Cannot get y’all off my mind. I’m sure the rest of us adorables feel the same
Yes, I pray everyday for their family
Yes I worry about them every single day. I pray for them every night.🙏
Yes we love them❤!
I think of them daily, yes. Always hoping they're ok.
Your family is so adorable, do you guys want more children?
no idea how i happened upon this video, but i watched it regardless. It amazes me that we are all the same, we speak differently, our currency is completely different, but we are the same. it scares me that media, the 1 perecenters, politicians have us thinking anyone outside our country should be an enemy. But even scarier is that my garbage government has us even dividing ourselves. I loved this video
Well stated!💯
All people needs the Same :

You both are getting fluent in English! I'm so glad to see it! You guys, you're awesome! ❤
And thanks for this video; I really wanted to know what can you buy for $100 in Russia. I would also be interested to see how much a 19" (tires) mountain bike would cost, and the average prices of clothes. Thanks in advance!
Dan, I always appreciate your video updates. They are always very informative. My daughter lived in Russia for over 2 years and learned to speak fluent Russian. The stories she shared were amazing. Thank you for sharing your life with us.
Holy crap! I haven’t watched any of your videos in probably 6 or 8 months and your English is noticeably better! Way smoother and your vocabulary is expanding. I’m glad to see you guys are still doing well ❤️
You have to admit Susie is cute and entertaining. That spontaneity is joyful. I love this family. ❤
Regardless of countries...Dan &Susi we are much alike, food that is good for you, sharing of goods towards another person. Thankyou for sharing a bit of your time with all of us. Prices are much alike but we still have some differences between our towns and countries. Peace & Grace ❤️🙏
Bread in the us for a loaf of sourdough is five dollars non organic.
A loaf of bread right now is between $4.00 and $5.00 dollars in Canada. Eggs are close to $6.00 a dozen. Butter is close to $10.00 a pound ( lb. ). Everything is very expensive here. Glad to see that you are both well. Love watching your videos.
Tennessee USA bread in a bakery, organic, $8. Butter $4-$5. Eggs are pretty cheap again $4 for organic. Beef is getting very expensive $8 lb for good hamburger. Romaine lettuce $5!
Bread is about the same here in CA, but butter is about $5 a pound here. A gallon of milk is $6 (last time I looked)
I just paid $4 for a half loaf of sourdough bread, and $13 for a half pound of deli Turkey. Eggs are $6 a dozen and milk is about the same.
I can spend $100 and leave with one bag.
Yes, but income is so very much higher than in Russia.
@sweetwater156 same in Florida.
Love to Russia ❤ from USA 🇺🇸🙏
I second that 🇺🇸❤️🇷🇺
Love from North Carolina.
So funny, Suzie the Squirrel!!! Just come back with pockets full of goodies. Thank you for the tour. I would be rich if I came there to live and made the same amount of money there. Matter of perspective. By the way, I couldn't taste my orange juice, I think someone drank it before I could get it...
Already love this family! Praying you success at every turn . Thank you for sharing yourselves with us , thank you for your helping the less fortunate💜
Hello from Las Vegas. Love you guys. This crap will eventually be over and hopefully we can all live normally and peacefully.
Amen!
Wonderful video! You are living a great life. I’m in Washington state USA and that 100$ would buy maybe half of what you purchased. And it wouldnt begin to pay for all of our utilities. Inflation in the US is rampant. Thank you for all you put into your videos. Love this one!
I love these little videos from the Sheekos family. Just regular folks trying to get buy during a sad war.
Lol they live better than anyone in the UK
Yes, indeed. Very relatable.
your simplicity of living is very impressive , your child is lucky to have so progressive parents
I was thinking about you guys the other day ,wondering how your family was doing and here you are. Looks like you are doing well. Organic vegetables where I live in florida is expensive so I don't buy it often. Gas here is still affordable $3.55 .to fill my tank costs about $65 .seems like $100 dollars goes a lot further where you live compared to the us .glad everyone is happy and healthy .see you in the next video 😊
$100 doesnt do that much in America, and keeps getting worse.
👍
Three packets of Lays chips.
@@pqrstzxerty1296 no joke without a sale going on, 3 regular sized bags of Lay's chips would be around $12 for me at my local grocery stores
Bidenomics.
2 small bags of groceries.
Or, maybe a tank of gas.
Or.. if you’re lucky- you can pay part of your power bill.
Hi Dan,
Our electric and water bill came in for August 9th to September 9th, it was 247 dollars Canadian, our gas was 57 dollars, our grocery costs each week are 230 dollars for 3 of us, needless to say we buy the cheapest bread and non brand name products, no organic, but we do have lots of fruit and vegetables. I shop at Walmart and a discount grocer in Ontario.
Cost to fill up my small 4 cylinder car is 75 dollars and my husband's truck 220 dollars.
It's the same here in California. It's UNBELIEVABLE the prices.
I have a Honda fit and it costs $55-57 to fill up!
Great on gas! 😉
You guys always put a smile on my face. Such a lovely family.
I'm so glad to see you all!!! The bread you bought looks like what I make here! Unfortunately here, we call organic bread artisan and charge $5.00-$10.00 for it! And yours is organic! Wowzers! Blessings!!!
That was very kind of you Dan and Susie to give to help others.
Dan...I just looked back on a simple apartment for 100 per month...I can not believe I have been following you for 5 years and how your life has changed.
I truly appreciate your videos. It speaks to the humanizing of other lands customs and attitudes. It appears to show that humanity is quite similar ... in other places I have only heard of, and typically been given a much different impression of. God bless you your wife and child. Thank you
I've always found it weird how organic food is the most expensive, even though it requires the least amount of meddling to grow. Non-organic food gets genetically modified (a process that costs money), then gets sprayed routinely with chemicals (another process that costs money), and yet somehow those foods are cheaper than organic foods... My tiny little brain can't comprehend this.
without spraying more of it gets eaten by bugs and less grows per plant.
It takes much more labor and more space for organic. Think weeds, pests and such
Primarily, the yields, size, and visual quality for organic crops are much lower; that's why they cost more. But they are less toxic to the environment and to farm workers and to consumers. That's worth paying for. They are just as nutritious and taste just as good as non-organic. Though organic allows some less-toxic or non-toxic additives, the yields are still less because they aren't as effective.
I can answer that. I grow organically just for our own food and it is so time consuming. This year I spent every day hand picking bugs off my vegetables. Yes you can use some forms of pesticides also. But it is truly harder.
Without commercial pesticides a larger part of organic fruit & veggie crops are lost to pests. Also, the product can be smaller. Therefore, an organic farmer has less to sell & needs to increase the prices to make up for that.
In canadian it cost $60.00 🇨🇦 for my little toyota mateix. A coffee (rakeaway) is $2.15 🇨🇦. Pie maybe $4.00 🇨🇦 . Chocolate bar $2.00 🇨🇦 cucumber tomatoes potatoes maybe total $4 , $5, $7 .
Fruit maybe $6 . When buy loose singke peices it more money. Bread for good quality is $5-6 .
Always a pleasure to see you guys. Thank you for sharing your life with us. Very fascinating to learn about your culture. Much love and big hugs for your family from windy Wyoming
Bless you all ... we must look out for each other in this crazy world ! Looking forward to your next video , as always ... greetings from Ohio , USA !
This was fascinating! Thank you for bringing us along to spend $100 in Russia.
As always so glad to see you and Suzi and Sati happy and healthy. Best wishes to you too.
Hi Dan, Interesting video, gasoline and diesel here in Arizona are both $5.00/gallon. The last loaf of bread I bought at a farmers market cost $8.00. Take care and have a fantastic week.
That's not how economy works. Russian have to work a lot for $100. Thanks to TH-cam an American company they are making a lot of money but if it wasn't for TH-cam they would make $30k a year.
I've been watching you guys for a while and love your small family. Watching your videos on currency it seems some things arent so bad. Gas is something I can relate to easily, that would come out to $2 per gallon. Here in Washington State US I am paying $5.15 per gallon and drive my vehicle for work. It alson seems the average income in Russia is about a third of the US. $ 3lbs of organic potatoes, $4-5 for similar bread, fresh OJ $5 per glass, more if you want organic. You can't even rent a bedroom for less than $700 a month let alone an aprtment. Economics is something else.......
$5.15 a gallon?
Try 8$ a gallon in Nederland.
I’m in Sydney Australia, and current fuel prices are around (in AUD) $2.26 per litre for diesel, $2.36 per litre for premium unleaded petrol, $2.14 per litre for E10 unleaded)
@@John_Lee_ Gas in Oklahoma is $3.15 and up
Here in Canada with our dollar 2/3 of the USD we are even worse off....bread here has gone from a couple dollars a loaf to Five fifty....in two years. Mostly because our govenment sanctions it's own citizens....
My electric bill in Atlanta this month is $160 with a senior discount and a flat rate per month. My water bill was $42. I live on social security and once medical insurance is removed, I live on a little over $1200 per month. I don't pay a mortgage anymore. Gasoline was $3.05 in my area the other day. In addition to these expenses, I have to pay Property Tax, an annual tax assessment on my house, and an annual car tag registration fee. I also pay insurance on my car and on my house each month. I do alot of food preservation and gardening, which helps. It is still very difficult for a single, older person.
It’s always nice to see your family is doing well.
I'm so glad that you posted this video and yes we do worry about you and your family
"Dan my Brother!"
It is good to see you and your beautiful family again! I'm glad to see you are all doing well.
Blessings to you and yours!!💝💝💝
You guys always make me smile. 😁😁 That $100 in the UK would only get a tank of fuel. Thank you for another great video. ❤
Im jealous of those house bills.
The price of gasoline depends on how it is taxed if at all. Same with sales taxes over the cost of what you buy.
I live in south-central Texas - and artisan bread like that would be $4-5 at my local grocery, that's why I bake it myself, but the ingredients are still not cheap ... organic strawberries would be around $4 - - I'm retired ($1000/ mo) so these prices are hard on my budget - - Nice to see that you seem to be doing well
Prices have gotten so expensive over the last 4 yrs but people on a retirement or disability retirement live on a fixed income. There was some raise for persons receiving SSI but the amount is still low. I feel lucky that I own my home, the amount that rent has increased since covid is crazy.
@@shannonspage9360 I, too, own ... if not, I couldn't afford to eat!!

Hello from London UK! I am so happy to have just found your You Tube channel & this video is the first one of yours I have viewed. It is so enjoyable showing us You Tube viewers what your lovely family life is like in your home town. My grandfather on my mother's side was 100% Russian & emegrated to Buffalo New York State USA in 1917 as there was an established Russian community there. My father's side is Hungarian & Ukranian, so it is a real pleasure for a glimpse of what my family's life would be like now if there had not been the 1917 Revolution. So you have a new fan. I look forward to seeing your other videos. Lots of love to you three from Pam ❤
Dan your dreams came true - you speak wonderful English!!❤
Happy you were able to return to your home and Russia without any risk of being put in a horrid situation with this war going on. Thanks for your video and wish to see how sanctions and value of Ruble effect prices. I heard Beef costs have went up quite I bit, but no idea living in the U.S. so will watch, always enjoy your videos. Did like those in Turkey when you were traveling.

Your grocery stores have a great selection of fruits and veggies. I live in Florida, one person household. I bought 15 items at the store yesterday and it was $104 dollars. You are great shoppers. Love the videos.
Thank Goodness you're safe!! Love your heartwarming posts❤️
I get a lot of joy from watching these videos, they're really lovely and informative. I've also been teaching myself to read Russian, inspried by the Sheekoz family, and that too makes me happy, when I can pause the video and read the writing even if I might not know many Russian words. I'd like to visit Russia one day but I think I would come home fat, since all the bread and cakes look delicious, and so cheap, you couldn't get one of those nice loaves here in the U.K. for a dollar, maybe 6 or 7 from the supermarket (if they still make bread in store) hard pushed to find a decent baker anywhere else these days.

Thank you for sharing that information with us it was very valuable. Here in California a hundred dollars is not even enough to buy groceries for a week for one person. The prices here are outrageous. I have never seen the price of food so hi and paper products. And gas here is $7 a gallon. The GOVERNMENT is GOUGING California big time. Renting a one-bedroom apartment is $1,7 hundred dollars a month😢 So glad to hear from you. I often wonder how you guys are??? BLESS YOU GUYS 💕🙏💕
Julie, I hear you! I posted above on my crazy expenses in California.
Thanks, I love watching your videos Mr and Mrs Cheekoz, and the cool places you hang out. My country (England) is much more expensive to live - though it's no better, but much of our cost of living price is tax! Food seems similar in prices in both our countries, but tax on fuel and luxury products is crippling us. My country also pays for green / carbon tax, that thinks it's going to 'save the entire planet' by making us all poorer! I love that you drive a Lada car, we no longer have Lada cars for sale in UK, they were starting to make some decent cars, but then they stopped selling them here! Good luck to you and your family, peace xx
When you said you paid 1 american dollar for a loaf of fresh organic bread I had to cry. I am on a fixed income and couldnt imagine finding bread that cheap in america. I am given $80 a month to spend on food by the state. I end up buying rice, beans and pasta. Cheese, coffee (& creamer, lol), one container of yogurt and my 80 dollars is gone. It barely lasts 3 weeks. Im glad I have no children to feed. I couldnt afford it. As it is I eat one meal a day to save money.
USDA commodities program... usually dry beans, nuts, fruits, frozen meat, canned meat, grains, cheese, milk, changes each time
If you can, try to add a small head of cabbage. It lasts 2 -3 weeks in the fridge & helps you feel full longer. I make a small side salad or shred some cabbage on my meal.
There are food pantries and churches all over the US who can help you. Salvation Army is another option. I had to feed myself and 3 young children on next to nothing each month and those resources helped and are all free.
Love watching yall doing regular things like shopping and the cost of things. Your prices seem way better tjan ours!!!!! I do worry for you every time i hear bad news about your country and mine!!!! My electric bill no air conditioner was $88.00( more in winter $300. to $400. a month) my propane gas bill $225.00 for about 100gallons (more in winter) (500 gallon tank) refilled every 3-4months ,my water is free because i have well water.
I so enjoy watching these videos on your life, thoughts and daily activities and listening to Dan's insights on lifel.....it was fun to join you both on your shopping excursions, sitting down in a lovely wooded area of town as you savored your beverages (FYI - for your information - you were drinking out of Cups, NOT Glasses - helping you to improve your English, though you are doing a great job at that!👍😀 ....I especially hope to see more of your cooking!

Can't say it is more expensive. It is considering using American wages in Russia. Russians do not get American wages so for them it might be more expensive to live then it is for us in the USA.

Hello bro Sheekoz. Here in good old USA type America I bragged to my wife that our finances must be doing GREAT! My reasoning was that we spent much extra moolah stocking up for the 'pocalypse that hasn't happened yet. This year, with the dates running out in a lot of that stuff we have been dipping mightily into our stash. So thusly, some weeks we buy very little from the grocery store. I figgered we were doing great in the pocket book. So, I says to my wife... "We're doing great in the old pocket book. Da?"
And she says back to me, 'Nyet!"
I was flubbergasted. WHAT?! How come not? She answered with a word.... INFLATION. (Could be deflation or depression or worse. Who knows?)... Turns out we're actually doing worse in the old pocketbook. I can not imagine how much worse it would be in that dusty pocketbook if we didn't have this monstro stash of goodies to also pull from. Woof!
That's good you had someone watch Sati so you both can have some alone time. I also watch what I eat. Here also in the US it's hard to make $10 stretch. Cannot even plan a nice meal. Do a video of your remodeling, how far did you get. We saw the wiring. Did you get finished? Much love from Pennsylvania!
I love your channel and wish you guys all the best in life and please don't think we here in the UK dislike Russia or Russians as a whole 💯👍
$100.00 doesn't buy much in the USA 😢 Great video.Stay safe❤
Hello Dan and Suzi! Loved where you sat and drank your orange juice. Those chairs look so cool!
I wish I could snap my fingers and make your family us citizens and a little home. The love you express for your family, your home country, and the US is a thing of beauty. Maybe when this war is over and things get back to normal you can ask all your subscribers for this opportunity. You deserve all the good things you are getting Dan! Love from California USA 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🤝🏻🇷🇺
Thank you for the amazing fresh orange juice😊❤
You need to apply for an Ambassador job,
You do the best job of representing an
average Russian Human.
Along with Eli you explain the common
interests that unite Humans everywhere.
Thanks.....
The food in that organic market look very good. I like to grow what I can a buy to supplement. I buy eggs from some local farms around me. $2.00 or $3.00 dozen. I make my own bread, pastries. Better ingredients making my own. Buy local raised meats as well. Mmm nice salad, nice meal. Very nice video. Thank you from NYS USA
Glad to see a video, and that you are well. I love going to a farmers market and a bakery.
