Technically not zombies they are infected and infectious and ravenous to feed their infection.
Modified rabies is the most logical way of creating something like a "zombie apocalypse" only they are alive not dead-alive.

This could be a series about containment and quarantine not with just zombies but other infections and pandemics.
If you like things like that, look into SCP, I know I do.
A very exciting idea. I just hope there are are more than just infected, that was the good thing about Resident Evil/Bio Hazard more than just a Zombie Apocalypse.

Listening to non-military authors write military characters just makes me cringe. NOBODY, and I swear to you, NO ONE is gonna have a callsign like 'Raptor'. Also, there is NO FUCKING WAY, a unit with as broad a mission as Aries' is a Squad sized element. It's at least a fucking platoon, even ODA teams are like 12 dudes, which is still more than a squad.
Quite heavy on discription, very slow. Short on story. And still good. I recommend ADRIAN'S UNDEAD DIARIES. Very good. And a long series.

love all of you stories doll face...i love that dark side and the Sci fi aspect you bring out with most of them,,,that is, except the love stories you probably dont know you even do...lol...because...lets fact it...youre a guy.....haha...so i wished youd write more because they are so detailed and have a sort of kindness and longing or a real intensity to them and an edge of your seat kinda vent,,,,ohhhhh deal with it! youre very talented....like M night S...so..." U GO BOY!" keep bringing us all of what you do dude....

The second half of story about a special unit that work for shady company where they went into the infected city to destroy evidence remind me of the game Resident evil: Operation Raccoon City.

My dumb thoughts:
First, your voice is quite good for reading. I Can tell you put a lot of effort into ensuring you only include the takes with no mispronunciations or errors. The rest of my short criticisms are levied against whoever the author is.
I haven’t listened to very much of the story, but I think it quickly lost steam for me. The first couple sentences were pretty good, a solid start to a story. Established the setting, and who the main character was in a quick manner. It didn’t characterize him much though, but I suppose that’s what the rest of the story is for. My problem is that it just jumped right into Alex knowing something was wrong. It’s a bit strange that his immediate reaction to seeing a man getting attacked is to flee to one of his friends and force them both to pack their things and leave. Just a paragraph or two before he stated that he didn’t think much of the virus, and now he’s in full panic mode. How did he put together that the virus and woman attacking the man were connected? I don’t believe any clues were established for him to realize that. What he should have done, with the information he supposedly had at the time, would be to flee to his dorm or hide in a nearby building, because he just witnessed a “murder” and not a zombie attack. Sure, the biting is strange, but I think most people would assume drugs before putting virus and eating people together in their heads. Ideally, a story like this has some foreshadowing and tension before things go bad. Perhaps this isn’t that kind of story and the author simply wished to jump right into the tale of survival.
Just my short dumb thoughts on a story I didn’t finish. It’s a better start than other zombie short stories, but not great.

Yea, Charlie! Great story, very compelling. Loved Charlie. Question, why was the battery in the fire truck dead words the end? It's only been like 18 hours, it shouldn't be dead yet. Regardless, great story, loved every minute of it.

It's a podcast about the zombie apocalypse which starts off almost identical to this with them being at college and not able to leave and asking to find her roommate

@@Spartan135 Actually, the medic being a woman isn't atypical at all. I've met a few female 68Ws in the Army. The real problems I have with the story is a civilian author trying to write military characters with cringe fucking callsigns like 'Raptor' or 'Hawkeye', NOBODY gets callsigns like that.
Replace “Umbral” with WEF and WHO and the story feels all too real!
