ℹ️ About the Episode:
In this episode, we bike Going to the Sun road (at a faster clip this time around, in preparation for our big ride to Florida) and hike both Hidden Lake and Avalanche Lake. Then we return to the Airstream to enjoy good company, delicious dinner, a roaring campfire, and a game of Mafia. Quite possibly the perfect camping situation, at least for us! Visiting Glacier National Park was not on our initial route plan. We decided to visit when we realized we were running a bit ahead of schedule and figured out how far North Cascades National Park was from Bozeman. Little did we know that there would be plenty of availability at one of the most popular RV destinations in the lower 48. When we connected with the Nickerson family (@FindingOurSomeday) we decided to extend our time in Glacier and didn't even have to move sites! Although the shoulder season can be unpredictable due to weather, it provides the flexibility that so many RVers enjoy.

*This channel for entertainment purposes only. We are not RV experts and are not making recommendations. We share our opinions and what works for us, but you should do your own research and make your own decisions.
By the way, we don't have a telegram account (whatever that is). That's a hacker pretending to be us and not doing a great job, so don't fall for it. And the game is called Mafia. It's fun with a group of people. We play a simple version with our own deck of cards. I'm sure you can TH-cam how to play. See you next week from Mount Rushmore & Devil's Tower.
They have been showing up on several other channels as well
If you do a search for ThioJoe here on TH-cam has a tool to help you/anyone who moderates comments for you to automate removal. Us as viewers can use it, but it only lets us 'report' the comment as spam, you can mass delete.
You are so good at predicting the comments and questions.........what's the game and your have been hacked..... planning our next trip to Glacier National park because of you. Thank you.
That’s been on MULTIPLE channels every time I leave a comment… not your fault 😘 I report immediately and they get removed.
Yeah, the hacker has appeared on "Finding Our Someday", "Travel Beans", and a couple of others. They get pulled almost immediately.
We agree on having your own bathroom along is such a big perk of RVing. Also, you always have your food, clothing, and your own bed too.
Going for a holiday without our RV is not the same! Having to keep an eye out for public toilets.. hoping they’re clean. Packing and unpacking all the time. Yup love our RV
How fun to see my two favorite TH-camr RVers together again!
My two favorite RV families together. Young people makes everything so much fun!
Love seeing KYD AND FOS together.
Love seeing you guys and FindingOurSomeday peeps together!! My two favorites that I love to watch!! Wonderful episode❤
Hands down Corey is great with the drones and camera shots. It's like an extension of himself - seeing thru his eyes. 'GoPro take a pic' was sooo Corey! 😄😄😄
Pretty hike to the waterfalls.
So just FYI (in case you didn't know), the 13'6" height is measured from the top of the curb to the bottom of the bridge, so that bridge at the park has an actual clearance of 14" (curbs are normally a standard 6"). Which is why you see semi's going under bridges at that height and rarely slow down. You see 13'6" and your good to go.
Holy Moly! You guys biking on the road with a sheer drop and cars passing you… that should only be in video games and nightmares.
Great games night and so fun to see Caleb growing into a confident young man. Parenting 101… nice job.
Sunday truly is fun day.
Love to see the collabs!!! Corey, Jess and the girls are topnotch folks!
😂 LOL, "Tiny Kitchen Olympics..." Trish, you're the 10x gold medal winner!
My son got married on the Big Mountain in Whitefish this past July. You are right, it is a cute town. And so beautiful!
Your composition, music selection, and editing is always so fantastic, I can’t thank you enough for taking us along. My only complaint is that I couldn’t eat that scrumptious dinner you showed us, and now I’m so hungry. These videos could be sold in perpetuity in boxed sets.💞
😂😂😂😂. Hearing you all playing Mafia reminds of one of our first meetings with our then future son-in-law. Family get together and we decided to play the game, he’s Italian and came in late to the conversation…. I’m sure you know the end --- the LOOK on his face when he heard what we were playing was absolutely priceless. They have just celebrated their 19th wedding anniversary a few days ago, so we sure didn’t scare him off.
I really enjoy your content, and watch each week get a positive start on the coming days--away from political issues, conflicts and worries. That said, I wish your cycling friend had chosen a different riding shirt.
You guys are living, and Sharing! the dreams of more people than you can imagine. The joy you all experienced as friends coming together at a beautiful setting and, just doing normal fun stuff that we all need in life, it was a pleasure to watch and be there with you. What a wonderful life. 🤗👏👏👏
After several seasons of following you guys and others on TH-cam we placed an order for our retirement dream home on wheels three weeks ago. Can't wait to start the adventures. I just wish we were 25 years younger but now is our time to start. Thanks for all you do!
Our own bathroom and quick sandwich making lunch breaks are our favs!
Marc and Trish we saw you at the KOA in West Glacier we were in the airstream two slots west of your rig and were able to say hello to you Marc personally on your birthday (belatedly again happy birthday). Although we said hello to Kaleb as well we missed seeing and meeting Trish but she was so kind and gave us one of her spice combinations “Blends” it was fantastic highly recommend getting her combo spices really flavor packed. It was great to meet you Marc face to face and Kaleb safe travels to you and your family and we love your videos. Cheers from fellow Arizonans and airstream owners.
Great to meet you too!
After a year of watching your stuff and getting inspired we decided it was time to get an RV and get our little family out exploring. Thank you for putting out some much great content 🤙 we absolutely love watching your videos and all the work you put into it.
KYD and the FOS Crew, my two best families on the road. Both great channels.
I just bought a new space heater this week, Caleb is right about that new heater smell. 😂
I'm pretty sure you can tell when the Leach's are in the campgrounds just based on the smell of dinner cooking!!! 🤤🌮🌯🥙🥗😀
Rving with friends is the absolute best. Good times and even better memories!
I love seeing my favorite RVers together!
Missed You KYD
We went to Glacier August of 2021 and we didn't have a timed pass to get in the park. We got up at 4:30 AM to make sure we could get in the park before sunrise. It was a spectacular day in the park. The next day we drove up N. Fork Road and found a wonderful bar and grill, literally in the middle of nowhere. Home Ranch Bottoms is the name of the place and the food was fabulous. Thanks for sharing your trip.
Another wonderful episode when I didn't want the music to end. 🙂
This was the gathering of the creators. I loved it, and I follow all of them also. Thanks for the good content ❤
I love Corey & Jessie. If you’re not following them on TH-cam, you’re missing out. @Finding Our Someday
Ok this episode was by far one of my Fav's. The views and all the fun with friends. I can only dream of doing this as im very sick and ill, But I love love watching your guys videos.
After all these years of watching your videos also being full time RVers we always enjoy your adventures and often learn new things. Thank you for sharing you life on TH-cam!
I felt the wonderful time you had on this shared trip! Love the families, the shared hikes and friendships but watching the kids enter act together was just awesome. What memories.
Keep praying for your family and your trips that you do generously share with us. Thank you!
I love how mark is interrogating with the flashlight. Haha. Thanks for another great video!
Superb. Last time I camped in Bozeman was in July of 1977. Mom and Dad had a 13 foot Sprite travel trailer, and we had made our way to the west coast from Eastern Quebec, and were on our way back. Many moons ago, as I was 13 at the time. If plans work out, we should be back in that area sometime in 2023. Looking forward to it. By the way, please put on some safety glasses when working under the trailer. A screw or even dust or dirt or a fleck of rust could fall into an eye with ugly results. Even regular glasses or sunglasses would be better than nothing. Another great video. As always, safe travels......
Glacier NP is amazing! You’re now one of the bikers I thought was crazy riding that road! I also follow the Finding Our Someday channel. I hope my “someday “ is soon!
I extended my dinette wall next to my door to fit an electric fireplace, "just" enough room. Saves me so much $ in propane and it's beautiful. If you don't have an electric fireplace, that is a top 10 MUST DO RV modification. The top adds a horizontal surface and the bottom is cut out for shoes. When you showed Charlies face, I was like speak, speak, SPEAK, I miss his comments from the Rt 66 season.
Welcome to my backyard friends :^) I pull my TT from Trout Creek, MT to Kalispell and stay at the Elks Lodge then explore GNP instead of spending $100 a night at that KOA in the “shoulder season”… Lots of ice cream and breweries in Kalispell 😘 Whitefish is beautiful but it’s the Jackson Hole of Wyoming here in MT, stupid expensive.
We went camping mid-September and we were the only ones in our part of the campground until the weekend. We love it that way.
I love when 2 of my favorite channels meet up. It’s like a crossover TV show event.
In our camper - we have never had the actual heat on- it get’s so hot and dry . We always only use a space heater. We have camped when it’s about 24 degrees.
Loved the deer! Go Pro made me giggle! Thanks for taking us along!
YAY! Two of my favorite RV families together again! ❤y'all!
Love seeing my two favorite rving families!
Hello Trish, Caleb, Mark & Charlie. So glad to see you. Looked like a wonderful time spent with wonderful friends enjoying all the park has to offer, from biking to hiking to relaxing back at camp. The scenery was beautiful. I liked the Wich Shop you took Mark for lunch looked very generous with their portions, & inviting.
Fun vid !
I grew up in Whitefish, so it was extra fun to watch. Hiked into Avalanche lake several times ~ beautiful scenery ! 👍
Shoulder season is an excellent time of year up there.
And now you say you are headed to Bozeman ~ Yay, MSU is my Alma Mater !
Thanks for the cycling shots, they made me want to get back in the saddle after a 1.5 year break.
it's been 20 years for me! Glad to be back.
I’m recovery from the heart attack you all gave me riding your bikes up against that short wall, I know what’s on the other side of that wall….nothing but straight down 😳
I was on the back of a Harley riding against that short wall and I haven’t been the same since !!!
Great video as always
Blessings
This is one of those really enjoyable videos. It’s always nice to see you guys meet up with other you tubers. Especially “ Finding our Someday”. Great video guys. Can’t wait till next week.
Love that Stars and Stripes bike jersey❤️👍👍
I ordered a couple :)
Traveling with your toilet really is the best 😂 I get weird looks from my family for saying that but with toddlers, one that was potty training during our summer traveling, it really is the best thing ever! And a bed to change diapers on instead of a questionable changing table… our RVs have spoiled us!
Tricia’s very basic tacos look better than any taco I’ve ever had. So modest.
Enjoyed the video. I Stayed at West Glacier Koa in June of 2011 with my family while visiting Glacier National Park. Going to the sun was closed during our visit.
Ohhhhhhhhh i saw the bus a few months ago at the museum in Elkhart It was so much fun to see Gary in there. The bus even smelled great. Thanks for giving us the opportunity to see it.
My two favorite channels on one video. Yay!
Excellence is always shown in these videos. You guys have fun and put out beautiful videos and super commentary. Love your family.
What a great episode. I’m watching y’all as I’m walking on a treadmill lol.
Thanks for another great video. We ride bikes in our local national parks (Kings Canyon, Sequoia, Yosemite) and my observation is that in general, drivers seem more courteous and give you more room on park roads. It's like they're on their best behavior or something. Sadly, this ends the moment you exit the parks. I'm enjoying the bike segments. Keep'em coming!
Wife and I love camping in the fall. We departed for Maine from Texas on 9/7/22 and on 10/13 we arrived at Pemaquid Point Campground in New Port Maine only to discover we were going to be the only ones in the park because they were shutting it down for the season the day after we arrived. It was an eerie feeling being the only ones in a large park. It make us realize we didn't want to repeat this again. They were nice enough to go ahead and book us for a few days after they were closed. If I ever see you on the road I will simply ask you "Where is Charlie? I want to meet him" ;)
Lived in Bozeman for six years. Wife graduated from Montana State there. Beautiful place.
Glad you enjoyed Glacier. My grandma saw born up in Glacier in 1906. Before it was a Natl Pk . My grgrdad was a fire spotter in the Payola area. American Alps !!!
Going to the Sun road is the most amazing site. To see the mirror image of the glacial ice carving on the sides of the canyons is awesome.
I am convinced that you are time travelers. There is NO WAY I could get done what you guys get done in the time you do it.
Such a great video guys!. Can t wait until we can get back on the road!
Thanks for the weekly injection of some and fun.
Happy Sunday Funday KYD FAMILY!!
I was lucky enough to stay at that very KOA on 3 separate visits to Glacier. I'm a huge fan of KOA's when you are a tent camper. The folks that run the places are first rate, the sites are clean, and the idea of having access to showers/bathrooms and laundry facilities is just an added bonus.
Loved loved loved this video! We were at Glacier NP a week before you. The weather was pleasant, some portions of the park were closing (or closed during our stay), but the parking lots were still quite crowded. We parked nearly 1.5 mi from Logan Visitor's Center, and even that lot filled before we left our car. But Glacier is now our favorite national park. Going-to-the-Sun Road is the most gorgeous drive I have taken, surpassing PCH through Big Sur. Thank you for letting me relive my vacay through your video.
Love Mafia! What fun and, of course, beautiful views.
You're video's are the best. It's great to see friends and family enjoying each other's company and making memories together. Your channel helped motivate us to get our first RV (Newmar Ventana) last year and we've enjoyed several month long and weekly trips out west, to Florida and throughout Tennessee, where we live. While I've been to Glacier 30 years ago on a cross county motorcycle trip, you've inspired us to make Glacier a 2023 RV destination. Thanks for you video's and sharing your great outlook on life with all of us.
I’ve been missing these slow get togethers, hiking and camp fires. Pure joy.
Wow, it’s such a joy spending some time in your travels!
Your group of friends is amazing.
We just returned from two weeks traveling and camping in our RV.
It was such a fun, interesting, and peaceful time.
Having your own facilities is a major plus to RVing.
You should think about joining us in Terlingua, TX the first weekend in November (every year), for the Terlingua Chili Cook-Off. It’s held in Terlingua, TX., directly adjacent to Big Bend National Park.
The hiking, the food, the music, Dia de los Muertos in the Terlingua Ghost Town Cemetery, etc…
So Much Fun!
Looks fun! Thanks for the tip Allen!
Missed y’all last Sunday
Watching with jet lagged eyes after a 34 hour transit time from Bathinda, India back home to Red Deer Alberta. Struggling to make it past 6:30pm…
Welcome back!
Love seeing the addition of cycling content. Now you just need a "ride by the numbers" at the end of the biking segment summarizing how many miles/feet climbed.
I agree. This day was 42 miles and 4,000 feet of climbing. We've completed the ride from MI to FL and I'll include the states in the episode.
soo cool you guys connected with Cory And family Finding your someday. Awesome episode.
Wish I could have gone on the Avalanche hike with all of you. You should see in in the spring (which around here is late June) before they open GTS . Hope the heater and mat are working well for you. I've never heard of the card game. Looks like fun. Let me know next time you're in the area.
We are new subscribers. Thank you for the video. The views were amazing!! We love extending our stays😊👍🏽😊.
Welcome! We have a playlist that play in order per season.
I always enjoy watching your videos.
A real highlight of TH-cam.
Excellent video👀we love Glacier we hiked avalanche lake and it’s absolutely stunning. Thank you for keeping it real❤️
Love seeing my two favorite families
2 awesome families ; great,fun viideo🎉
Happy Sunday everyone! Love yall 3000!
We were there last year and love Glacier National Park. We ate at the Sandwich Haus on our last day- best sandwiches ever. 1
Only got a couple hours in Whitefish when we were in Montana but absolutely loved it. Great little eateries everywhere!
Bozeman is such a fun place! So much to do there. Lots of friends too!
Glacier is my most favorite National Park and Whitefish is by far my favorite mountain town! Oh my gosh Avalanche lake is so incredible! Anyway, if you ever go back and go into Whitefish (and if you haven’t already) try Loula’s and you must try their pie! It’s amazing!
Whitefish was my winter home away from home growing up in Alberta.
Dang it! I was trying to be the first to comment!!! Love y’all and the videos. We bought our Airstream this year after following y’all for a year. We are now in the process of planning our adventures.
We always do the "Shoulder Season" for our vacations. Of course, it just so happens that it comes on our anniversary so that makes it even more special! We do it (besides the anniversary part) because all the kids are in school again and RV parks are mostly empty so reservations are easily placed.
The video of y'all biking up the Road to the Sun was nothing short of breathtaking. Y'all had some over-the-top photography there that left us speechless. Wow! Great video!
Safe travels!
Bob and Dottie
Hey Mark a tip for crawling under the RV - I bought a couple of moving blankets from Harbor Freight and use those - they are cheap enough that when they get yucky I just throw it away.
Your in Whitefish, MT again, must eat we found is Abruzzos Italian Kitchen on Central Ave. Ciao Mambo is good, we like Abruzzos. Great video, haven’t been to Whitefish in several years.
Thank you, Corey!
Hi, something a bit off topic 😂 , my better half Sue really loves Trish’s blue teddy bear gilet and would like to know the brand/where to get one 👍🏻 Another epic video by the way. Keep on inspiring us. Best wishes from Warrington, England
Another Awesome Adventure. Outstanding Episode.
I was there with my Airstream 9/25-10/2 at the Apgar Campground. Seeing your video, it is amazing how much the trees started changing color after you left.
Agreed on the shoulder season being amazing. We had to take the trailer up to Deadwood South Dakota for a job this October and on the way back hit the KOA at Devils Tower Wyoming. We were 1 of 4 RV's in the park, we had the whole place to ourselves, it was amazing!!! And we did get out of there just in time, as we were pulling out the snow was starting to fall.
Having your own bathroom is the best part of RVing, and staying at West Glacier KOA, the train and the highway don't sound like they are running through the bathroom, unlike the other RV Parks in the area.
Wich Haus👍, just 9 minutes from our front door.
It was a particularly mild September and October here in NW MT
Keep up the good work.
Livimg Vicariously through you guys love the content
We were at Glacier last year and hiked to Glacier lake. Amazing area. We pulled our 32’ TT there from Cape Cod Ma. After that we went through Utah all the way to So Arizona, Quartsite ext. We are now in So Fla. thanks for the great Vid
Massive trip! Nicely done. We need to go back to Cape Cod and do it right.
👋 we live on US2 in the Upper peninsula of Michigan and picked up our camper in Yakima and then proceeded to travel via that route. We spent 2 days in Glacier and loved it. We even traveled Going-to-the-Sun Rd with our truck camper being just under 10'. What an amazing place.
Great video, enjoyed the journey with you All.
That bike ride up the mountain was amazing. I would love to see those views. The photo with Caleb raising his bike is really cool. I would have to ride my ebike though.
I think it's so cool that you meet up with friends you make on the road, like FOS, as you all criss-cross the country on your individual journeys. Connections.
