Nice save. Yes it's funny how that short on PPVIN_5VUSBC01_ISNS (two caps above UF800) was cleared after you replaced the three caps on the PPBUS_AON_SPKRAMP_ABC_ISNS line? Possibly the cleaning in that area did the trick, it can happen. It never ceases to amaze me how filthy people let their LCD screens get, especially on a $3000-4000 AUD laptop like this A2442. I would be ashamed to take anything for repair that was as gross as that screen. Eeeek 🤮 Also nice to see you using Paul Daniels Flex Board View, some good Aussie software.

Thanks for your keen observation and comment! You're absolutely right about the short on PPVIN_5VUSBC01_ISNS. It's always interesting to see how resolving one issue can impact another area in these complex systems. In this case, addressing the caps on the PPBUS_AON_SPKRAMP_ABC_ISNS line seemed to do the trick. It goes to show how a thorough approach can unexpectedly solve multiple problems.
Regarding the screen issue you mentioned, especially for Apple's A2442 model, you've hit on a very pertinent point. The unique design of Apple products, with specialised components like the chip in the screen assembly that interacts directly with the main logic board, certainly makes repairs more challenging. This design choice not only affects the repairability but also limits the options for those seeking non-Apple repair services due to the proprietary nature of these components. It's a significant factor for consumers to consider, given the high cost of these devices.
At our repair service, we're continuously looking into innovative ways to tackle these challenges, aiming to provide more economical and efficient solutions for our clients. It’s part of our commitment to staying at the forefront of repair technology and offering the best service possible, despite the hurdles set by manufacturers.
Also, I'm glad you noticed our use of Paul Daniels' Flex Board View software. It's indeed a fantastic tool that greatly assists in navigating these intricate repair processes.
Thanks again for watching, sharing your thoughts, and being part of the conversation. Your insights contribute greatly to our community's knowledge and adaptability.

Can i boot into using only the logic board and external display . No battery, keyboard , touchpad, display . Only with the logic board and external display will it turn on ?

A2442 will not boot from USBC port unless battery is connected. It will boot with no battery if you use Magsafe 3 charger though
