Actually it was pretty common in the 90ies and 2000s that some rappers appeared on only a few features and then completely disappeared. A lot of times it was just some dude that was known in the local neighborhood, person that got signed and things didn't work out, etc.A great example is Deda, who recorded 2 tracks as a feature in 92 and 94 with Pete Rock and CL Smooth. He was as feature on another track in 96 with Saddat X that was it. In 2003 Pete Rock released a full album of him that was recorded in 1995, but wasn't released back then due to some dispute with the label. Since Inetnet, Scoial Media and recording music in general wasn't as easy and accessible as it is today, a lot of artists just became invincible if things went south.
