I have jumped between AMD & Nvidia over the past 20 years based on what is the best product on the whole. The XTX with RT, FSR & FMF is VERY capable and trades blows with the 4080S under the same conditions.
@ facts, it obviously doesn’t match the 4080s when it comes to RT but it’s close to the 3090 which is no slouch, then if you turn AFMF you duplicate your FPS and even though they’re not *Real FPS* it does make the game feel smoother.
@Randy1124pr The 4080S runs out of vram at anything above High 1440p UW w/ RT. The XTX simply doesn't. Both cards need DLSS/FSR + FG to get high FPS under those conditions. Granted DLSS is a superior technology visually, but when all technologies are employed above 1440p UW the XTX wins and I would argue most people with XTX/80S/90 do play that way. RT is a non-issue until there is less than 10% loss in FPS when employing the tech. The overwhelming majority of gamers would rather 30% more FPS and no RT. I know I prefer Native 5120x1440 High+ settings and FMF for my 120-150 FPS gaming.

and for future it has 24 gb vram
@smeagolgolum1107 yes ram is important but important for me Dlss and rtx however stability : Nvidia i never time problem with Nvidia but i have more problem with AMD. So i cant never buy next time AMD. CPU is %100 AMD but GPU never..
When time comes where 24 gb of vram matter both of the cards will become obsolete. You will need to upgrade with this type of game optimisation we have nowadays. Both cards already can struggle in certain games
@@smeiss98d
To what extent is the card outdated? 24 VRAM is 24 GB VRAM. To have it or not to have it....
@@smeagolgolum1107 You won't use the card long enough to EVER need close to 24 GB VRAM. Never ever.
rx 7900 xtx will age better! It will probably achieve the same performance as the 4090
it wont
gddr6x>gddr6
No because Raster is DEAD. Future games will all be ray traced.
@@AmigoAmigo-w5pcan you tell the difference? Nooo you can try if you want
Ya but it will take another generation after rtx5000s and rx 8000
@@Cyberpunk2077-j3f yes be prepared for Unreal 5.5 where RT will be a normal thing :)
just get a 4090 problem solved
Now do ray tracing max...
@@crassusmaximus5879 Exactly. Raw performance amd comes out on top but where Ray tracing is concerned that's where nvidia brings the ball back in their court
@@lukebell476 thats great and all but this kind of reasoning allows the company to be lazy, the 8000 series has been rumored to have major leaps in RT because of the exact argument your stating, and so far we havnt heard anything about nividia besides that the 5080 has 16GB of vram again. only problem is that amd has stated they arnt doing high end gpus which means at the very least there is no 8900xtx and maybe even 8900xt.
AMD needs much more Power for Just a few FPS more
sky high price
Means nothing when you factor in Raytracing. Anyone who wants to argue can ask themselves why AMD's next lineup is pushing for even more raytracing and almost every game either has it or is pushing for it. Only an idiot would disregard raytracing.
AMD likes to shoot themselves in the foot when it comes to GPU's, always behind. Awesome CPU's tho!
why ignore price, raster performance and vram? Raytracing is nice and all, but icing on the cake.
In every poll ever done Ray tracing is an afterthought it's a novelty nobody buys a GPU because of Ray tracing and in most games you can't even notice it I want performance from my GPU all that other stuff it's okay
@@kingtuckgesus8879 Plenty of people buy GPUs for ray tracing.
$$?
The comparison is to cards in the same price range, not the ambiguous "top model" category lol
@@joeb1009 Englisch
You can just sugarcoat anything if you want. Irrefutable fact: it is the top model, so I can only compare it with other top models. I'm interested in performance, not price. If I were interested in the price, I would buy a PS5. much cheaper than a gaming pc.
И тут включили DLSS качество и лучи ахаха
So amd is around 25% more inefficient when it comes to vram usage in games compared to nvidia. Interesting stuff... This means 4080 vram size is equivalent to an amd gpu with about 20gb vram in games.
@@specialist9404 games on AMD use more VRAM because there's more VRAM budget it has nothing to do with efficiency
More Vram - more Vram ussage - less stutters :)
Amd is the best
The 5090 will be faulty and lack luster. Ill skip a generation.
yeah i want a 6090 just cause..😂😂
@turboimport95 I usually skip one generation. Sometimes I dont if its worth it. This generation is evidently not. Ill stick with my 4090.
Turn on ray tracing, and xtx became is piece of shit
I dont know man, I get 110fps on CP2077 using Psycho Overdrive presets with Path Tracing turned off. Game runs smooth and look stunning on my XTX. 3440x1440 resolution
@@Randy1124pr Exactly!
My XTX at 5120x1440 does fantastic with FMF when above 60fps native!
People need to get out of their fanboy bubbles and take a serious look at all options.
