@@jaad9848That’s not how startup valuation works. Replit received $97.4M in a Series B funding recently. The funders asked for a percentage of the company, so the entire company is valued at what the funding is divided by the percentage of ownership.

Tbf, the linear algebra needed for real engineers working in AI is something that can be learned in Bangalore or Kigali. SF is not worth the still outrageous rents, and wfh tech allows talent to be sourced from anywhere. The issue is that the 700 or so VCs here with their billions are the only reason to be in the area. There's still no way to get down on your knees and wipe your chin remotely.

Foster City is about as dull and soul crushing as you can get. I hate having to go there for Costco. I think it's about lower rent/taxes
FC is not that bad. They have a Farmers Market on Saturdays, Off the Grid Food Trucks on Wednesday, and sometimes free concerts on Fridays. And has one of the busiest pickleball courts in the bay area.
