I hope some who voted Biden may realize a need for change that will bring them better days ahead, hope is a good thing ,but it needs to be actionable, there does seem to be a thread of hope weaved into many comments for the greater good of America and the will to make it so. My children worked in high school and bought their own car. They got student loans for higher education, and they worked to pay them off. Took my son 15 years to pay his off. He has parents who didnt coddle him and his sister. They had rules to abide by and knew if they didnt they paid the consequences. Today my kids are productive hard working adults making their own way. Maybe if more parents did this instead of giving their kids evetything under the sun, and making them take responsibilty for their actions they would be better human beings.
My parents brought me up to respect my own abilities. I paid off the cost of my college education before I finished college. I had a job and the GI bill.

My dad was a well respected teacher, but the parents most of all. He protested with the parents against the board. He told all the nutty left faculty, to stay away from him and to lose his #. These people went from being close faculty friend to become dad's total enemies. My dad said he'd do it again
