and that you owe the public an apology about what you had said…… so maybe if you see this comment, you can simply give Father Chris Alar a call and see what he meant and straighten it out with him….. 😊

Fr Alar was wrong. His complaint was that Fr Mike was upset about the PA grand jury report. Fr Alar was upset b/c "he feels" 2 names on the list were on their incorrectly. I live in Pennsylvania there were dozens of priests on it who abused hundreds of people. The fact that Fr Alar was more upset about that than the victims says more about him than anyone else. Fr Mike reacted to the jury report in general he didn't mention any names. The video's on Ascension's channel you can judge for yourself. Fr Alar was just shitstirring for views.

Giving the woman your phone number isn't a good idea. It comes across as either lazy or just like some sort of salesman trying to make a sale. It forces the woman to do all the work. Not super manly.

There’s a reason the church historically encouraged fasting, especially of red meat; it lowers libido. Recent studies on Orthodox fasting have confirmed this.

No offense but processed foods lower libido way more than red meat

Weird. Many carnivore sites say that carnivore has help stabilized hormones. And some women who had trouble getting pregnant, got pregnant. Coincide possibly.
Carnivore helped me feel better overall.
      God created red meat.

Watch Gamechangers or You are What You Eat. Eating animal products negatively affects your body function in very specific ways not just libido

On the subject of pornography in our first family home, which was a two level so it had a basement. My dad built a room and this is gonna sound funny but it is true every bit of what I’m about to say is 100% true and I have pictures to put up his complete 3/4 inch reproduction of Ringling Brothers barman Bailey 1953 roadshow it’s still exist now it’s in a secure locked 26 x 26 room off the back of my parents home. So that’s kind of cool here’s the problem every Playboy centerfold from the very first one until we moved out of that house and into what would become our permanent family home Five years later was up on the wall. I am the oldest of five so for a reasonable part of my young life if I went in the circus room for some reason, there are all these Playboy naked women on the walls. What did it do? Well first off, it meant that my father was jacked objectifying women. That he had created an incredibly hard, almost impossible standard for my mother to live up to. I cannot tell you how many years I watched her take diet pills, pretty much starve herself, and then he started taking pictures of her that he could put up in his locker at work. And after his death when I was going through and it’s an old old box, and I found them, and I found a picture of my mom in a bikini that I took of her. She asked me to do it, I couldn’t have been more than nine or 10 at the time and there was among the other ones. Some terrible things happened in our house which I cannot write down but we were all affected by it. As children, all five of us were affected by it. To this day I am still looking at myself after losing almost 200 pounds and I don’t see it. The clothes don’t fit that’s obvious but I don’t see the difference. I knew I was never good enough for him. My sister knew she wasn’t good enough for him. He beat the hell out of my three brothers I don’t regular basis but remember this is 1960s so you could do that and get away with it and you could use a belt and get away with it because what went on behind behind closed doors, went on behind closed doors, if my children ever learned about pornography, they learned about it after they left our house. They are computers were monitored and locked and they couldn’t go places and we were serious about it and I always thought that was like the one thing that my ex, and I agreed on, and then one day he had to go in his office when he was gone and I opened side of his desk that I had never opened before because I was looking for something. I found something a manila folder full of more money than I thought we had in our house, three books of pornography and three more books for ordering video tapes that’s how long ago this was VHS tapes all pornography. We were already in the middle of the divorce, so it really didn’t matter but I was so sick and disgusted when I found out. in the end throughout our whole marriage, we didn’t agree on even that and I didn’t know it. It makes me sick 22 years later to even think about it he was no better than my father. The only difference was my father put it out where his kids could see it.

Because he works out every day. He gets up in the morning at like 4 AM and exercises per hour. I think even though he was making jokes about his diet he’s really very careful about it and he realizes that if he wants to accomplish everything that he wants to do in his life he hast to keep his Health in check. See the difference between him and I is that when I get up at 4 o’clock in the morning I’m mad because I still have a few hours of sleep. I’m missing. My idea of a workout is my walk to the refrigerator to get my Diet Coke for the morning. Of course, I should probably mention here that I am handicapped and terminally ill so I guess I didn’t take really good care of my body when I should have and I’m paying for it now.
