2 main mistakes but i'm content with sub 3, I lost too many runs to the titan skip at the end so i didn't bother with it. Going to work on jj1 now but i will return to this one day

Yeah but as a guy who speedruns for fun, it probably took 10 hours to get the speedrun right.
welp in my case a speedrunner does what i did in 13 minutes in under 3 minutes

When a pro speedrun is longer three times longer then all the levels in sonic forces played going at a normal pace

Using the Hedgehog in parts intended for the Werehog then completely bypassing them is probably the most impressive thing I've ever seen in a Sonic game. Ever.

@@Grove_12-Heroes no the goal ring only spawns when the titans at the end are beaten and as hedgehog sonic they do not spawn and thus cannot be beaten therefore the goal ring doesn't spawn. You can get there as hedgehog sonic but you have to restart or exit stage as you get stuck there
@@thewitheredsoul1937I’m not even sure if the titans even have code for interacting with daytime sonic, the regular guys I could understand since they’re pretty similar to the egg fighters and likely share a lot of their code, but nothing similar to the titans appear in the day stages, so they likely don’t have code for what to do if homing attacked, the game would probably just crash.

This is crazy. It really makes me appreciate how big this level actually is. Wish we had long levels like this in modern games. To me it seems as if Unleashed and Generations are to this day the only 3D games they really put time and care into to make the games with no deadline rush. Even Frontiers suffered from that with mostly 2D sections at the end of the game. However I find Unleashed still special. This game holds up so well in this day and age they could easily port it with little effort. Back in the PS3 days I played it with 20fps and that infamous pause at this water jungle level and only now with the power of the Xbox Series X does this game play in Full HD 60fps, it took two console generations.
This speed run is amazing but the heck is the music?

It's crazy that all it takes to speedrun this level is to make super risky boost jumps through the beginning section, no-clip through the middle section, and then just tear your way through the last few rooms as Werehog Sonic

I don't have a camera of the sort so no hand cam videos. Also the video shows what i do, You can learn all this and more from playing the game and messing around with it ( 'w')v

Despite the 2 mistakes that you did, that was still a very impressive run! You did a very good job!
Little tip, try staying on the ceiling of the hallway near the boss door near the end of eggmanland. Then do the combo through walls glitch and you'll be able to skip the first boss room cus none of the enemies will load in.

You probably could land in the final room as Hedgehog, but you'd softlock yourself as I don't believe Hedgehog can damage Werehog enemies or vice versa.

It took me 22 minutes the first time I beat it

The strategy he does to skip the first werehog section and do the roller coaster part without the cart is m-speed
Start by walking as sonic, jump, boost stomp and hold stomp then hold jump.keep the stick in the same direction to keep m-speed
The other wall clips are now patched I thonk

Can day Sonic defeat dark Gaia monsters? I never actually thought till now. Are the enemies health set differently depending on who is supposed to defeat said enemy or does it vary depending on what time of day it is? Like if a mech that Werehog should defeat is approached by Hedgehog, does the enemy have a health bar?

If you go to the end as day sonic nothing spawns in. It's possible to do but pointless

Ah, I see you ended up getting the sub 3. Question... Officially, does the run time take into account the time that you pause the game? I understand that pausing does allow you to execute certain tricks, but the time to complete is obviously more than 2:56:77 if you take into account the length of the pause.
