I spent this past week with my dad who was in town for a visit. I wasn't sure if I would have time to make a video, but decided the two of us could put something together. This is a simple picture frame made with pallet wood. No miter cuts or exact measuring needed!

Thank you for sharing your Dad with us - and providing a project to boot. It is always fun to watch you, and having your Dad participating was a bonus. Ever think of spanning 3 generations and including your Dad and son in a video? I'd even pay double, no, no, TRIPLE! the admission to watch!
It doesn't matter what a person makes with their father, it is the time spent. I like the look of this a lot. Great video as always!
Hi Steve. Very nice to see you with your Dad! Please treasure the time you have with him.
I hope I could hit the like many more times for this particular video. Enjoy the most of the time you can spend with your dad, not many of us have that blessing.
Excellent video. Happy you had to spend some quality time with your dad, He looks like a great man. All my respect Mr. Ramsey.
I'm glad that you and your dad were able to have some fun together. I hope this is the first of many.
Great Video! It doesn't matter how simple the project is what makes it special is building stuff with family members help. Makes it feel extra special for lack of a better word lol
Once again, always a joy to watch. Hope your Dad had fun.
its great that your Dad is around to have fun with you in the shop. Glad you guys have fun together.
Man not only a great project.. But definitely a very memorable moment in time. It is great that you and your dad were able to do this together!
Great stuff you can't spend to much time with your dad enjoy and guard that time in your heart.
Great video and thank your Dad for raising a great Kid.
Any project that you make with your Dad is always extra special. Great picture frame!!
Hi Dad! There is nothing better than doing some woodworking with your Dad.
Wonderful video. I'm glad you had a chance to spend some quality time with your dad.
Hey Dad, you raised him right. Stay safe guys.
Good memories that will last a life time. I like the idea of matching the frame to the contents!
Who would possibly hit the "dislike" button? Guess it's still true that you can't please everybody. This may be one of the best videos, Steve, simply for the multigenerational aspect of woodworking. Sometimes it's the woodglue that is the glue of the family :-). Hmmmm.....i think that was worded differently in my head.
We used to do those sorts of things together, my dad and I. He is gone now, and your video hit home. I got to reminsce abit and thats always a good thing. Anyway. I see where you get your humor from. I think this just might be one of your best videos. I think I'll make one myself tomorrow and put an old black n white of my dad and in it. Thanks. As always great video.
Always enjoy your videos and even atempt to build some of the projects. Good to spend time with dad in the shop. Mine's been gone for nearly 40 years now. I do get to work in the shop with my step-dad from time to time. Always a good time.
you know, these pallet projects are great! There's a lady that wants me to make some stuff for her and its the perfect project to use up all the spare nails I have. Maybe i'll make this to go along with it!
Steve I just want you to know that your channel is my New Yankee Workshop.
Cool video, actually cried for the first time in years. Time goes by so fast.
Old guys rule. Nice to see your dad in another vid.
Steve i think that is the second time i have seen your DAD. You need to do more videos with him. Stay close to him because you only have ONE DAD. I loved the video make more like this one.
Excellent! More videos with Dad, please! Even if he's 1000 mi away, get him a webcam or an iPad, Steve and include him more! (his mannerisms remind me of my dad who passed away several years ago). No need to cut you slack on this video, it was great.
great vid Steve and now you've got another momento of you and your dad.
Very special video Steve! I wish my dad was still around so I could make a video with him. Most of the tools I have were his and I probably would not have started making videos without them. So it's kind of like he's with me in all my videos in a way. Thanks for sharing!
My best woodworking memories are of making things with my Dad.
its nice to see a dad and lad project on here lol
Wow your dad looks young enough to be your brother!!!! WTG Dad!!!
Si, yo tmb pensé que era su hermano 🎵
it's sweet working with your old man
A very "SPECIAL" project Steve!
Maybe next time make a vid with you, your son and dad! It would be like the Ramsey Dynasty!
Nice quickie and spend more time with dad to boot.
Having your Dad included in this weeks project is very cool. I wish my Dad was still around to be in one of mine. Great job guys!
Family is the most important thing that you have. Always enjoy the time you have together.
What ever happened to "Handy Woodworking Tiptime"?
Steve great video, you can enjoy it forever
Nothing like working with your dad on a project!
Liked seeing you doing a project with your dad :-)
This is and oldie but goodie Steve. It's always nice to be with family. Nice frame...I actually love the twine look you put on there. Thanks for sharing!
Nice vid and it's plain to see that the apple didn't fall far from the tree. You obviously get your humor from your dad! Enjoy your time with him while you can!
Hi Dad,
Nice to see you on this channel
Great to meet your Dad! :)
To cool my dad helped me reorganise my garage today. Was great, he acted mostly in an advisory capacity though... Great video.
I have only recently stumbled on your channel and find it very informative, but in South Africa, I have problems with your measuring standard, thank goodness for unit converters, good job, learning a lot.
Well, the nut doesn't fall far from the tree....does it! Great family of jokers, Steve!
Great video!. Another thing you can make with those pallets is landscape short fences... cheers
Aw this was really sweet. It makes me miss my dad a lot. We never got to work on anything together :/
Al fin! Al fin! Al fin! Al fin!
At Last!
Graaaaaciassssss!!!!!!
I Love so much, Gringuitos!! Blessings.
Thanks Beautiful Dad, thanks Beauty Mr. Son Jr.
Save My life 🎶🌷 💕 🐦
Enjoy your time with him while you can.
Great to see you spending time with your dad on a project. My dad has no interest in woodworking. Could you have your dad spend time with me on a woodworking project? I will put his picture in the frame when we are done.
awww. this made me sad, and happy. glad you shared this moment with the world.
Next project, a log cabin in the woods or boat house to put the frame in, very rustic i like it.
Love working with my dad too.
LOVE these pallet wood projects!
Love these rustic projects
Greetings to your Dad!
Great video, Steve!
Well done, Ramsey family!!!
Cool project Steve!
Steve you got a great personality and your projects are awesome. Is there other woodworking channels similar to yours
old people are sooo funny i love em
Healthy dad was drinking coffee instead of beer. Nice little project too.
Jeeze, I wish my dad was still around. But now I'm a dad to 2 grown men, and I hope they'll put me their 3-D Holograms in the future.
Dad Ramsey isn't onscreen for 4 seconds before he makes me laugh. I like him. 😊
Hehe the fruit doesn't fall far from the tree! love the 3 1/2 fingers lol 8-)
Good to see your dad in the video Steve you's guys did a great job. Haven't been able to be in the shop with my dad for 13 years now, enjoy the time while ya can ..
5*****
He's a pretty neat old guy Steve!
Hi Dad!!! Great job.
Your dad seems awesome!
If you even reused the pallet's nails...that's awesome!
awesome, building it with your father, awesome...
Great Dad! God blase you and your Dad
Hey Steve - dump the pallets, and make something with some nice bits of wood :-)
Have appreciated the last few project though
Also nice to see your dad in the workshop with you
I love the music in this video!
Fantastic Steve! :)
Just started plowing through your playlists. Truly inspirational stuff for a guy who wants to setup a small woodworking-corner in a crammed storage. Planning on making a simple portable table saw / router table / "band-saw"-table so that I feel like I have the tools to do... well, straight and even woodworking.... If Wife & daughter allows me to spend any time in there, that is. Thanks again. :)
What a fantastic video.
Same here, fellow aspiring hobbyist. :)
I have minimal space for woodworking, so I'm planning on creating a portable table that will be a table saw / router table / "band saw" table...
Steve ¡Good video! saludos desde mexico.
love your safety shoes :)
great video i love doing anything with my pops
That was awesome. Thanks for sharing.
Great video, my only thought is that you should put a picture of you and your dad from his visit in the frame.
Nice project!
It's weird. I don't woodwork. I have no plans to partake in woodworking in the near future (although I did get the highest grade in my middle school workshop class)
But regardless of that I just genuinely enjoy this dudes videos and watch almost all of them.
Good video....miss my dad
I LIKE RUSTIC PICTURE FRAME IDEA THE MOST ..HAVE WATCHED IT DOZENS OF T IMES OVER THE YEARS...I MAKE 5X7 AND 8X10 ...MAKES GREAT GIFTS...
Thank you Thank you Thank you!! This is absolutely perfect for a project I'm working on.
I did. Pre-rusted!
With all seriousness aside..I remember your old man as a very fair man, even after you threw that bottle of flaming Acetone to try and burn down the garage...I mostly remember his pipe rotisserie next to his favorite old chair waiting for M.A.S.H. to come one. Good people.
Danny, my boy!
Excelente video, me habría encantado que participara también tu muchacho y ver a tres generaciones de Ramsey's a cuadro. Saludos desde la Baja!!!
Excellent video, It would have been great for your boy to participate also and to watch three generations of Ramsey's in frame. Greetings from Baja!!!
Love your Dad's "three fingered salute"
LOVE IT! Thanks for sharing.
Steve, so sorry about your dad's finger loss; perhaps a chance for a new video ?
Making Dad a new wood finger - - for Christmas ?

Also, get junior in there with grandpa, don't miss the trifecta opportunity !
thanks.
i lost my dad when i was 21 i wish all the time he was still alive. he died from the same disease that's killing its polycystic kidney disease he was the oldest living out of the family that had it all died before 50 he lived right to 50 im 49 scary im in the hospital a lot never seam to get a break. the reason i started woodworking is the fact i cant no longer work and this sure keeps me busy i watch all your vidieos and keep hoping for more thanks Steve Ramsey

This is the greatest video you have. and it's not because of the unique picture frame.
