One thing I like about Joe a lot is that he is strong enough to NOT shred all the time. Just love the balance he keeps in expressive slower licks and shredding.
The shred community tend to overrate this guy because of his popularity and exclusive use of Pentatonic / Natural minor boxes plus duecto the fact that he stole all of his licks from the greats. I tend to disagree with them. JB is the most precise blues player alive, his nuances are so accurate and full of emotions. BB King and Buddy Guy saw something in him that most of us can't, I guess that speaks a lot. Joe is a genius at the guitar.
Seriously mate this guy is a genius. He started out at the borderline in London. £5 a head. Now at least a £100. His guitar solo's are the best in the world. I could reel of loads but don't want to boar u. He is the best bar none!!!!!!!!!
When the musician shows his instrument proud, like Mr.J. Bonamassa, his guitar 🎸 with which he „ sleeps“ every night ,this love und the music he is playing is true! His guitar 🎸 in his hand is speaking , feels his love , his pain , his history of his soul , his blues , his life ! The guitar 🎸 knows his request….they are together, they are ONE ☝🏽! 😎👠🌻
There are two bands my wife and I always make a point to see Joe Bonnamassa and The Government Mule. It’s a plus they like playing red rocks. Such a cool venue.
😂🤣😂🤣we would go to church as family mom, dad, my sister&me. as we went in pews i would say to my mother,... is this gonna last long... is it over yet... or i gotta go in 10 minutes.. she was easy to piss off. dad would chuckle&my sister says dont poke the bear.
They’re all really great solos. He is outstanding. My favourite is the one on the second Flying V (around 3.20). He seems the most fluent on it and it cuts through really well. I love the blues stuff, but would like to hear him in some sort of jazz-fusion setting, or maybe something in a Zappa/Steely Dan style. A harmonically complex piece would allow him to play his occasional and brilliant ‘outside’ lines a bit more. Just a thought.
Gary was my biggest influence; so versatile... His period before (still got the) blues-album(s), contained much great solo-work... a true master in shred, melody, everything
Thanks for this compilation, it's very nice. Personally, I would like to include "Strange Fruit" (with Beth Hart) as well. In this songs, his play is alien-like.
I'm glad I watched Little Joe and he became JOE LARGE, guess there's room for more GREAT white hopes... BLUE'S is a feeling .... OUT of this WORLD....dirt roads... moon shine, JIM CROW.... You could let everybody in Juke Joint feel better or worse .... pain including misery... suffering, hunger and toss in some broken HEARTS also ⚠️ reach deep inside your SOUL ...1000 guitars maybe owned, but never Played..ha ha
Virtuoso than has ever been played 🎸before anyone, anywhere in the world 🌎….and isn’t happening anytime soon, I believe! Mr.J. is a genius personified !
My first time listening to Joe even tho I’ve heard his name millions of times. He is a damn great player, he is very clean and precise. I thought he was one of those sloppy blues players but the guy has great technique. I have to check him out more
same bro. I've been a metal guitar player since forever. This is my very first time listening to him (I've heard of him everywhere ofc). This guy's crazy. Stops and Sloe Gin are terrific
I just saw Joe live at red rocks in Colorado and I will definitely go on record by saying he's the greatest and he's concerts are mind blowing with no mistakes and chill bumps solos
im american livin phillipines. would freakin go if he came or fly japan if he went. wanna see him pic them strings live in my face. feel them puttin me in my groove. hes has the power
Clapton isn't in the league as a player of SRV or Joe or Moore but he is an excellent composer. Guthrie is better than them all but unfortunately cant write or sing. I miss SRV cuzz he just oozed cool .
This is awesome, I'm fairly new to Joe's music.i really only listen to blues deluxe. Maybe you guy's can shoot me suggestions for songs to check out? I'd really appreciate it
In the first place I didn't like him because I thought his sound is too modern and polite for me. But after listening more carefully I think he's a got a very beautifull phrasing and a great variety of vocabullary and techniques. Beautifull music.
OMG. He is so cool. I am in love with that tunes, and his art of playing. Why for so long TH-cam? Maybe next you will give me something like that, not some Blogger rubbish.
JOE & AMOS!!!!! BORN Under a Bad sign was Amos...Black Pick Guard ! Angel of Mercy was a Flying V but Not Amos... White Pick Guard!!! Do I Get an A? Professor Joe?
One thing I like about Joe a lot is that he is strong enough to NOT shred all the time. Just love the balance he keeps in expressive slower licks and shredding.
malmstein could learn a lesson from joe about not shredding all the time.
Do you know Malmsteen's famous saying about Less is more? :) It's epic and explains everything.
THATS IIIIT!!! \O/
So well said.....
The influence Mr Moores had on him

Yeah Yet Gary moore take a piss all over him
exactly.Just like Slash.

His solo on blind girl is amazing.
The quality of his sound is amazing...he play every note with clarity , no fuzz no B...S....
reminds of how RR played, with a bluesy slower feel.
A mixture of his tweed twins and dumbles cranked to max
@@christian36able his cryptonite is playing at low volumes ;)
I disagree, his guitar was so loud when I saw him that it drowned everything else a bit too much
Imagine hearing it in person.... He's amazing lol
Those solos were so excellent, I can’t wait to see him live! The whole band is amazing! Joe’s playing is stupendous!☮️❤️☯️
i saw him live yesterday
God that guitar tone in stops solo is amazing, still gives me chills
Sounds like the 3 kings
Saw him Twice in Melbourne Aust......Those Blues Solos send a shiver down my spine!

Im new to Mr Bonamassa so thank you for posting with song titles ❤
I thank God every day or I grew up listening to Joe... I hope to play guitar with this master, until then I'll practice.
There are two bands my wife and I always make a point to see Joe Bonnamassa and The Government Mule. It’s a plus they like playing red rocks. Such a cool venue.
When he did the Royal Albert Hall,he had that John Mayall vibe, stylish, makes the blues more modern. The whole set was great.
I swear. If I could play like that, I would attend Church every Sunday. I swear!..?
LOL
Hahaaa
Attend anyway. 😊

Or you could sell your soul?
Thank You, Amine for your film with Joe Bonamassa 's playing
I'm his fan 💃
He look like Agent Smith with the suit and those glasses...
The lights bother his eyes. Only time for the shades
@@mstewart109 I know that.. My comment was kinda sarcastic :P

Stop! May be my absolute favorite song of all time.
The version tour de force "OUTSTANDING"
Excellent compilation!
he knows when to hold em' and he knows when to fold em',,,an excellent all around player...
Joe=Clapton+Eric Johnson confirmed
MrDragonkarp with sprinkles of Gary Moore
With a soulful vibrato of Moore and Kossoff
+ blackmore
Eric Johnson is boring but yea Joe is the best guitarist today. No one is even close.
@@DickMann11tf
Go to his first album with Bloodline, song 10, Since You're Gone. Solo starts at 3:59 and lasts 5 minutes and he was 16 or 17 years old!!! It rocks!!
Just bought Joe's signature wah, here to see how how he is. gotta say, this guy is the real deal
Now I don't have to listen to all his songs to hear the solos. Nicely done!
The groove emerging from this man is beyond real
Stevie's still The King. Everyone else in the blues heap is a toddler by comparison. Still in his own league decades later.
Love SRV but you might as well just go watch him then lol. JB has way more versatility even in blues.
So many of these solos sound MUCH better from the Live at Royal Albert Hall performance
You can definitely hear Gary Moore's influence. Great player.
Gary was my biggest influence; so versatile... His period before (still got the) blues-album(s), contained much great solo-work... a true master in shred, melody, everything
2:41 seems like a desert eagle isn't the only thing agent Smith handle well
This human being is on a level i could never understand.... He makes me so hungry to pick up my Telecaster
Joe playing with Eric reminds me of BB playing with Gary 👏👏👏❤
love the fact that he actually plays those expensive guitars live
Jeez he has a library of beautiful emotive solos
Esse cara é fera na guitarra!! Varginha, MG - Brasil
I m surprised not to see hummingbird on your list. But great list. It's so hard to really choose his best solos. They all are
Yes!
Thanks for this compilation, it's very nice. Personally, I would like to include "Strange Fruit" (with Beth Hart) as well. In this songs, his play is alien-like.
The fifth song is not midnight blues..It's Blues Deluxe.
Yes, my bad! Thanks for pointing it out.
The solo on I'd rather go blind is very Claptonish! Good!
This guy makes angels cry with that guitar...GOT DAMN
UNBELIEVABLY FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!
No one plays like him, NO ONE, PERIOD.
Wasiq Rafiq Stevie Ray Vaughan?
@@skennyp1434 technique or SRV is amazing but musicality of joe is top notch
Bruh what he stole licks from everyone.
Eric Johnson shits on Bonamassa and its not even close. This dude has no style unless you're talking about those tasteless Armani suits he wears.
I've never ever been bored by a musician as much as I am of this guy.
I'm glad I watched Little Joe and he became JOE LARGE, guess there's room for more GREAT white hopes... BLUE'S is a feeling .... OUT of this WORLD....dirt roads... moon shine, JIM CROW.... Right now Eric Gales... Kicks his ASS! Too much SMOKE... BLUE'S don't need no pretenders ...
Amazing.Magic.Supper Virtuos...
Just saw him tonight at The Chicago theater and he is nothing short of spectacular.

JOE BONAMASSA Le guru de pantatonic............
i saw ur comment on a lambo vid and u have a vid with 91k views wow
If anybody tells you they've got the best job in the world, show them this.
The Solo from the song midnight blues in the video is actually the Solo from the his Song Blues Deluxe
Agent Phil Coulson from S.H.E.I.L.D has been spending his retirement time wisely, I see
Dudes a beast.
That solo in Angel of Mercy! Holy lord.
Yup
Next to Eric Clapton Joes is hands down the best blues rock player of our century
Uh...SRV just might have something to say about that, as would Gary Moore.
Of course, I guess you mean this century; in which case you're probably correct, though Moore was alive for part of it.
Moore was a killer player. He wasn't a one trick pony. He was awesome. I love all of 'em I do not compare them!
Clapton isn't in the league as a player of SRV or Joe or Moore but he is an excellent composer. Guthrie is better than them all but unfortunately cant write or sing. I miss SRV cuzz he just oozed cool .
Clapton is highly overrated, I don't even consider him as a great player
5:08 is not ‘midnight blues’
It’s ‘Blues deluxe
music is the leguaje of soul
For me, the best out there
Maro Muratti y
Magico e inigualable
For me "Reconsider Baby" also has a good solo !
Alex Veron hell yes he did the best cover hands down noone held the note like he did when he says "long"
This is awesome, I'm fairly new to Joe's music.i really only listen to blues deluxe. Maybe you guy's can shoot me suggestions for songs to check out? I'd really appreciate it
You can check those featured in the video. You can't really go wrong with Joe, most of his stuff is worth listening!
Check out Live at Rockpalast. ...in my opinion his best live performance. .
Anthony Rodriguez takin the hit, slow gin, pain and sorrow
Rock palast when he was fat with Eric czar on bass and kenny cramme on drums awesome 😊😊😊😊😊
Damn I'm sweatin so much I want a paycheck for this.
that sloe gin boyyyyyyyyyy oooooohhhhh got DAMN
It's ALL DELUXE!!!!!!!!

Already said jb is the master of the solo. Nobody comes close to him. He's amazing. 2 to 3 hours minimum on solo's maybe more. Extraordinary.
He has some of that Eric Johnson's chops
OMG. He is so cool. I am in love with that tunes, and his art of playing. Why for so long TH-cam? Maybe next you will give me something like that, not some Blogger rubbish.
Last Kiss 2009 Royal Albert Hall
My favourite part of this vid was the solo.
this guitar playing - solo constant transition from the style of Stevie Rae Vaughan to the style of Eric Claptan
you should check out his solo in Stone Cold, Jimmy Barnes featuring Joe Bonamassa
I LOVE THIS MAN!!!♥️😎♥️
Невероятно!!!
Genius of modern blues-rock-jazz.
Already said he's the best. Now this must prove it. Done. Jb the ultimate best guitar player. Sweet.
5:16 Blues Deluxe** fam
Eric’s like oh shit this kid ain’t screwing around.
Very Gary Moore style of play and feel
The dude can shred! SRV came back in the hands of JB
Except from the fact that Joe is even better.
@@kimsarlis31 no way man, SRV was the king besides maybe Hendrix
