I can relate to running to the ER thinking a heart attack or some imminent danger...then relief once speaking to the doctor and then shame after while leaving...thinking it my head that I not only let myself down again but also my family...It has taken me saying you know what-screw it- whatever happens in the future will happen I cannot continue to with the time I have left like this.

You will need to look at exactly why you are so scared of it and break it down.

I’ve been struggling with this for years now and was wrongly diagnosed with health anxiety! it’s really hard! I finally got diagnosed with ocd this year and got in with an ocd specialist today

Rob, did you experience having "clarity moments" once a theme would latch?
I hear almost everyone experiences "the truth" under their OCD, but I don't- once its latched, it feels like the utter truth until I fully accept.
    Thanks always!🙏

Hey Nicole! What we usually notice is until one develops a stronger level of acceptance it tends to simmer in the background.

My health fear is developing schizophrenia. I had accepted this fear and finally got to a place of acceptance and was doing well. Recently, the fear morphed to my wife developing schizophrenia and I feel 10x worse now constantly checking to see if she is displaying symptoms of the disorder. Any tips when dealing with the fear of a loved one developing a disorder I fear ?

yep same, i deal with schizophrenic ocd as well. my brain is convincing me my creativity is schizophrenic and that say characters i come up with as an author will “tell me things” and “tell me what to do” yep it s a very weird one

Those are common areas where anxiety activates tension in the muscles.
