Moral relativism puts ideology above and the source of what is good and right. But as moral objectivists realize in a world of moral relativism ideologies cannot themselves be correctly judged as good and right.
It's why there is so much moral confusion today. Moral relativists want it both ways - no judging as wrong what their ideology declares while judging as wrong what their ideology opposes. Moral relativism denies the rightness and wrongness of everything - even itself.
It's the long march through the institutions. I too am amazed. If you had told me even 20 years ago that these idiots would take over our educational system, our corporate HR departments, and many city and state governments including my own (CA) I never would have believed it. But here we are.

According to history, the Greatest Generation sent their nice normal American kids to college, where they were indoctrinated by left-wing college professors. Smart parents will encourage their kids to go to trade school. Plumbers, electricians, carpenters, bricklayers, millwrights, mechanics, and so on, are too smart, and too busy working and being productive to get involved in this nonsense.
In my childhood suburban home town there's a now third generation plumbing company that dominates the local trade. I knew some of the third generation. All went to college except for one who went to work with dad and uncles out of high school. The others kind of looked down on him as it's the kind of town where kids obssess over SATs and where so and so got in. Well I drive by his house on the way to mom's. New powerboat for the summer, big F350 to pull it. Took the family to Mexico for Easter; guess who the others go to if they're a little short this month.
This too shall pass, and what a waste of money.

As a kid my dream was to go to Fordham. I am so happy and grateful I saved my time and money. I study the classics on my own and am learning Latin and Greek. I hope to help others though the classics, not through pointless, misplaced resentment and hatred. The ignorance of these children is astounding. Their ignorance and their empathy is being used against them and then that is weaponized against the west. I am sure our enemies around the world are watching closely as we devolve into insanity and chaos. There is an old quote from Russian politician I believe that says they the America or the west will not be destroyed from without, but from within. I see much truth to his sentiment. Having read in depth about the failed, insane, murderous Russian and French revolutions I am not fooled by this utter nonsense.

I live in a blue state. The president of this university locked all doors. The kids could access classes with passkeys. The protest was contained. It is in a blue city. It is the university, not the state or the fity that is the problem.
I knew zero professors like this in undergrad or grad classes.
The first black students take on getting out of jail in 24 hours is very telling. Wise people have been saying for a while now that when you let criminals off easy it infects the rest of society. The Bible proclaimed this almost 3000 years ago saying “ because punishment for an evil deed does not quickly come to bear, the hearts of the people are fully set to do evil.”
