I built a carp fishing lake in my back garden. And now I have built a luxury 5* glamping pod from a kit building.

In a couple of years with some trees dotted about and once all signs of construction have grown in, the character of the place will really start to develop. you are livin' the dream I always wanted a pond like this! but one big difference I would stock it on my ownsome by fishing first netting anything and everything small plants. micro-life, small fry in spring, smaller freshwater fish like sticklebacks, getting the shore planted, planting lilypads, adding feeder fish by mass catching them by any means possible and letting them spawn and proliferate for about a year or two then the monsters come in tench, carbs, barbels, and last perch, pike, and, sanders and the ecosystem would be done! and you would just need to add koi over the years they just add that wow! part to the pond.

Wanted to wonder out loud though if you could have a removable ramp from the wheelchair jetty to allow access to the gravel. It’s not nice having to be separated like that, and could increase the bookings :)

To be honest, I’m not a fisherman so I don’t know how much people actually hang out by the water, I just had an image in my mind of everyone around the fire pit on the gravel all evening and the wheelchair being seperate.
This is a tiny thing/suggestion though, you’ve already thought about it a lot and I want to be super clear that I’m in no way criticising :)

I’m sure u have considered this, small led lights on the surround and step of the swim. Nighttime rushing for Rod and tripping etc. keep up the dream brother 💪

With bifold doors I'd suggest not using vinyl click flooring as it lifts in heat from direct sunlight.

12:00 fair play bro, you should just take that step away and have a slope so wheelchair users can get down to the lower bit, the bigger space would be much easier to move the wheelchair around and for a their helper to sit next to them

Come to the area i live and have a look at the buildings and extensions a lot of asians have built in their gardens then you’d understand, they certainly didn’t get planning permission and definitely didn’t get building regulations pass, infact with the looks of most of them they didn’t even get a drawing, starting to look like shanty town

This isnt my sort of lake as i like larger more challenging venues. That said, theres definitely a place for glamping and Jacuzzi carp fishing venues.
A pal of mine has Mill Lodge retreat in Essex and i went in autumn, rods out, sat in the Jacuzzi with the missus and a bottle of fizz. I didn't catch much, but my mates a few swims along heard alot of splashing 😉
Next time your missus asks why you want for you birthday try one of these places, as Nick Hellieur would say 'lovely times'.

$20k for just the permits to build the lake? That's highway robbery. These middlemen got some nerve. Not only do you have to ask them permission to build on your own property, but you also have to pay them. shm

never listen to so-called experts who say something is impossible!! the thing is that in most cases they regurgitate the knowledge they got from their teachers who themselves got it from their teachers non of whomever thought of actually real-life test it!
for me, the thing I wanted to know was can you record sound into clay using a pottery wheel the answer from experts was a resounding NO! So, what I did was I made clay cylinders on the wheel and left them there to slow dry for a few days under a damp cloth that made the clay sturdy but workable then I took a 1910 pathé reproducer I attached a jet oxygen mask with the tube attached to the reproducer and the mask on my face I slowed down the wheel to about 80 rpm and I pushed the reproducers sapphire into the clay and I moved it upwards while spinning all the while I was shouting mary had a little lamb into my mask and, I got modulation!! and an uninterrupted spiral!! I had no clue how to play this back but, I didn't need to, Getting sound modulations was enough to prove that yes!! you can record onto clay using a pottery wheel, pathé used vertical modulation up-down movement in their recordings and that's easy to record onto clay you are just denting in the clay in a cylindrical spiral groove.
