Good for your friend. It is smart to buy and own land. He can plant his food. He could fix up the shed and stay in there while he is working. Your a good friend to help him Dan.
@@judy-dr4de "you're", contraction for you are.
I’m saying this before seeing much of the video, BUT if I could trade a phone for some land, I’d do it every chance I got.
Me too! 😊
Exactly!
Right
Id trade a lot in this modern age for some simple rural land
@@randomuser4310
Lord, yes
Dan, You are so kind to provide us in the US with the way you live and enjoy your life in Russia. I wish my Russian was as good as your English! We all appreciate you.
I wish we could
D all speak the same no matter the language so we can be closer and support each other. To share love and kindness. However the folks in Bable messed that up when God confused our language.
The friend is smart to buy land where he can grow food and be away from the crazy masses of people. Who knows what is coming. Times are uncertain for us all. God bless you and your beautiful Family and Friends.
Definitely has some potential. Congratulations to him on his purchase.
😂😂😂Great assessment Dan, "this is not a house, this is a problem"!
Tell your friend. Congratulations! He has a lot of work but he will do great things with it.
Your friend has done very good because he has many fruit trees saving many years and experience waiting for trees to grow
*I don't know what kind of phone he had, but we can NOT purchase land in the United States for the price of a phone!! Land is ALWAYS better than a phone!!! Imho*
Land is everything.
@@cw6621 *ABSO-FREAKIN-LUTELY!!!*
Just like medieval times, we are all serfs living and renting lands from the rich. 😮 we work to survive
Russia is a developing nation. You can buy land for cheap in the third world.
That must have been a satellite phone 😂
This is my kind of place to live! Close enough to a city for supplies but deep in the forest where people aren't going to mess with me. 😊
Me too I like it 😉
Solitude... 🤗
Will your friend make a you tube channel on his clearing and fixing up the property?
It could help him with money by people watching and donating to him.
That's a great idea! I'd subscribe and support!
Man $5,000 can't get land in the states. He got lucky. Congratulations to your friend.
Not listed land but, try land auctions. Might be suprised.
Russia is biggest country in the world but only 1/3 of the population of USA. I bet there's a lot of unused "jungle" out there you can just buy up and build your Dacha
@@mattj5492 exactly
Slang we say. Living out in the boonies
Off the beaten path also works lol
Off grid
Lots of slang options: Out yonder means far away. Hinterland
Suberbs is where I live
It's how I felt when we moved from Pico Rivera to the town of Whittier in the 60s. Undeveloped passed the Quad. The land for the Whittwood Mall was barely being cleared. Lol I cried as a nine year old moving to the boonies. 😂😂😂
In the US we would call this “rural”, meaning in the countryside instead of in town.
true
That's what we'd call it in Australia too. Although outskirts works too if it's closer to the city.
@@FredPilcher Same in the US. 🙂
Depending on how far from the city I guess. For instance, I live in what's called "deep country" or "the boondocks" here in Virginia. 😍
Yes, rural country side, or farm land.
Thank you Dan for giving us a glimpse into the Russian Countryside. I did enjoy this video very much and it was very nice that we got to see some of your friends.
There are some of us that love to take a dilapidated property and turn into something beautiful. Congrats to your friend! Hello from Chicago1
Hello from Peoria
He has much work to do. It is worth it!!! He is young and will make something of this property. Congratulations!
You have to figure out how much you will spend for demolition and clearing of the crap and materials to rebuild. You just cants say such stupid stuff without knowing if you are going to lose money. You sound like a renter...not an owner. It gets expensive...more than if you started on an empty lot. I bought a plot of land for 100 dollars in Sayre, OK. I could not build on it because I found out it had and underground house....with no idea how that happened or how long ago.....way to expensive...so moved back to az.
Here we call the edge of town the “ outskirts of town”.
Thx ! Where do you live?
@@TheSheekozFamilyI live in Kentucky, USA.
@@pookienose3 So do I.
@@TheSheekozFamily..the outskirts of a town is just the area close around the town only. However, further out is called "rural." Hope that helps. ❤✌️🇵🇱🇨🇦
@@danutat9915 a rural area is also called the "countryside".
That breadbox is awesome! Don't throw that away!
Goats are needed to eat down all the grass and bushes. Looks like a wonderful project and such a beautiful area!!!
suburb I think, He could start a channel showing his renovation at the Dacha.
yup thst eould be interesting... the ups and down
Would pay for him living and working there. Watch couple building in Siberia and Australians building a farm, and Canadians working toward getting their life rebuilt also. Countryside acres, has family of 10 that moved to Russia from Canada. Your video was from when you first started wanting to speak English. So proud of your family and Sati.
What a beautiful day! In Australia we'd call that a "Fixer-upper". 🙂 And you'd have to sell a LOT of phones to buy that land.
True...depending hoe far you are from any town / access to services, you'd Still pay a sh*tload more than $ 40,000😢
The country areas (rural areas) are absolutely beautiful, and they have wells on them - huge bonus!
I'm glad you're teaching your daughter to be multilingual
Seems I hear her using English without prompts from Mom and Dad, sometimes?
Sold his phone and bought land 😮…. I would have to sell a LOT more than my phone to buy land ….
Detroit you can buy 5 houses for a Iphone.
😂😂😂😂😂😂@@bullbutter9699
He gave his phone back after Suzy called him on that sold phone.
I was thinking the same. I don't even have a good enough phone to sell. Land is so much more than anything I own, or I'd have some land.
I took it to mean he sold his phone as a way to go at least partially off grid along with buying the land out in the country. Not necessarily that the phone paid for the land.
Hi DAN, as always thanks for showing your beautiful motherland Russia
😉
Everyone is saying boondocks, sticks, rural, countryside, etc. Round here, we call it "home" 💞
Dan, you know a lot about many things. Smart guy.
Dan, I think he needs more friends.
Salvage what you can from the house and tear it down. Must have been some kind of phone your friend had. Beautiful countryside.
:-) " It's not a house, it's a problem"
Loved your comment on famous people, “All these people served the satan.” 👍
Roger that, bigtime.
Yes, sold their soul to Satan.
Dan, I live in the united states.I love you and your family.I think you guys are awesome
Your friend has a lot of work to do! You're a good friend to help him😊
It looks all old and abandoned, but there is still an amazon package wrapper in the ruins. Amazing
Maybe the seller, or Ilya placed it there?
Dan’s drive out here literally looks like many of my Amazon routes! 😑
Your friend should start his own TH-cam channel to document his progress on the property! I would watch it 😊👍
I most definitely would be interested in watching the progress for a dilapidated falling apart dump like this to a living modern family home.
Please encourage him to do as I'm positive that he would get both encouragement advice and perhaps some revenue from you tube to help with the reconstruction of a modern homestead building there too
Well done to your friend he has a lot iWork ahead of him in days to come but remind him of what the outcome will be.
Please do keep us up date on his progress
And for your friend.
Please do make yourself and changes available for us to see a d to encourage you when days get hard.
Every blessing possible wished for you from a 're friend in Bonnie Scotland
Quite a lot of territory for so little money! Congratulate your friend for me. I'm glad he's young and has lots of energy! He certainly has a lot of work in front of him! Beautiful piece of land by the way!
I was surprised to see you using a Stihl Chainsaw.
That's known as the best chainsaw in the US.
He is fairly wealthy amount most Russians.
Yes, also in Australia.
I was surprised also 👍
So, a dasha was a summer homestead. But now people live there and homestead full time. I love this! I’m happy for your friend!
I can’t believe how big Sati is. She is so sweet and smart. ❤
Yes the word outskirts works for what you’re describing.
Or suburbs?
Yes... Outskirts
I was coming to say that. Outskirts are of the city. Suburbs are towns in the outskirts of the city.
@@pestilentruth2164 More like exurbs. Suburbs are much more developed.
Your English is amazing, you get better everyday.I enjoy all your videos and all your family, thanks for sharing
All your friend needs is time, strength and some money
i agree with you Dan. Demolish the house and rebuild from the ground up. Not only will it be more modern utilities, but it will be easier to keep clean.
I don't know the cost of lumber and building supplies in Russia but if it's anything like the US I would say it might be cheaper to fix up the old buildings. And you also won't have to deal with all the backbreaking work and expense of demolition.
@@percyhawkins716 I agree Percy. It seems that because Dan's friend picked up these properties for, what seems to us, pennies, I was hoping that building supplies would be more reasonable. Dan would be the man to know which undertaking would be cheapest. Take care.
The word you’re looking for “rural”. Your friend lives in a rule area, which is outside of city limits.. In America, we say they live out in the “country” Which is the same as they live in a rural area
City, then suburbs, then rural.
Then "To Hell and Gone."
@@percyhawkins716 😂 😆 thank you for making my morning great!!!! Seriously I needed this!!
I hope your day is wonderful!
He's going to need more friends😇
I would love to find a simple Russian man like you Dan. My life would be so calm.
No problem. We have a lot of this
We call that the "Boondocks."
Boonies 😅
Describes it perfectly.
Seems like a "Russian dacha" would be what I would call a "gentleman's farm" here in the USA. Outskirts works, as would borderlands, periphery, or rural/outlying districts. Thanks for showing how similar we are rather than our differences. Always enjoy watching, thanks Dan! Looking forward to welcoming your child into the world soon too!
Hello from North Carolina, I have been watching you for years when you first started to learn English and I was so proud and so impressed with you. I have watched your family grow and been so happy to see what a good father and mother you both are. You are truly adorable and may God bless you with all that is good for all the days of your life. Give the beautiful baby girl a hug and a kiss on the cheek from me. I hope that one day we get a better president in the United States and all the war will stop I wish for you and your family to visit us here in the United States and it will happen soon because I have faith ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Roger that, especially the better prez.👍
USA politics need time to recover for good 💐
Why don’t you going in Russia? Me too I wish going to Russia also , currently I’m living Middle East ! 😊
What do you think ?
The little one saying buy buy always makes me smile.
She's beautiful.
$10,000-$20,000 an acre around us. For just empty land. Some way more. That’s a lot of phones😊
The house I am renting just sold for 7.2 million it is on 1 acre of land. The house itself is a teardown and the land will be redeveloped in the next few years.😂😂... I would like to see the phone that could buy that here.
Yeah, in Phoenix, that kind of undeveloped land, it’s gonna cost you anywhere from 20 grand to 200 grand for a half acre
what in the actual fuck... 10-20k? holy mother of god...
10 iPhones = $10,000
10 iPhones = $10,000
I remember your friend Ilya. You climbed the mountain with him. And there was another time when you went outside the city one day -- I think it was in the morning. I don't remember what the purpose of that venture was. I'm not sure, but I think we watched the sun come up that morning. You're a good friend, Dan, and Ilya looks like a good friend, too. You are a blessed man. Ilya has a lot of hard work ahead of him, but when you own the land, it is rewarding. He has some sweet-sounding birds on his land. Sati is camera shy today. Say hi to Susie. P.S. I think "outskirts" was a good choice -- outskirts of town.
What a great pc of land He already has water And good soil Still has his youth Perfect start to a homestead Congratulations
Dan, God bless you and your family! Congratulations to your friend on his new land may God bless him and may his land yield for him his needs.
Love those old brick buildings!
I appreciate that you use your turn signals (indicators?) every time, even if no one’s around. It’s just a good habit, I have it, that many people need to learn, especially on the freeways of LA!!! 😅
That was an amazing video. Thank you for sharing dan you are a great friend and wonderful dad to your beautiful daughter ❤️
💐
If nothing else, you could use the class and the window frames for making what you call cold beds for vegetables to start growing in in the early spring!!
That ceiling light is pretty cool. That is in the room where the bed is he should save that!
The birds really like it there! They are singing, beautiful songs!
Children having a love of books provides an opportunity for a better life.
that is a nice property, needs some TLC (tender loving care) i LOVE THE WOODEN BREAD BOX. ii hope you will show us this property again.. I think it will be very interesting to see it again xox best wishes from Nova Scotia, Canada
I love that original wooden Soviet bread box too! Ship to Australia?😂
I've been missing you and your family, I fell and broke my back. I watching this video now. Hug and kiss from my girl an d I to you and yours!
Oh my, prayers for you, in JESUS NAME!
Geeez, so sorry that happened!😞❤️🐝
Love to you Dan and family ❤
This is exactly how it feels in the rural areas of America! Especially in the south with all the woods and dirt roads with shacks everywhere.
Your friend has a lot of work ahead of him but at least he can plant some food this year and harvest some fruit👍🏼. He got good deals on the land, they will be worth a lot more eventually.
Be safe and well, take care of Mama Suzi , not so long to go now. 🥰🙋🏼♀️
Who is responsible for tending the roads? I imagine it gets pretty difficult during the winter.
that is why that land is so cheap. Most probably it is for summer usage only. However on some dachas people prefer to live in a winter - so they combine together to hire a snow cleaner after each snow to clean the road.
Goverment has no responsibility for dacha type of land and it makes it so cheap.
Village land plot usually much expensive, because goverment has to build roads and all other infrastructure.
That would be a cool video series of you helping him fix up his home ! Like to see what it looks like when it's finished. Great vid and Blessings to you and yours!
I would have sold my phone to for property...Long ago my Husband (then) & I accumulated 8 homes that we rented out ..Mind you he was a carpenter and could build remodel & repair...that was long ago...I can't believe what your friend paid for his property...
I live way out in the Mtns....a couple of years ago I bought a brick house with 24 acres, well water, springs, Creek and a larger creek/river...I love the cool mountain breezes...As you were talking I was in my garden planting my tomatoes that I started from seed...
Sun is setting now orange/rose sky ..
I need to put up my chickens....I have a lot of wild animals here....wolves, coyotes, bears, bobcats & MTN Lions (and yes I have seen a mountain Lion...when you have deer too...they follow them..
Always good to see & hear about Russia...I went there in 1997 & adopted my blue eyed blonde baby girl (9 mths old)...
Take care my Ruskie friend 😁
Everything is lovely and green there
Great choice 👌
More power to your friend. 🎉
Love watching your videos - ❤ from Canada
The sounds of the birds are just beautiful!!❤😂
When you leave the city and go to your friends house he lives in the boonies ,or in the sticks words we use in the us 😊
In the US, this would be called a Fixer Upper. Good luck, you have a good project ahead of you.
Maybe get two goats to clear the land & you get milk/cheese etc..
The land looks great, nice & fertile.. good for fruit trees & vegetables.
Here in New Zealand it looks very much the same, we'd turn open side shipping containers connected side by side to make a home with glass where the doors were & we'd use ground screws for piles/footings.. rain water/waste tanks & go solar.
Here in NZ that piece of land you'd be paying at least $200,000 - 300,000 nz
Congratulations to your friend👏 what a price, that's so unheard of in the states 😅 absolutely love your awakness in regards to the magazines.... such evil has surrounded us!😡 blessings and love from Cali 💜👋
That is an awesome buy, win, win, I don't know where you could get that in the US unless it was in the worst place maybe a swamp 😮. Always good seeing you and your family, God bless you all...❤
Mulching machine would clear the brush in no time. Don't know what it's called there. My family has a few thousand acres in the country, farm land. Tennessee.

We call it a Bushwhacker or a Brush Hog in Tennessee.
The land has potential ,he must clear it first then build in the best spot ! I like that it is up on a mountain.
