The opening roast of Cryers Club cracked me up :) What a group of guest stars!! Milton Berle as Louis the XVI ;) "I didn't kill him" "You'd be surprised how many people tell us that" "What's a guy gotta do to get arrested in this town?"
I thought I didn't remember any details of the show's episodes, but when I saw this one everything has come back to me: the daughter, "are you ready for Danny" and "somebody in here is a murderer". After +/- 25 years.
gee, that actress who played Danny's daughter, that they kept telling us over n over was gorgeous. she really was an amazing actor. its clear she got the role by pure talent, and such a surprise she never bacame a superstar...
What I liked about the original Burke's Law (aired in the mid-1960's) was the array of guest stars who graced each week's show. Some of them were no longer that popular, like Cesar Romero, Nick Adams, and a lots more, while lots of them were up and coming stars, like Mary Ann Mobley. This version also uses the notable guest stars scenarios, and it works just fine. Murder She Wrote was much like this, using the greats and sort of greats from yesteryear to fill out the cast list. A great idea, and this series was fun, as was its predecessor.
Even back when I first saw this episode decades ago, I knew that Gerard (Corey Feldman's character) wouldn't turn out to be the killer. He may have been good with electronics and a little eccentric, but A) He had no motive, and B) He appeared to be the only one who thought fondly of Danny.
Thank you guys sharing these episodes, I really miss a certain way of making TV shows, wish you get involved and create a new brand. Most modern movies prefer the action in the dark, at least try to switch on the moonlight so we could see the ghosts moving on top of the graves damn it. Modern movies murdered the colours, everything looks like pulled out from the mud and junk yard, everything's so dirty slum disgusting shhh...it. Once they used to fix low sounds and voices using a sound mixer, they murdered the sound mixer, they found instead...actors with dying voices, the backround music is so high to make your minds blow up...then you have to guess what the hell thugs are saying... nothing important, you can realize the facts from the body language, it's always about murder in between...and stories are not this spicy either exciting😢😢😢
I was just watching a 1960's episode of Burke's Law that *also* had Jack Carter as a guest star, "Who Killed April" (1964). Quite a coincidence. But what a strange mix of guest stars this episode has. I can't see any common theme among them, as they are from different eras and differing levels and reasons for fame.
I know. Tori's father may have been behind the most popular shows of all time (and was the ABC network's saviour as a result.) but he was also a mean old shylock as far as his personal fortune was concerned. He was worth $440 million when he died in 2006. The best he should have done was leave that to his family.
Mr. Barry is really a character that suits him very well, beautiful comedies and suspense and the actors and very good guest actresses of that time The nice thing for me is to see him, in the years when he was young, there his character. He is charming and conquering, comparador con el de esta época Barry es más carismático, q el q hace de hijo , más sexy , sinpatico , bueno en ambas series muy bueno ...no me gusta pensar q falleció y que era un anciano Li recordaré ,joven y medio Ja ja joven en los 80 y 90 buen actor y esa mirada profunda es sexy o fue sexy gracias por el programa
Its not the volts that kill, its the current. I was hit with 500 V and 0.5 milliAmperes of current. I got some skin burns, from holding the cables, but lab tests showed that I had no internal injuries. There is also a difference between the effects of alternating current and direct current. AC is more deadly than DC because because AC travels to more parts of the body. I received 500 DC volts. It hurt like all get out, was thrown to the floor and I could smell burning flesh. I will most certainly check that everything is connected next time.

I didn't know that they revamped the black and white show of Burke's Law to Amos Burke: Secret Agent to cash in on the 60's spy era. They let everyone go except Gene Berry. The show didn't last.
One of Doug McClure's last roles. He finally got to do scenes with Cyd Charisse, which he didn't get to in an episode of his series Checkmate in 1961 or his movie Warlords of Atlantis in 1978.
I am so thrilled to see all these famous actors of the 90's and before appearing in each episode. Heartwarming
Campy and retro 💕This was one of my grandpa's favorite shows back in the 90s and I can see why.
Thank you for sharing all of Burke’s Law episodes.
My! what a collection of guest stars!!!
LOW
Love watching all the 80's . star making guest appearances
[Nineties]
Detective Burke is so handsome, so cool, & so smart. I so love to hear his voice.
"I was in mourning when he was alive." LOL.
God bless, Corey Feldman. A good talent wrecked by the cesspool of Hollywood.
corey is a dyed hair asshole
He continues that legacy by using vulnerable young women as his ‘playboy bunnies’ of sorts, fancying himself as a Hugh Hefner type.
Peter's white socks are killing me! LOL! I miss shows like this from back in the day
His socks would look better if they either matched his pants or shoes.
All Great actors can't find them like this no more .
A great cast from the past on this one... Roast the host etc the one liners were great...

LoL 😆🤣😆 me too
Knew from the start that the relationship between the victim and that woman would be this and not what they claimed throughout the episode 😆

loved the show in the 60's and loved it in the 90's..
Thanks a lot. Too much talent in this episode.
Gavin did a great job with his ending speech.. I actually believed him! Lol
I agree. Me too I almost felt sorry for him😞

He certainly was.
Potatoes or Gavin MacLeod?
Aaron Spelling sure could get whatever cast he wanted.
Sad his daughter didn't get daddy's money
Great episode
Back then, who the heck swims with a watch!? Much less a gold one? 😂
thank you I love this show
Rue McClanahan - love
Thanks so much!
Rue and Jack Carter were in the same episode on the original Burke's Law in the mid-60s

Well written episode that could have been better minus Tori Spelling awful performance. Gene Barry has always been a class act.👍
Diagnosis Murder 'borrowed alot'
Burke's Law creators couldn't be that broken up about it since the DM episode aired. Diagnosis Murder got alot better after season one though.
The murder device is cribbed from an old mystery novel, featured in Bill Pronzini's book, "Gun in Cheek".
