    Her last EV was a Nissan Leaf , that sadly was written off following an accident, but good that no one was injured, ( & no the EV didn't catch fire ! )
    For more details of our buy to order service please call the eco cars team on 01856 480008 based here in Orkney.

    As people have commented not having the car serviced will invalidate the warranty. More importantly on my Kona ev the fourth year service is VERY EXPENSIVE at over £800. Apparently the coolant needs changing and is expensive. I have never seen this mentioned elsewhere, and it is something that people should be made aware of. I was very put out when I found out. So much for inexpensive servicing.

    Nice extras …. Very few have the heated seats and steering wheels. A bonus the tow bar for a bike rack Been watching the dealers near me and they’ve all ( rapid charge Zoe’s) gone up 1k since Christmas ?

      GT Line+ has heated seats and steering wheel but GT Line models needed to be specced with the winter pack to get it. Very few GT lines were because most ZE50s were bought in bulk by car rental and subscription companies like the now defunct Onto.

    There are some cracking SH deals on EVs at the moment.
    My Zoe had lost battery capacity but I have managed to get the range up from 160 miles using eco mode and B mode now an easy 195 give or take a mile or 2 using normal mode and very little B mode. By a deep discharge of the battery

    Why can't you tow a trailer? I have a towbar on my i30. I have a bike carrier that clips onto it. I also have a 350kg capacity trailer, and I've also used the towbar to recover other vehicles that are stuck.

      @@JonathanPorterfield No towbar should be fitted to a car unless it is type-approved and attaches to fixings in the chassis that the manufacturer has provided for that purpose. My understanding is that if a car has no towing capacity then it doesn't have those fixing points and no-one will make a towbar for it. I'm thinking of vehicles like the Ford Ka, and some variants of Nissan Micra.

    • @bennygustafsson9580
      @bennygustafsson9580 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It's possible to tow with the Zoe - up to 750 kg - but only cars registered in Germany. I know of a man who imported his car to Norway from Germany and fitted his towbar before registered in Norway and that car was officially registered with towbar. He even bought a Twizy in Budapest and took the Twizy home with the Zoe!

    • @andytunnicliffe7223

    • @JonathanPorterfield
      @JonathanPorterfield  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      No way of knowing other than asking to see the charge port , or if the listing states '50kW' ( max charge speed) as well as 50kWh ( battery size) , then 50kW means the max charge speed on DC so it 'should' have CCS , but always best to check the port 😉

    • @MikeDWinter
      @MikeDWinter 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      ZE50 without CCS has a blanking plate with two ‘+’ symbols embossed on it where the pins underneath would be. The CCS equipped cars have a plain flap. Helps if you get a pic of the charge port with the CCS flap closed.

      I enjoy the livestream videos too, but perhaps a summary of what is available at auction houses is a good compromise. I'm particularly interested in the lower end of the market as there are so few videos about "bargain" or good value used EVs compared to news about the latest £30k+ new offerings. This is probably the busiest end of the used market right now too..

    My 2018 41kWh Zoe does 200+ miles on a full charge, even in winter (4.8-5+mpkwh). 157 for the 50kWh battery doesn’t sound too good - perhaps the AC refrigerant needs topping up, or there’s a leak somewhere?

    I would never buy a car without side-airbags, even my cheap 11 year old Toyota Aygo have them. I find it hard to believe that Renault could do this to the ZOE, side-airbags are not that expensive and they already use them in other cars - with great success.
