I personally would not know of Jesus and His resurrected life were it not for the Bible. I would not be able to get to know God and His amazing character if it weren't for Scripture. I am able to learn valuable lessons from other people's lives by reading about them in the Bible. I would also not know I was being deceived by mainstream preachers without the Bible to confirm what is truth. Without the Bible I believe we are lost. I cannot trust my heart and what it sometimes seems to be saying to me, but if my thoughts and feelings align with Scripture, then I can believe what I feel God is telling me - I have other people's testimonies in the Bible to confirm this. From very early on I believe man has had access to some form of Scripture, either verbal, on papyrus, carved in stone or whatever - God can preserve His word. He certainly has done so within the Bible and I, for one, am eternally grateful to Him for it. The definition of the word 'testament' means something that serves as a sign or evidence of a specified fact, event, or quality. It's a witness statement, or a group of witness statements and the fact that all the witness statements in the Bible correspond with each other is just truly amazing. The Bible is a book like no other. It definitely speaks to me. Owning an amazing top of the range piece of equipment would be useless without an operator's manual and guarantees from the manufacturer and we have all this in the Bible. I think a big part of the problem with things as they are today is because people do not read and study Scripture. I do not worship the Bible, but it has helped me to know of God and His Son Jesus Christ and I would never want to be without it.
You don't get to know God by reading Scripture anymore than you get to know Julius Caesar by reading his biography. You can only get to know about God by reading Scripture.
Yeah, try coming out of Mormonism while believing the spirit of God is confirming Mormonism to you, and then finding out that what you believe is utterly unbiblical! How would you test the spirits if you don’t know the scriptures? I get what your saying brother Kel, but the scriptures have to take precedence over personal revelation, after all, by the authority of God’s written law, false prophets were determined and put to death. The spirit of the prophets is subject to the prophetic writings. It seems to me that if it were the other way around it would be even greater chaos.
@@TheTrinityDelusion I think you're spot on - it's like the difference between a midwife giving counsel to a woman giving birth versus a mother giving counsel to a woman giving birth. The midwife may have a lot of knowledge, but without the experience of it herself, she can only go so far and her understanding is academic or perhaps even empathetic, but to truly provide comfort, she must comfort another with the comfort where with she herself was comforted.... but of course, in that example, she never received that comfort herself because she never gave birth herself. Likewise, reading a book about Jesus is a wonderful thing - but it isn''t Christ. I can however provide a framework so that you can study to show yourself approved unto God.... and to allow you to compare precept with precept, spiritual things with spiritual.... but it's a dead tree without the life of Christ in you, taking of the things of God and revealing them unto us. A dead tree can be useful - it makes a good power pole.... but has no life in itself. Jesus said that His Words are spirit - they are life. And let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus. A mind is living. A book is not.
Thanks, Kel. I have written to you a couple of times, and I am not sure if you have received the emails, but your videos seem to align with the topics I have mentioned. I appreciate the work you do, and it is a blessing to have found your channels.
Christians forget these verses by thinking that the Bible is all what they need when in reality they are written that we may believe that Jesus is Messiah and follow him, not the Bible. John 20:30-31: "And truly Jesus did many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book; but these have been WRITTEN SO THAT YOU MAY BELIEVE THAT JESUS IS THE CHRIST, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in His name." Also Jesus himself plainly said to Jews who were reading so called OT as we now read John 5:39-41: "You search the Scriptures, because you think that in them you have eternal life; and THESE ARE THEY WHICH TESTIFY ABOUT ME. BUT YOU ARE UNWILLING TO COME TO ME, so that you may have life. I do not receive glory from men."
As one of Jehovahs Witnesses I agree with you on your understanding of 2Timothy3:16,17. I have to say that most of my brothers and sisters never really see 2Tim3:16 as referring to anything but the 66 books. There were not 66 books at the time Paul was alive. I also disagree with our translation of Matthew 28:19 as baptism in the name of the Father, son, and holy spirit. Eusebius wrote 17 letters where he translated its ending “in the name of Jesus,” which makes sense and is in agreement with how the apostles baptized converts.
Have you not attended the good news convention ? Where is your faith that our organization is teaching the truth ? There is a plethora of evidence to support the authenticity of the manuscripts we have available well over 40,000 manuscripts and 500,000 fragments and counting at this point there are so many manuscripts any so called corruption would be easily identifiable and many scholars would agree that there is no work of antiquity more accurately preserved. Not to mention the plethora of archeological and historical evidence that’s been found to support biblical accounts and biblical figures. You’re treading down a dangerous path especially considering the NWT was translated older and more authentic manuscripts than the KJV which used inferior corrupted manuscripts. This man is insinuating that our account of Jesus is inauthentic and has been corrupted even though there is literally ZERO evidence of this so called corruption and many manuscripts have been found to support the accounts we have for example Papyrus Rylands P52 ect. We have the complete and authentic word of god. Be careful not to fall victim to falsely contrived stories and so called wisdom. I’m 100% confident that we have the truth and that our teachings are correct not because of blind faith but because we’re constantly told to prove the truth to ourselves …. JW library literally has an insane amount of scholarly references and information on practically any topic. You know who also didn’t trust gods representatives ? The nation of Isreal. Look how that turned out… just saying Maybe brother you need to do some deeper personal study…. He’s not being honest and clear about how the biblical cannon was decided .. it’s very clear that the apocrypha and other non canonical scriptures are not inspired at all from god… For example the apocrypha is not inspired at all …. Because I’ve actually read them…. They have no historical facts , it’s all based on mysticism and contains information that is contradictory to the Jesus of the New Testament ….. not to mention they where written by people that never knew Jesus , never met Jesus , never met the apostles and wrote these documents some 200-300 years after Jesus death… where as the earliest gospel started to be written 30-40 years after Jesus death by eye witnesses. Don’t let this man fool you into thinking there is some sort of hidden truth we are missing or that our Bible is not the complete word of god.
What is your translation disagreement based on sister just doubts or have you found any manuscript evidence that the translation is incorrect and do any scholars support it ? I encourage you to read the Greek interlinear and see that it’s translated accurately sister you can literally see the Greek and English side by side or simply just compare that verse to any other translation of the Bible. Also It would not be appropriate to say it’s “our translation” as if Jehovahs witnesses made up and altered Matthew 28:19 and Not to mention there is an agreed upon consensus by scholars to determine if a book is inspired of God or not canonical. For example the Gnostic or commonly know as Apocryphal Gospels are a complete and utter FRAUD….. they provide no historically authentic accounts of Jesus life or teachings or that if his apostles , they where written by obscure mystic sects who taught that God is an evil demiurge God who isn’t really god but it one god pretending to be god among the cannanite pantheon of gods , they believe the material world is punishment and that we need to strive for Gnosis or Hidden esoteric and mystic knowledge of oneself and the universe….. those gospels teach lies about Jesus and about his apostles and they where written some 300-400 years after the death of Jesus …. We have over 40,000 manuscripts available and over 500,000 fragments this is more than any other ancient work of antiquity …. Scholars agree the Bible is the most accurately preserve book in history…. And recent discoveries such as the fragments like Papyrus Rylands P52 show late first -2nd century evidence that the gospels we have are AUTHENTIC. With the exception of a few minor errors it can be said confidently we hold the complete unadulterated word of god. Also by disagreeing with 2 Timothy 3:16 you’re essentially saying only some scripture is inspired and you can lick and choose what is inspired and what’s not instead of believing Paul who receive a revelation for Jesus himself… Yes there where not 66 books but that’s irrelevant at the time when Christianity was starting the faith was progressing and evolving….. there was all of the books of the law from the old testament so that was what the Jews followed …. As Christians it was actually needed to have a New Testament because we are no longer under the law of Moses or the laws of Judaism … we are under a new covenant and under the law of christ…. This dear man although he has some good truths about the Trinity he is still spreading misinformation and lacking trust in the biblical record and this video does nothing but cause seeds of doubt , concern and shatters faith in authority of the Bible as the inspired word…… So if we can’t trust the biblical record or the men god inspired to right them then our faith is based on baseless hope and information….. blind faith with no evidence or absolute truth to be found. I recommend doing some personal research on the Bible cannon and how it was selected and also the Gnostic and apocryphal texts on JW library…. It really helped me when I had questions about these same topics.

@@FaithDefender1914 Thanks for your detailed answer. Check out Eusebius who was one of the greatest church historians before Nicea and during the reign of Constantine. He wrote seventeen letters in which he quotes Matthew 28:19 saying in my name referencing Jesus who was speaking. The problem is we have no premises complete manuscripts because certain emperors of that time had them destroyed. Also the apostles never baptized in the name of the Father, son, and holy spirit. They baptized in the name of Jesus. Unfortunately Eusebius so enamored of Constantine did a 180 and promoted the trinity post Nicea and possibly was involved in the corruption of Matthew 28:19,20. I need to look at the Hebrew version of Matthew and see what it says. Still researching. I do think that it makes sense that Paul was mainly talking about the Hebrew Scriptures as there really was no Christian Greek Scriptures at the time.
@@FaithDefender1914 Sorry just looking over your comment and mine I realize I am repeating myself. But I do not disagree with the canonicity of the Scriptures just that a lot of corruptions were introduced by Catholic monks trying to force the trinity doctrine on people.

He was actually very concerned about the great apostasy Paul knew very well what was coming if you ask that same spirit will show you what is to be after the day of your death. “29I know that after my departure, savage wolves will come in among you and will not spare the flock. 30Even from your own number, men will rise up and distort the truth to draw away disciples after them. 31Therefore be alert and remember that for three years I never stopped warning each of you night and day with tears.” although with increased knowledge comes increased sorrow so be careful what you seek to know. 'Sola scriptura' in contrast to the tradition of the catholic church is one thing, but it has become protestantism's own trap. Reading things in the letter only, lacking the Spirit. Or cherry picking scriptures to fit some doctrines. We can twist the scriptures any way we want in our carnal minds. To come to full truth and life we need the Spirit of the Lord. He alone is our salvation. The scriptures are helpfull but without the Spirit it just becomes the dead letter.

Wow, you just blew me away with this video. I, too, have been pondering this very subject for quite some time now. I was not even looking for anything remotely close to this subject and then this appeared. Many years ago, I used to watch a channel called The Bible is the Mark of the Beast their approach was different but the gist was the same. Believe via the spirit rather than the book that men wrote. They backed everything up as you just did, oddly enough, using scripture. Please keep up with this great inspiring work and Thank You ever so much. One more thing, people either forget or simply do not know that the very bible that they hold and read from today has undergone multiple of multiple edits all through the centuries. What they hold so very dear to their hearts is a book that would be completely unrecognizable in past era's. The last major butchering and I mean butchering was done by none other than Martin Luther. If it were not for the intervention of Ulrich Zwingli, Martin Luther would has continued decimating the scriptures. Once again, this was a Fantastic video!
This raises interesting points but provides no useful solutions. How do I know how to follow Christ. How do I know whether anyone else is following Christ or if the voice in my own head is of Christ? How do I get into a relationship with Christ? The Bible provides solutions. Your video does not.
I agree. To have a relationship with God means to: 1. Have faith that He is the Almighty God, 2. Communicate with Him via prayer, 3. Learn about God and His Son through reading the Bible, 4. Glorifying and praising His name, 5. Telling others about God and Christ. God left us His word for a reason. Though being able to quote scripture is not a prerequisite to being a Christian, reading the Bible builds your understanding of God which thereby builds your relationship with Him.
If you can't tell whether it is God or a voice in your head, it's a voice in your head. The only way to know the Father and the Son is through the Spirit and to be led by God's Spirit.

I was thinking about all the meetings they had trying to decide who Jesus is. And because they decided for everyone we are all divided. If you don't believe what they say your not a Christian. It also applies to what you think about the Bible. It seems all these people who were so smart divided us in many ways. When the Lord came into my life I didn't have a bible I was in my room and boom He revealed Himself and my life was changed. And when I read the Bible it was like I already knew about it because the spirit was in me.
Hallelujah. There ARE others who can see the Bible has become a golden calf to modern Christendom, replacing Jesus, who said… “You search the scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and they are they which testify of me.” ~John 5:39 If we believe Scripture teaches how live by the Spirit, we are deceived and live by the Letter. May God bless & keep you brother Kel.
Was raised a JW and they pride themselves on their 'bible knoweldge" (which is a disaster) but they cant seem to see what Jesus is saying at John 5:39. JWs, and many others, are just like the pharisees he was speaking to when he said: "You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness about me, yet you refuse to come to me that you may have life."
@skinnyandshort7108 yes but then they go off the rails and say Jesus was the very first creation of God and Jesus is michael the archangel. Then Michael created everything else including all the other angels. They know the trinity doctrine isn't true but they then deny God and Jesus in many other ways
@skinnyandshort7108 no, scripture does not say Jesus was the first creation made by God and then everything else created by Jesus. But it does say that Jesus is the firstborn out of the dead, the beginning of God's creation. The new creation prophecied in scripture. Jesus is the very first man resurrected from the dead into immortality and glory. Col 1:15-18 is speaking about the resurrected Jesus in his glory and all things that have been created in the risen Jesus...everything Paul speaks of are kingdom related creations, the new creation. Jesus is never called the firstborn of God until after he rose from the dead because he is literally the very first son of God born out of the dead into glory
They love to build their own salvation. Same ole story since the beginning of sin. They can not and will not ever just humble themselves before God. It's just too simple for them. 😉 Ps.. so good to hear from you, as always.

Indeed. One way to look at it is that men of Ego need crutches that are physical or visible -- like the *_INK_* of scripture. They cannot see or rely on the Spirit to which the INK points. They were terrified of *_uncertainty_* -- the kind we must endure when we put our Full Faith in God and in Christ. 😎♥✝🇺🇸💯
Its really amazing how the young church survived, and more than that, just having the Tora and the prophets, all to take the attention from in christ to in the bible.
The days are coming,” declares the Lord, “when I will make a new covenant with the people of Israel and with the people of Judah. 32 It will not be like the covenant I made with their ancestors when I took them by the hand to lead them out of Egypt, because they broke my covenant, though I was a husband to[a] them. Great video. Do you have another video, on how we can build a personal relationship with Christ without using the Bible? Or did I miss your point. Thanks.
We see quite a bunch of good examples how people were led by the Spirit, knowing no so called "new testament" writings. They repented, lived holy lives, they fellowshiped with one another and God used them for His glory when He wanted and how he wanted. When people are walking in the spirit then they are always in tune with GOD to hear Him and do His works. Bible based Christianity is based on their works, when they read in the Bible words that "those who believe will preach the gospel, heal the sick, cast out demons e.t.c." they then go and do it but without God. Demons trap them into thinking that they are ok and that this is the way. " Just speak what you want to be done and God will fullfil all your desires." When really God himself must be the source of works and we must only always be ready to serve Him when He will decide to make us coworkers in His marvelous supernatural works. I learned a good lesson in this matter because I had a few instances when God used me supernaturally. You just know in your spirit what to do or say, how to say and that it's not my own ability, nor my power. You just do it, at the same time you are amazed what is happening and after you do it you can take absolutely no credit for what just happened. I don't want to do any religious works without God because it will be my own works and it's written plainly that OUR works are as filthy rags. Heb 4:10: "for WHOEVER ENTERS God’s REST also CEASES FROM HIS LABORS as God did from his." If you have peace with God then you will cease from your own [religious] works and wait patiently on God. Just be humble, very patient, don't lean on your own understanding and Bible knowledge, listen in your spirit when talking to other believers and other people and He will give you supernatural comprehension. Actually, Satan tries to separate spiritual believers from others because it's great danger for his existence, and his attacks on such a person is much greater. "The War on the Saints" book by Jesse Pen Lewis is quite on spot about it. Watchman Nee book "The Spiritual Man" is a must for those who are confused in spiritual matters, and discerning be tween your soul and spirit.
"When really God himself must be the source of works and we must only always be ready to serve Him when He will decide to make us coworkers in His marvelous supernatural works. You just do it, at the same time you are amazed what is happening and after you do it you can take absolutely no credit for what just happened. " Yep. We can do nothing but offer ourselves to Him.
I agree with what you're saying as I've experienced both: Being led by the Spirit in carrying out God's will at a particular time AND performing "works" based on what I thought ought to be done. Frankly, most times I've performed "works" I've harmed more than I've helped, and I can only thank God that he's forgiven me for my error in doing so
I know this is a hard topic for you you're not alone out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks I'm glad the spirit of God is a little fuller within your heart the prayer that he continues to give you the words so that you have the ability to go beyond what you've done before and grow into your future and help people understand we serve a living God he is not a dead God nor is he a God of the past he is very present and he has a son without which none of us would have the ability to even see the father. A long long time ago I ask you to possibly branch out I can't say I always agreed with you but I can say I share your heart and it's not easy to go against others that claim to love and serve God. I may not be making very many videos because I'm actually locked out of my channel for now but I still continue to make disciples which requires long lasting relationships and not just the praying of a prayer something you know very well keep moving forward my friend yeah if you ever wanna talk I'm here.
Yes. It’s the very reason Jesus said, “it is better that I go away”. He ascended to our father and sent into the world the spirit of truth. By spirit we understand and know our creator. By scripture, sects of division form.
@@TheTrinityDelusionthey made God into their own image. Thats why the God of various denominations differ. If me and my brother (bothwho has never seen our real father) one day find a letter written by him we might both reach different conclusions as to the type of person he was. I always agree with you. The problem is only one segment of church history is conveniently preserved. From the writings of the second century it is just the western and pro-west theologians that are preserved. The East, Asia Minor, the writings is either lost or corrupted later on. We see Polycarp in the mid second century already quoting most of what we now know as the New Testament. Matthew, Mark, Luke, John and Acts (the new Torah) was acknowledged long before Athanasius. Most of Paul's letters too. Revelation also. Despite the very limited history, because many are lost, deliberately destroyed, we can see long before Athanasius that Christians, especially in the East are well informed and confident in the Scriptures. And letters were written between each other quoting the Scriptures without any issues of which is and isn't canon.
@@nsptech9773 the term used was "handed down" (by the hand of the apostles). For instance, the four Gospels and Acts was handed down. Serapion of Antioch states that they reject the so-called "Gospel of Peter" knowing that it was not "handed down".
@@Joseph-xg8ov yes. I heard a theory that Paul never intended his letters to be regarded as scriptures but since Paul wrote it many collected it and it became scripture?
I used to believe he literally preexisted but I believe my eyes started to open when I noticed that the emphasis of Colossians 1:16-18 is within Colossians 1:13, and that Christ said his kingdom is not of this world, John 18:136. Also knowing that the patriarchs and prophets spoke of and saw the ressurection affar of by faith, Acts 2:29-31. With ressurection and new creation language I believe the New Testament and volume of the Book makes more sense.
Amen! We have each seen pieces of Truth; some more than others. From my own experience, if anyone were to see ALL of Truth, the universe would disappear, for Truth (Responsibility) is the antithesis of Time or Persistence. Thus, knowing the Truth sets us free. We were ALL born of timelessness. If the words of John 3.13 were those of Christ, spoken to Nicodemus, then he tells us that he ad preexisted. But he also told his disciples that John the Baptist had preexisted, for they understood that their questions about Elijah returning were answered by John the Baptizer. 😎♥✝🇺🇸💯
Thank you for this. Sometimes I have to check my ingrained doctrines at the door and remember I have been unshackled from the belief system born of men, not God. I was just reading the other day where Paul said women have to wear a head covering and not talk during church. Why do we practice other things Paul says, but not those things? God hasn't changed...if those are God's words and instructions to us ... I can't even.
Great video! That page in the bible entitled "New Testament" is like a division that separates the old from the new. If there has to be a title then I would prefer "Renewed Covenant". I think it flows better. The Hebrew scriptures are not an "old thing" to be disregarded. The Hebrew scriptures are so relevant, detailing our Creators plan of redemption and pointing to the Coming of our Messiah Yeshua.
I see what you're saying. Another thing is that all the NT writers were writing about the IMMINENT return of Jesus, because that's what he TOLD them would happen - he would return in their lifetime. All those believers were either risen from the dead or raptured in the 1st century. We live 2000 years later and have access to their writings and letters. Everyone today is awaiting the second coming, but they missed it by almost 2k years. The resurrection of the dead coincided with the destruction of the temple and 1000 years thereafter (the rest of the dead living again). What happens now when people die, and what the future holds, etc, I don't know. I'm not sure the NT tells us, because the NT wasn't written to us, it was written to them.
I think this video is closely related to your video called "The Faith IN Christ - what does it mean ?" I see that Bible based christianity is like you said "having faith in their own faith", and even more, they have faith in the Bible, instead of walking the way of denying themselves. They put their trust in the Bible which was translated by unbelievers or babies in Christ (video the Faith on Christ.. shows ignorance and/or immaturity of translators) and they trust in their own faith. Christian must know what spirit he is in, and to know when he is walking in spirit or not. If you know the difference of walking according to the spirit then you need no Bible. You just need to jump back "into" spirit by repenting and go on. Bible is good to humble me and get me back into walking by the spirit. But without true, eye to eye, fellowship of the saints our walk would be very shallow and miserable. Eye to eye fellowship sometimes is very unpleasant because wounds of our soul are exposed and very few christians want to deal with them. God needs to open our wounds for them to bleed again and then He heals them with His Holy oil, which is His soft word dunked in His Holy Spirit.
New Covenant Whole Gospel: How many modern Christians cannot honestly answer the questions below? Who is the King of Israel in John 1:49? Is the King of Israel now the Head of the Church, and are we His Body? Who is the “son” that is the “heir” to the land in Matthew 21:37-43? Why did God allow the Romans to destroy the Old Covenant temple and the Old Covenant city, about 40 years after His Son fulfilled the New Covenant promised in Jeremiah 31:31-34 in blood at Calvary? What the modern Church needs is a New Covenant Revival (Heb. 9:10) in which members of various denominations are willing to re-examine everything they believe and see if it agrees with the Bible, instead of the traditions of men. We need to be like the Bereans. It will be a battle between our flesh and the Holy Spirit. It will not be easy. If you get mad and upset when someone challenges your man-made Bible doctrines, that is your flesh resisting the truth found in God's Word. Nobody can completely understand the Bible unless they understand the relationship between the Old Covenant given to Moses at Mount Sinai and the New Covenant fulfilled in blood at Calvary. What brings all local churches together into one Body under the blood of Christ? The answer is found below. Let us now share the Old Testament Gospel found below with the whole world. On the road to Emmaus He said the Old Testament is about Him. He is the very Word of God in John 1:1, 14. Awaken Church to this truth. Jer 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: Jer 31:32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by husband unto them, saith the LORD: Jer 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. Jer 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more. Is the most important genealogy in the Bible found in Matthew 1:1 (Gal. 3:16)? Is God's Son the ultimate fulfillment of Israel (John 1:49)? Why has the modern Church done a pitiful job of sharing the Gospel with modern Orthodox Jews? Why would someone tell them they are God's chosen people and then fail to share the Gospel with them? Who is the seed of the woman promised in Genesis 3:15? What did Paul say about Genesis 12:3 in Galatians 3:8, 3:16? Who is the "son" in Psalm 2? Who is the "suffering servant" of Isaiah 53? Who would fulfill the New Covenant promised in Jeremiah 31:31-34? Who would fulfill the timeline of Daniel chapter 9 before the second temple was destroyed? Why have we not heard this simple Old Testament Gospel preached on Christian television in the United States on a regular basis? Once a person comes to understand the New Covenant promised to Israel and Judah in Jeremiah 31:31-34, which is found fulfilled by Christ during the first century in Hebrews 8:6-13, and Hebrews 10:16-18, and specifically applied to the Church in 2 Corinthians 3:6-8, and Hebrews 12:22-24, man-made Bible doctrines fall apart. Let us now learn to preach the whole Gospel until He comes back. The King of Israel is risen from the dead! (John 1:49, Acts 2:36) We are not come to Mount Sinai in Hebrews 12:18. We are come instead to the New Covenant church of Mount Zion and the blood in Hebrews 12:22-24. 1Jn 3:22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. 1Jn 3:23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment. 1Jn 3:24 And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us. God is not now a “racist”. He has extended His love to all races of people through the New Covenant fulfilled by His Son’s blood at Calvary. The Apostle Paul warned against using “genealogies” in our faith in 1 Tim. 1:4, and Titus 3:9. The following verses prove the Holy Spirit is the master teacher for those now in the New Covenant. Jer 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more. Mar 1:8 I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost. Joh 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. Act 11:16 Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost. 1Co 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. 1Jn 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. My own ideas for this keep evolving as I learn more about spirit. Currently, it means, *_"Letting go of all physical attachment -- especially attachments to Ego -- achieving Utter Humility to God, to Christ, and to the needs of others."_* It means being *_comfortable with discomfort._* It means relying on, and Trusting in, God's wisdom. From my few, brief experiences of Walking in the Spirit (being only too briefly with a Pure Heart), this means, * Unconditional Love, * Perfect Responsibility, * Utter Humility, and * Fearless Confidence. Each of these need to be perfectly aimed -- not as Ego would aim them -- but as God commands. 😎♥✝🇺🇸💯
I tried Bible based Christianity for years and it didn't work. It was only when I started reading A Course in Miracles daily that I've had a sense of being close to Jesus and often like I'm walking with him through most of the day. Great video by the way.
A Course of Miracles. So baby sprinkling is okay? Prayers to dead saints okay? Pope all good by you? Immortal Soul is fine? God is a Trinity - fine as well Purgatory Mary co-intercession? Kissing Icons? Unproven Conspiracy theories All false teachings - how do we know by careful Bible Study. Without the Bible all becomes subjective.
I disagree that Bible based Christianity results in a 'hopeless hope'. I believe it is full of hope and encouragement. the Holy Spirit allows us to discern the true doctrine and not fall into the error of cults like the RCC, Charismatics, etc, Btw, "A Course in Miracles" is a load of bunk, New Age teaching. It's antichrist, it denies the testimony the Father gives of the Son and the testimony the Son gives of the Father.
@@shailinbandhavgarh If the Catholic church is in error or a cult as you say then please explain why ALL Bible believing people receive their rule of faith, the Bible, from her, the Bride of Christ… History shows us that Jesus didn't leave us a bible, - the apostles didn't tell us which books belong in the bible, - the church fathers never agreed on the 27 books of the NT through the 4th century, - not only did they not agree but their individual lists of would-be NT canons were GROWING during this time. Therefore, if it wasn't the Catholic/Orthodox church, guided by the Holy Spirit, that compiled the 27 books of the NT in the 5th century, just 65 years AFTER the council of Nicaea which began the Trinitarian doctrine and subsequent councils of Ephesus and Chalcedon, with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and preserved these scriptures by laboriously hand copying them over and over throughout the centuries before the invention of the printing press, the “rule of faith” for many, please tell us who did? And if this church no longer exists today, what good is the text which came forth from her if she couldn't sustain herself?
I have appreciated almost all of the teaching videos from you Kel, truly grateful. But, on this you are simply wrong and wrong with serious implications. The scriptures do not "replace" Christ, they validate Christ. If God WROTE the scriptures, He is big enough to PROTECT what He wrote. He can work in spite of supposed "human, catholic" choices of the included books. The evil Caiphas prophesied Jesus was messiah. God can even anoint an ass to speak. (It happens somewhere every Sunday...) Are we to believe the Apocryphal books carry the same life, power, and resonance of supernatural inspiration? That I might know him and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of his sufferings." This and 100's of other verses help us know him. How can you dig so deeply into the Greek language and mock "trinity world" without a "Bible based" foundation and structure and ceiling? Your entire channel is "Bible based"! Perhaps the creeds are just as valid as scripture. This is no way takes away from truth that has consistently been proclaimed on this channel, but this is astonishing as well as alarming. I hope you will provide a follow up to clarify what you mean. Andy Staley is saying the same thing. We don't base our life on scripture, only on the resurrection. Great logic... we only know of the resurrection because of the scripture! Perhaps the Catholic deception of "We are unified by the spirit, not theology" is right. Maybe we can all sing kumbaiya together with Rick Warren and just trust Jesus for all the rest. Not. I am a charismatic believer and place GREAT value on intimacy and relationship with Jesus, but God's word is more sure than experience or even our perceived relationship with Jesus since many rely on "God told me" and end up in a spiritual train wreck.
If scriptures were not easy available to everyone then christians would thirst for a true fellowship of the saints where the real growth begins and gifts of the Spirit starts working. I think that was the True intention God had for his children.
"THESE ARE WRITTEN, that you may believe Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you might have life in his name" (John 20:31). If John wrote his account for such a reason then how could one argue otherwise? Doesn't John know the letter kills? Or is it what Peter says, that people misunderstand Paul's letters? Seems like the apostles did not actually abide by this teaching you bring. "4 And as they went through the cities, they delivered them the decrees for to keep, that were ordained of the apostles and elders which were at Jerusalem. 5 And so were the churches established in the faith, and increased in number daily." (Acts 16:4-5). Paul would constantly in his letters go back to the hand delivered "dogmas" for correction and teaching. The idea that they didn't have a canon is kind of a redherring, because they had the firsthand teaching of the apostles and the dogmas delivered unto them by which they were to abide by. You seem to be presenting this false dichotomy between the written word and The True Word of God. But the written word given through the apostles were in line with the word of God. And those who claimed to be led by the Spirit had to abide by what was already established by the men who were approved teachers of God. You also have a very superficial take on where the Scriptures come from. Almost like you are trying to minimize and disprove it. So the congregations under the apostles received the 'dogmas' in writing and by word, but you have a problem with it now? The New Testament points away from the New Testament? Not exactly. Because the New Testament writings is supplementary and not antithetical to the Word of God. If it was, then, why did the apostles even deliver writings to them? Of course we should be Bible based, because the Bible is written by those who wrote by the Spirit of God, and those who claim to have the Spirit obviously cannot contradict them.
BY CHANCE, I FOUND YOUR CHANNEL TODAY. OR, MAYBE NOT! THANK YOU FOR ANOTHER CONFIRMATION TO NOT CONFOUND THE DOCTRINE OF MEN, WITH WHOM I AM TO WORSHIP. JESUS CHRIST MAKES IT VERY CLEAR THAT HE GOES TO, DOES THE WORK OF AND SPEAKS WHAT HE IS TOLD OF OUR FATHER!!! THANK YOU. I HOPE YOU RETURN SOON.
I understand your point but I personally wouldn't use it as I think Bible should be with all its flaws the source we should work with and use it for arguments. Bible-based Christianity in my opinion clearly preaches one God, that Father is the God, the only true God, and that Jesus is Messiah, Son of God, a human, and there are only few not clear passages due to translation, or even alteration which deserve to be studied and cleared. So Bible-based Christianity is in my opinion strictly anti-Trinitarian.
All is of God. This doesn't leave any room for independent thinking apart from His Sovereignty. If some guy in the 3rd century got the idea to comprise a volume of books and teamed up with a group of other guys to vote on what they felt were all similarly inspired who are we to say unto Him, "What doest thou?"
Nothing is bad in gathering everything what can help to walk the Walk, but the problem is like Kel said in this video, the walk became Bible based instead of Spirit led with the help of scriptures to measure and see if you are not out of track.
@Mckaule The biggest problem I have with bible based Christians isn't what made the cannon or even the fact that they're not really reading their Bible much at all. The real problem is their understanding of the English word being translated and whether or not it actually conveys the original intent of the writer. The tools we have today to be a Berean should be changing the doctrines we believe in. Consider the word [g166.aiónios] translated "eternal" or "everlasting." Do you realize the magnitude between the difference between "eternal" punishment and "age-long" or "age-lasting" or "eonian" punishment. It's huge!
Do you think there was something the apostles had that the instant generation after them didn’t? Maybe that was the last group of people actually vindicated by the Spirit and since then it has just been individuals(prophets) who have risen over time spiritually legit?
In the mouth of two or three let every word be established. Doctrine should only be made from what was witnessed by more than one. I apply this to scripture as well.
Maybe When Paul was magnifying the spirit of the law, fullness of grace, and ressurection over our own works of the law and the letter of the law, some interpreted it that mankind is just inherently evil and sinners. "If that was the case the Serpent could have went straight to Adam instead of deceiving Eve." Apostle James makes it simple and let's us know that we have a temptable or temptation nature, which when given into turns into lust, and then leads towards sin and death.
This… *1 John 1:8* If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. *Revelation 3:10* As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: *Romans 3:23* For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God *Ecclesiastes **7:20* For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not. *Romans 3:20* Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. It even says in Proverbs 24:9 that the thought of foolishness is a sin. So just having stupid thoughts is sinful. We are all sinners.
I guess one would have to discern between the ideas of God and the ideas of men: Gen 18:20 And the LORD said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous; Jer 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
Without the so called, “NT,” you would know nothing about the Messiah, or Paul/Saul (who you quote so often)? We would know nothing. So, what exactly are you advocating, please?
Yeah I know some things you are saying is hard for some to hear. I was thinking about these same things then I saw your video. I was thinking about what cause all the divisions in the church. I was thinking about all the counsels who have told us what to believe. But the councils are divided themselves on what they have decreed. Even with in the bible there are some beliefs about Jesus that varied and I don't think they meant to decree it all. God like to use people to share the gospel but I'm seeing around the world that The Lord has been appearing to people and the become believers. But I see a lot of churches preaching the word to make people believe but when God decides to reveal himself to a person they are truly changed.
I believe Apostle James would call it impure religion and defiled. I also believe that in the oracles of God which is in the law and the prophets, we are able to mature and discern good and evil in time. I have no problem with questionable translations of 1 Timothy 3:16 if 1 Timothy 3:1 is considered, along with it being the good works of God the Father alone who is good. I am more concerned however of certain translations of 1 John 5:20 which seem to contradict 1 John 5:11. I have learned to see the law and the prophets as the church fathers and spoken thoughts and ways of our lawgiver in heaven. Christ is the woman's seed when he was spoken of , when he was born, and when he was ressurected. And the true God will give him the throne of his father David which is forever, in his translated kingdom that is not of this world, and the disciples have glory with him before the foundation of that world. Jesus Christ never honoured and glorified himself as the God of Abraham in his gospel/ministry but actually said that he knows him and keep his logos/sayings.
John 5:38. And ye have not his word abiding in you: for whom he hath sent, him ye believe not. 39. Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. 40. And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life. The scriptures tell us of the coming one and because of the writings about him, we should recognise that it is him... as the blind man said: Jesus, son of David!!! They recognised him as his works lined up with prophetic scripture... Now that you've recognised him; hear ye him!
Yeh why are people using this verse as if it goes against using scripture???? He said that the scripture testifies for him or about him so he actually saying that scripture is important, right???
@@Davey3 Yes it is important as signs on a journey help us find our way to the destination... but once we've arrived we don't need the signs... at the same time we do need the encouragement of those who held fast to God's promises, we do need the rebuke etc... plus there are instructions on how to live in Christ so we don't get led astray/deceived... but the key is KNOWING CHRIST personally and not confining him to a book (just reading about him)...
I'm an ex "awakened" new ager converted to the true Christ by the Holy Spirit and *disagree* with this man's *self-conceited* conclusion. I share some insight into the REALITY of the Holy Trinity...
The biggest cause of people clutching at their favourite version of the bible and claiming it is the unerring word of God, is because of the myth that "God is in total control of everything." Now if this was true it defies free will. It means God was leading all translators, so why are there so many versions of the bible because if God set it out in our translation then there would only ever be one version, yet there are some known mistakes. It means He also guided the Mormon and JW versions. It also implies He created and lead Hitler and Stalin and every road accident and death, and all the other religions. Now most christians would attack me for saying that. For saying that God doesnt know what socks you will put on tomorrow, but think about that, because YOU have not made that decision yet. Does anyone notice when Abraham had to be stopped by the angel from putting the knife to Isaac, that God said "NOW I KNOW you are serious!" Dont get me wrong you who are incensed and would rant at me, I am not saying God is not powerful, He is all powerful, but He guides and encourages and suggests for our good, he doesnt force anyone. We have free will and God doesnt know what we will do with that till we decide and go do it. Hence the thing we clutch and carry to church may not be exactly what God would have written. But it does lay out the problem of rebellion, the plan of redemption, and the promise of life in the next age for those who seek Him.
Sheep clinging to what they suppose is a correspondence course from God rather than clinging to their Shepherd the Lord Jesus. God's word is a risen man in whom is life. Life is in him not a book. There is no life in the book. God put His life somewhere else.
Before the rooster crows you gone deny me three times. God doesn’t know but Jesus a created being knows . I have never seen more blind people than a JW.
The prophecy of the Natsarim (Nazarenes) is related to Jesus' identity as the Messiah. In the Hebrew Bible, the term "Natsarim" (נָצְרִים) means "watchmen" or "guardians," but it also has a messianic connotation. One of the key prophecies related to Jesus and the Natsarim is found in Isaiah 11:1, which says: "There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots. The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord." This prophecy speaks of a future Messiah who would arise from the lineage of Jesse, the father of King David. The "Branch" (Netzer in Hebrew) refers to the Messiah, who would be a watchman or guardian of God's people. Jesus, as the Messiah, fulfilled this prophecy and was called the "Natsarim" or "Nazarene," which means "the Watchman" or "the Guardian." This title signified his role as the protector and savior of God's people. Additionally, Matthew 2:23 refers to Jesus as a Nazarene, fulfilling the prophecy of Judges 13:5, which says that the Messiah would be a Nazirite, consecrated to God from birth. These prophecies and titles highlight Jesus' identity as the Messiah, the Watchman, and the Guardian of God's people.
I am struggling with the same thoughts . How does the Bible/scriptures have a place in a Christian life , and what does Paul mean in 2 Timothy 3:16 , did Paul had a 66 book canon in mind ? Jesus himself referred many times To to scripture , when he talked with the devil in the wildernis , or when he was talking with the sadducees about the resurrection. Matthew 22: 29 Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God. So if Jesus knew the scriptures we should also . I think the problem is in many churches that it became all about knowing scripture . You want to know what happens with the book of acts , the book of acts became the book of thoughts . Our heavenly bread became : reading the word , instead of doing the word john 4:34 Having the right theology became more important than bearing fruits of the spirit . People are often more led by their denomination/Or their own interpretation of scripture than by the spirit of God .
In John 1:14 when it became flesh , however the logos/word is greater than any one made flesh . Check out Deuteronomy 9:10 and Exodus 20:1 in the Septuagint. Logos like Rhema is spoken thoughts and ways of the true God, not first and foremost a person that has been made flesh by his spoken thoughts and ways.
When Jesus was on earth the Jewish leaders were not following scripture. Jesus quoted the scripture "They worship me in vain; their teachings are merely human rules." and "Leave them; they are blind guides. If the blind lead the blind, both will fall into a pit.” Jesus explained what will happen in later times with the parable of the weeds: 36 Then he left the crowd and went into the house. His disciples came to him and said, “Explain to us the parable of the weeds in the field.” 37 He answered, “The one who sowed the good seed is the Son of Man. 38 The field is the world, and the good seed stands for the people of the kingdom. The weeds are the people of the evil one, 39 and the enemy who sows them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the harvesters are angels. 40 “As the weeds are pulled up and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of the age. 41 The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will weed out of his kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil. All things that cause stumbling and people who practice lawlessness are the weeds that will be destroyed at the harvest [Armageddon]. So people will continue to be misled, will continue to be false Christians until the harvest when they are destroyed. At 2 Thessalonians 2:6, Paul wrote, regarding his day, about “the thing that acts as a restraint” on the lawless one. What was that? It was the restraining force of the apostles. Their presence, with their powerful gifts bestowed by holy spirit, prevented apostasy from then becoming an epidemic. (Acts 2:1-4; 1 Corinthians 12:28) But when the apostles had died, by about the end of the first century, the restraining brakes were removed. So corruption was to be expected.
I see what youre saying, But if not for the bible we would have no clue about the way of Jesus, no idea about denying ourself and following him, no idea about baptism in water and the holy spirit. Wouldnt even know there is the holy spirit of God that dwells in those who believe in his son, wouldnt know anything about Jesus being the messiah. We would know nothing. We would have no idea what any of Jesus' teachings were and be lost in our own way. Would have no idea who God is and what he requires. Jesus seemed to point to scripture all the time to refute lies. Without the scriptures anyone could say anything is the truth and wed have no way to refute it. Someone could say Buddha is the son of God and we must follow him. How can anyone know who Jesus is and listen to him without the gosoel accounts? Jesus said his words are eternal life. His words are in scripture and if we dont know his word that comes from God, we dont have eternal life. Anyone can come saying "Jesus speaks to me" and be 100% wrong. If it contradicts scripture then we know they are lying. If we didnt have scripture and Jesus' words written, we wouldnt have a clue if they were lying or not. Jesus is the way, and his way is recorded for us in the"new testament"
True. If it is a matter of replacing the Spirit with the letter, then that would be a problem. But it's not the case with the writings of the apostles. 14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher 15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! (Romans 10:14-15). "19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; 20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;" (Ephesians 2:19-20). We can call upon the Lord because we have heard from those who "from the beginning were eyewitnesses and servants of the word" (Luke 1). That's according to God's will and therefore doesn't contradict the Spirit. In Acts we read that the Jews every Sabbath heard the voices of the Prophets. We have the voices of the apostles through their writings.
"Anyone can come saying "Jesus speaks to me" and be 100% wrong." This only matters if you have appointed yourself as judge. You will know them by their fruits. No Bible required.
@@TheTrinityDelusion understood, but how would we know that "you will know them by their fruits" if we didnt have those words of the Lord Jesus written in the bible?
@@TheTrinityDelusion I think you need to differentiate between the belief that the Bible is the word of God, and those who believe the Bible teaches God's word. I've seen many of your videos. Our view, I would say is pretty much identical. Of course, one could always allow for differences. But in regards to God and Christ, the Law and of good works, being sent into the world just as the Lord being sent into the world. That we have all in common. It's not about not needing the Bible. That's very similar to what you get from Muslims and Jews saying God doesn't need sacrifice. We'll, true from a rational point of view, but it's not about what is needed, but what God has appointed. God appointed servants of the word to draw people to Himself. That doesn't contradict the fact that we are taught by God. God did not need to send Cornelius to Peter, but He did anyway, because He has a appointed it to be so.
Although i want all my believes matching with scripture, my Faith isn’t based on the Bible . Is don’t believe In Christ because of scripture. I believe in Christ because of Sin , And i knew sin before I knew the scripture. I am not well educated about the origin of scripture and if there is error in translations or Something , but that doesn’t shake my faith . Sin is a real Thing with or without scripture . I was convicted by the spirit of my sin before I knew scripture
Dead on. I wish you would consider joining with us in faith and love as we have very similar views. Consider it as ive written you in the past and am seemingly ignored. Unity in this sacred faith, my brother.
*_The Bible points away from itself!_* This is pure wisdom. *_TRUTH_* is spirit; for the Letter leads to death (2 Cor. 3.1-8). *_Parable_* A wise man pointed to the Moon, but someone who did not understand looked *_only_* at the finger. This is what Bible readers are doing. They are looking to the Bible as if the INK were Truth, and it isn't! 😎♥✝🇺🇸💯
The bible is an instruction book of how to live your life, that is what i get from it and to know Who GOD is and his son and what he did. Follow instructions.
I like you're thoughts on the fact that the trinity is false teaching. But on this topic in my opinion you're overthinking it!. The completion of the writings of the NT was one of the reasons for the giving of the holy spirit.
Unitarians have a habit of becoming isolationist. Myself included. This video is like a man saying I don't need oxygen, I only need God, while God is the one Giving him the oxygen. God worked through the apostles. Everything this man knows is by the writings of the apostles, and he says he doesn't need what God supplied.
@@Mckaule he made a comment under this video. The ridiculous take on the formation of the Canon clearly demonstrates his agenda. The claim that Paul wouldn't want his writings to be canonized. But I'm done with this. Peace.
@@TheTrinityDelusion the Holy spirit is not a person, the same as the Word is not a person in the beginning . The word was the Logos or plan that God had before the creation as we know it was formed by the angels, not jesus. & in that beginning God spoke the word & it was done. The holy spirit is Gods power by which his plan took place through the angels. That power was given to jesus upon his baptism through John baptist... Without measure to use in his ministry to perform miracles, signs & wonders..it verified his claim to be the Son of God.& helped to spread the gospel, though in the end his enemies temporarily silenced him. The apostles carried that mission that Jesus started. They were given the holy spirit to help bring attention to the gospel which is; the things to do with the kingdom of God on earth & the name of jesus christ! The Holy spirit gifts as they we're known could only be passed on by the apostles & therefore only outlasted the lives of those that were the next generation that the apostles passed the gifts to. So that the miracles & signs faded from view. So what replaced those gift & has come down to us today. It was the Word written down by the apostles & their companions in faith. So on that sense the work of the holy spirit was complete at that time. One of the reasons that the holy spirit was withdrawn was that being human there were examples of the gifts were being abused . It's for this & other reasons Paul wrote to the Corinthians in ch 13 & 14 about how to use the spirit gifts wisely!....but also indicates that they would eventually fade from view, when that which is mature & complete is come , & only 3 things would remain....faith, hope & love & eventually the only one of these 3 that would remain forever will be Love ie Gods love! So Paul said in his days that they were looking through a dark glass , only knew in part & prophesied in part etc .that which is perfect would come, not in the sense we understand perfect to be more the idea of complete... or mature! We've could see from the words of jesus give to John in exile in the book of Revelation a fulfilment of that prediction! John Thomas in the book 'the faith in the last days", makes these comments among others on 1CORINTHIANS 13.. Pg224-(229 ), on the topic of "the body of Christ...in the days of the apostles the institution was in its infancy, childhood & then maturity in the time of John's old age & exile. During these years it's administrations were in part, consisting of apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors & teachers; so that knowledge & prophesyings were in part & not distributed to every member of the body. But in process of time that perfection came by which the body of Christ could sustain itself without baptismal gifts; & then that which was in part could be done away. The Manifestation of the spirit being withheld , all that remained to the body was faith, hope & love"
*_Men of the Ego_* require "Stability" and "Certainty," for they have no FAITH in God to lead them through uncertainty. This is why 4th Century scholars NEEDED a "Fixed Meaning" to scripture so they could have Experts VOTE on that Meaning. ...so they could create Dogma by which to rule over men. They rely, like the *_Pharisees,_* in biblical literalism -- in the INK, which is the "finger" pointing away from itself toward *_Truth_* which is *_Spirit._* 😎♥✝🇺🇸💯
Sounds like you have replaced faith with doubt. I choose a child-like faith, that God can and has worked through faulty human history to give us His word for today.
It's true that Jesus used and quoted scriptures but he did it with a right Spirit. He was Spirit led and this new Spirit he received from the Father resonated with what he had heard or read in Pentateuch and other writings because they were written through the very same Spirit. Spirit gave him remembrance of what he had heard from scriptures. The very same Spirit gives us remembrance of what we had read in scriptures, be it OT or new testament because all of them are God inspired and those who wrote were writing inspired by the same spirit. But Jesus was not parroting scriptures everytime, he couldn't read in scriptures that now he must approach a particular man and heal him, or say something, cast demon e.t.c. We must not be led by scriptures but by the Spirit of Truth together with all GOD inspired scriptures using them as a second witness.
The literal indwelling of the Holy Spirit, that is only possible in Christ, is very rarely taught or discussed and yet that is the mark of a child of God. From personal experience, most are not interested. Their Christianity is based on tribal affiliation and then they become locked into a set of assumptions that are often wrong. The scriptures provide the data but without the spirit they cannot be correctly understood. The truth is simple. God created his only begotten son in a womb to create many begotten again sons of God, one in spirit with their creator. All promised from before the foundation of the world.
And tribal affiliation means serving their creed and because the creed becomes the thing they serve, it also is their chief idol. They don't read the Bible to learn anything except how to make it conform to their creed.
Yeah good point and I’m wondering whether we would have heard about him without it. From what I’ve read (pardon the pun) Israelites were huge on stories passed down from generation to generation and the oral traditions were significant. I guess penning them down was to solidify, communicate and for posterity
Plenty of writing outside the bible about him and that book, it's a best seller! translated into more languages than any other, read by everybody! ;-) good luck.
True, but attachment to the Book, and reliance on the INK in that book, misses the TRUTH to which the Book points. For Truth is Spirit which leads to life everlasting, and NOT the INK which leads to death (2 Cor. 3.1-8). 😎♥✝🇺🇸💯

I think this is one clear example where the Bible tells us that not many of us should desire to be teachers. Teachers will be judged way more strictly, I wonder if you are overcome by fear every time you introduce a new heretical video? It goes without saying that 27 Books of the New Testament are universally accepted by all churches. There is no exception to it. Do you think 2,000 years plus of scholarship is less important than your musing? BTW they were not discovered or agreed, they were generally accepted and defended by early church fathers. The church simply RECOGNISED their authority. And there lies the difference between what you are saying / questioning without any viable answers and what is well documented and defended. I wonder if you would be open to the data that is already there, that as you put it "you used to be evangelical", have you been introduced to many of the existing arguments or was your “Church” really lazy and disinterested in apologetics? I am astonished that you have that many followers, are people that illiterate? BTW, without the Bible we have no guards and sects and cults are always doing their best to either attack the Bible or make it less relevant to the truth so that you can make up your own truth in your/our own image. You are an older gentleman, I wonder if you ever wonder what does God think and how will he judge your actions, would he deem you self-seeking or will he see your actions as selfless. Did you invest your time in presenting the case of others in the way that they want them to be seen, or are you building a straw man arguments in order to justify self-glorification?
It's Simple: The Old Testament is the New Testament Concealed & The New Testament is the Old Testament Revealed. It's a Masterpiece. If you study & Pray with it you will be filled with the Fire of the HOLY SPIRIT. The promise is; we will walk in the same Miracles...Healing the sick & casting out Demons. Jesus is the WORD.
You forgot to mention the important thing - to walk in love for God is love. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name cast out demons, and in your name do many miracles?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you who practice lawlessness.’

@TheTrinityDelusion Was Paul writing about uninspired "writings" in 1Cor15:3 when he wrote "according to the scriptures?" A better word for Christianity (in the meaning of the true thing) is true discipleship. Christianity (or how it should be called; Christivanity) isn't even biblical. It's a religion of man spread throughout organization and denominations of man. None of this crap comes from the Lord. There's a good reason why there's no Christianity in your bible. The Heathen in the days of old used the phrase 'Christian' to refer to Christ's disciples. Man's religion of Christianity is based on that term and yet has nothing to do with denying yourself, taking up your cross and following the Great Shepherd.
I would say, I believe in Messianic Judaism or even as a Hebrew. I know the Lord referenced the Torah, the Tanakh and Psalms in all his teaching. Wow. You're against Bible-based Christianity and basing your arguments on the Bible. You're saying the Bible speaks of being against itself. Bible-based Christianity replaces Christ with a book. For me, the Bible IS Christ and His word. And to know His Son is to know Him. Now preferably, He would be with us always, you know, in person. But that hasn't happened. Yet. (Ignoring the silly preterists.) So in the meantime, we're stuck with relying on ohso human (fallible) translations and interpretations. Sure, we don't have the originals. Can you imagine if we did? Talk about a fight between Michael and Satan over the body of Moses!! Who came up with this and that? True, the words New Testament and Old Testament arenot inspired or in the original Scriptures. Nor are punctuation marks, capitalization, chapters, verses, the title Hebrews for the "book" of what we now call Hebrews. Yeah, it seems God has not made it easy for us. To paraphrase Job, God giveth, God taketh away, God maketh hard. And yet, are we not going to say, Blessed be the name of Yahweh? Would Paul be turning inhis grave if he knew how we've mucked everything up? Definitely not. He knew while he was Yet Alive that almost all in Asia had abandoned him at the end of his career. But he also knew he had fought the good fight and his future looked exceedingly bright. And they abandoned him without being Bible-based. Go figure. They had been Paul-based, through him heralding His word verbally and/or via his epistles. If Paul has his own theology or truth or gospel, he received it from the risen Christ. He surely didn't get it from Saul. The so-called New Testament is in the so-called Old Testament. Does that make any sense. In Jer., chapter 31. I prefer to call them the Hebrew Scriptures and the Greek Scriptures, but others persuasively, to me, allege that the correct cutting of His word is not between the two Scriptures but between the two gospels, between Peter and Paul, between Jesus and the risen Christ, between the Circumcision and the Uncircumcision (Gal. 2:7), between the bride of the Lambkin and the body of Christ. Who came up with this and that idea? Men? Well, per Paul, all is out of God. In Isaiah 46, God declares through the prophet, I declare the end from the beginning. For me, in the absolute sense, God knows and is in control of everything. We are merely puddy in the Great Potter's hand. Not a popular we don't have free will argument, admittedly. Well Kel, is it, nice to meet you. I've never been curious about the church, be it its fathers, history, doctrine. The Deceiver lives. It's his eon. Like Caleb and Joshua, there are a very few men (and Bible scholars) of faith out there that have been gifted to me. Yes, the gate is narrow. Take care.
"For me, the Bible IS Christ" And that's the problem. " Now preferably, He would be with us always, you know, in person. But that hasn't happened. Yet. (Ignoring the silly preterists.)" Really? Do you not know that Christ is with and in every child of God?
Of course. And I know, because of Him manifested in the Bible, that God was in Christ, conciliation the world to Himself. Ah, but to actually be in the body of Christ in actual fact and not just in spiririt. That's what I'm talking about. In the end times the apostasy increases big time. Whether we like it or not, whether we would will or not, that's HIS will.
@@johnirish989 "Ah, but to actually be in the body of Christ in actual fact and not just in spiririt." That doesn't make any sense. One necessarily goes with the other.
Endeavor to present yourself to God qualified, an unashamed worker, Correctly cutting the word of truth. Perhaps thee most spiritual verse in Scripture.
Good questions. I believe we have a God given responsibility to be discerning and critiquing, and to question and challenge everything.

He’s not being honest and clear about how the biblical cannon was decided .. it’s very clear that the apocrypha and other non canonical scriptures are not inspired at all from god…
For example the apocrypha is not inspired at all ….
Also by disagreeing with 2 Timothy 3:16 you’re essentially saying only some scripture is inspired and you can lick and choose what is inspired and what’s not instead of believing Paul who receive a revelation for Jesus himself…
Yes there where not 66 books but that’s irrelevant at the time when Christianity was starting the faith was progressing and evolving….. there was all of the books of the law from the old testament so that was what the Jews followed ….
As Christians it was actually needed to have a New Testament because we are no longer under the law of Moses or the laws of Judaism … we are under a new covenant and under the law of christ….
This dear man although he has some good truths about the Trinity he is still spreading misinformation and lacking trust in the biblical record and this video does nothing but cause seeds of doubt , concern and shatters faith in authority of the Bible as the inspired word……

I do think that it makes sense that Paul was mainly talking about the Hebrew Scriptures as there really was no Christian Greek Scriptures at the time.

Hello Kel Just wanted to thank you for all you've taught me. I hope you're well
'Sola scriptura' in contrast to the tradition of the catholic church is one thing, but it has become protestantism's own trap. Reading things in the letter only, lacking the Spirit. Or cherry picking scriptures to fit some doctrines. We can twist the scriptures any way we want in our carnal minds. To come to full truth and life we need the Spirit of the Lord.

There ARE others who can see the Bible has become a golden calf to modern Christendom, replacing Jesus, who said…
“You search the scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and they are they which testify of me.” ~John 5:39
If we believe Scripture teaches how live by the Spirit, we are deceived and live by the Letter.
May God bless & keep you brother Kel.
Understanding that this is the base level knowledge necessary to graduate is gold. Your Bible is a starter text.
Well they are right about God, that he is one and that Jesus was created by God and the Holy Spirit is the spirit of God.
@skinnyandshort7108 yes but then they go off the rails and say Jesus was the very first creation of God and Jesus is michael the archangel. Then Michael created everything else including all the other angels.
They know the trinity doctrine isn't true but they then deny God and Jesus in many other ways
@@TimKollat Well Jesus was the first creation by God. You disagree?
@@TimKollat before I continue, do you believe Jesus had a pre-existence before he was a man on earth? A life in heaven with his Father?
They love to build their own salvation. Same ole story since the beginning of sin. They can not and will not ever just humble themselves before God. It's just too simple for them. 😉

Indeed. One way to look at it is that men of Ego need crutches that are physical or visible -- like the *_INK_* of scripture. They cannot see or rely on the Spirit to which the INK points.
This was the problem of the Pharisees and Saducees. This was the problem of the 2nd, 3rd and 4th century "experts" who were jealous of the Greek Philosophers. Gregory of Nyssa, for instance, in his Logical-Fallacy-laden 12 Letters Against Eunomius provided us insights into the madness which drove them. Their need for a physical crutch -- a FIXED meaning with which they could *_Legislate_* the behavior of men. They were terrified of *_uncertainty_* -- the kind we must endure when we put our Full Faith in God and in Christ.

Its really amazing how the young church survived, and more than that, just having the Tora and the prophets, all to take the attention from in christ to in the bible.

Great video. Do you have another video, on how we can build a personal relationship with Christ without using the Bible? Or did I miss your point. Thanks.
Genuinely do this all the time and you will have a relationship with Christ - Matthew 16:24-25.
Yep. We can do nothing but offer ourselves to Him.
I agree with what you're saying as I've experienced both: Being led by the Spirit in carrying out God's will at a particular time AND performing "works" based on what I thought ought to be done. Frankly, most times I've performed "works" I've harmed more than I've helped, and I can only thank God that he's forgiven me for my error in doing so
@@TheTrinityDelusion It is God, "willing and doing of His good pleasure."
Here's a good question; What does Christian mean? If you are a Christian, what are you?

Thank you for this. Sometimes I have to check my ingrained doctrines at the door and remember I have been unshackled from the belief system born of men, not God. I was just reading the other day where Paul said women have to wear a head covering and not talk during church. Why do we practice other things Paul says, but not those things? I think “apocryphal” books such as:

Men try to equip themselves. God wants none of it. He only wants an empty soul and He provides everything His children need.
Jer 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
Jer 31:32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by husband unto them, saith the LORD:
Jer 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
(John 1:49, Acts 2:36)
We are not come to Mount Sinai in Hebrews 12:18.

It's a vague phrase to me.
From my few, brief experiences of Walking in the Spirit (being only too briefly with a Pure Heart), this means,
* Unconditional Love,
* Perfect Responsibility,
* Utter Humility, and
* Fearless Confidence.
Each of these need to be perfectly aimed -- not as Ego would aim them -- but as God commands.

It's antichrist, it denies the testimony the Father gives of the Son and the testimony the Son gives of the Father.
@@shailinbandhavgarh If the Catholic church is in error or a cult as you say then please explain why ALL Bible believing people receive their rule of faith, the Bible, from her, the Bride of Christ…
History shows us that Jesus didn't leave us a bible, - the apostles didn't tell us which books belong in the bible, - the church fathers never agreed on the 27 books of the NT through the 4th century, - not only did they not agree but their individual lists of would-be NT canons were GROWING during this time.
Is Kel in some type of rebellion?
Where did this idea come from That men are sinners?
uhh. the Bible and also observation in real life
Maybe When Paul was magnifying the spirit of the law, fullness of grace, and ressurection over our own works of the law and the letter of the law, some interpreted it that mankind is just inherently evil and sinners. "If that was the case the Serpent could have went straight to Adam instead of deceiving Eve."
Apostle James makes it simple and let's us know that we have a temptable or temptation nature, which when given into turns into lust, and then leads towards sin and death.
This…
*1 John 1:8*
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
*Revelation 3:10*
As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
*Romans 3:23*
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God
*Ecclesiastes **7:20*
For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.
*Romans 3:20*
Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
It even says in Proverbs 24:9 that the thought of foolishness is a sin. So just having stupid thoughts is sinful. We are all sinners.
I guess one would have to discern between the ideas of God and the ideas of men:
Gen 18:20 And the LORD said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous;
Jer 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
Without the so called, “NT,” you would know nothing about the Messiah, or Paul/Saul (who you quote so often)?
We would know nothing. So, what exactly are you advocating, please?
It's not about what you know but who you know.
The bible became an idol.
They had the Torah and the a prophets.
The biggest cause of people clutching at their favourite version of the bible and claiming it is the unerring word of God, is because of the myth that "God is in total control of everything."
Now if this was true it defies free will.
Does anyone notice when Abraham had to be stopped by the angel from putting the knife to Isaac, that God said "NOW I KNOW you are serious!"
Dont get me wrong you who are incensed and would rant at me, I am not saying God is not powerful, He is all powerful, but He guides and encourages and suggests for our good, he doesnt force anyone.
Happy is he who is reading.... (Rev. 1:3.)
One of the key prophecies related to Jesus and the Natsarim is found in Isaiah 11:1, which says:
"There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots. The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord."
This prophecy speaks of a future Messiah who would arise from the lineage of Jesse, the father of King David.
You’re too good to not have learned about Paul, yet. Really?
Esoteric Christianity - spirit led/based focusing on the essence of Christ's teachings and principles of natural law
I am struggling with the same thoughts . How does the Bible/scriptures have a place in a Christian life , and what does Paul mean in 2 Timothy 3:16 , did Paul had a 66 book canon in mind ?
Jesus himself referred many times
To to scripture , when he talked with the devil in the wildernis , or when he was talking with the sadducees about the resurrection.
Our heavenly bread became : reading the word , instead of doing the word john 4:34
Having the right theology became more important than bearing fruits of the spirit .
People are often more led by their denomination/Or their own interpretation of scripture than by the spirit of God .
Do u think Paul is a lier? He contradicts Jesus!
He never contradicts Jesus.
Do you have an example?

In John 1:14 when it became flesh , however the logos/word is greater than any one made flesh . Check out Deuteronomy 9:10 and Exodus 20:1 in the Septuagint. Logos like Rhema is spoken thoughts and ways of the true God, not first and foremost a person that has been made flesh by his spoken thoughts and ways.
When Jesus was on earth the Jewish leaders were not following scripture. Jesus quoted the scripture "They worship me in vain; their teachings are merely human rules."
and "Leave them; they are blind guides. If the blind lead the blind, both will fall into a pit.”
Jesus explained what will happen in later times with the parable of the weeds:
36 Then he left the crowd and went into the house. His disciples came to him and said, “Explain to us the parable of the weeds in the field.”
37 He answered, “The one who sowed the good seed is the Son of Man.
38 The field is the world, and the good seed stands for the people of the kingdom. The weeds are the people of the evil one,
39 and the enemy who sows them is the devil.
"Anyone can come saying "Jesus speaks to me" and be 100% wrong."
This only matters if you have appointed yourself as judge. You will know them by their fruits. No Bible required.

"The completion of the writings of the NT was one of the reasons for the giving of the holy spirit."
Where did you get this information?
One of the reasons that the holy spirit was withdrawn was that being human there were examples of the gifts were being
abused .
Pg224-(229 ), on the topic of "the body of Christ...in the days of the apostles
the institution was in its infancy, childhood & then maturity in the time of John's old age & exile.

Sounds like you have replaced faith with doubt. I choose a child-like faith, that God can and has worked through faulty human history to give us His word for today.
Sounds like you weren't listening.
Interesting data points, thanks.
@@TheTrinityDelusion exactly, and if scripture is at odds with the creed, fudge the scripture and pretend it fits.

The Heathen in the days of old used the phrase 'Christian' to refer to Christ's disciples.
Man's religion of Christianity is based on that term and yet has nothing to do with denying yourself, taking up your cross and following the Great Shepherd.
I would say, I believe in Messianic Judaism or even as a Hebrew. I know the Lord referenced the Torah, the Tanakh and Psalms in all his teaching. I do not think Peter, John, James or even Paul could be nothing else....question, when these Apostles studied scripture, what did they study? Ahhh! The Torah and Tanakh.
The Torah never went away, it was never abolished Romans 3:31 and 2:12-29 and really look at verse 13 - For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.
The word became flesh. God's word is a risen man.
@@TheTrinityDelusion God's word dwelled in the Living Man, the word entered flesh...the Word you hear is not mine. John 14:24 & 2 Corinthians 5:19 just as Hebrews 1:1-2 kjv.
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: (why the son? John 14:6)
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever "I have commanded you" and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
We establish the word by Matthew 18:16 kjv.
I will put "my word" in his mouth deuteronomy 18:18-19 kjv.
Jeremiah 29:13 kjv. Every Day!
Tell me, did the Lord follow the Torah? With Every Step! The Pharisees and elders are the one which corrupted the word, the Lord came just as David to show us the way. He never turned to the right or left.
@@tmcge3325 Jesus did not teach or keep the Torah. Neither did Paul. This is why they were murdered...they had faith in God and obeyed him. Jesus is greater than Moses.

The Spirit of Truth bears witness to the Truth. Jesus said, "thy word is truth." Without the Scriptures, what has the Spirit to testify to?
Don't listen to this man!

Until Christ is fully formed in us all,

Take care.
"For me, the Bible IS Christ"
And that's the problem.
" Now preferably, He would be with us always, you know, in person. But that hasn't happened. Yet. (Ignoring the silly preterists.)"
Really? Do you not know that Christ is with and in every child of God?
Of course. And I know, because of Him manifested in the Bible, that God was in Christ, conciliation the world to Himself.
Ah, but to actually be in the body of Christ in actual fact and not just in spiririt. That's what I'm talking about.
In the end times the apostasy increases big time. Whether we like it or not, whether we would will or not, that's HIS will.
@@johnirish989 "Ah, but to actually be in the body of Christ in actual fact and not just in spiririt."
That doesn't make any sense. One necessarily goes with the other.
Endeavor to present yourself to God qualified, an unashamed worker, Correctly cutting the word of truth. Perhaps thee most spiritual verse in Scripture.
Lots of things have been signed and sealed but have yet to be delivered. Except of course for the silly preterists.
MARK & AVOID???
