I've always thought about how it would work for Komala to evolve when being traded with Pikipek, which steals its trunk, causing it to wake up and evolve. Pikipek would evolve in a woodpecker inside a hole in the trunk with wings spreaded out of the sides
Seeing your komala evolution has inspired me, so here goes: Regional form komala Normal/dark This version of komala is plagued by constant nightmares due to living near a location with big mental disruptions. As a result of these nightmares, it swings it's log around like it's fighting its nightmares - but it's most commonly actually fighting some poor innocent pokemon that happened to be nearby. Designwise, it's komala with grey fur, a more aggressive stance and a face that conveys both fear and a drive to survive. When it reaches level 32 while holding a slumber log (an item that increases the power of any sleep-based moves), it evolves into: Komallet Dark/Fairy The power of the slumber log has awoken komala. It sees the real world for the first time in its life and decides that this world must never become the world it's seen in its nightmares. Thus, it becomes a protector of the weak and defenseless, though it still keeps its aggressive fighting style. For its design, the log it was holding has become a big hammer. Bodywise, it now stands up tall, with glowing black eyes, and muscular (while a bit short) limbs. Its fur is still grey, but with streaks of glowing pink and blue. It also gains a signature move, Sleep Smash. It's a dark type physical move that can put opponents to sleep for one turn - though using the move multiple times in succession will result in the sleep not working. I literally came up with some of this stuff while writing this, but what do you think?

Golduck evolution took me by surprise simply because how well designed and well thought out it is.. As you said, it does transition seamlessly from Psyduck line (tiny dot for eyes is simply a brilliant continuation from Psyduck's dopey eyes) And the lore is cherry on top.. A chill guy contemplating existence and thinking of making world a better place with Slowking is exactly what I want Psyduck to be.. Great job...

Absolutely love these, especially Komalto I would appreciate if you’d add a female evolution to that line, seen in aboriginal culture only men are allowed to play the didgeridoo/Yidaki. In aboriginal culture Men often conduct ceremonies, but women are also guardians of special knowledge, hold great spiritual power within a group, and conduct ceremonies. Maybe a normal psychic female variant that is more “wise” in design would be cool. This design could emphasize respect for aboriginal culture and traditions. Also would really really love if you could give chimecho an evolution, I was always super upset that it only got a baby form. I wish it had gotten the same treatment as roselia and gotten both a baby form and an evolution. I really love this series and the thought you put behind your designs

I wasn't sure if I liked metaduck until you mentioned it would hang out with slowking. That's a fun mental image of this more severe looking pokemon next to slowking, like mace windu next to Yoda

Wiseparce, Kamalto, and Kamalyph are amazing. I could see them as official Pokemon, and I love the attention to their lore. Idk about the others though, I think grumpig and golduck are fine as is. Great work though.

I recently got really into your channel. The type swap series has gotten me especially interested in your content. While watching one, I developed an idea for a type swap: a pure fire Shedinja. The lore goes that during the transition from Nincada to Ninjask, the Nincada was struck by fire, imbuing the husk with the fire element. Instead of a void on its back, it has a core. It’s eyes could be wide open and producing light, due to the inside being hollow, allowing the light of the core to pour through the socket. Also, the Ninjask could be another type too. Maybe dark, or even ghost. It could get scythes for claws and have a more robe like body
Alto typically refers to the lowest female voice with tenor being the highest male voice. Kinda makes more sense since diggeridoos are very low pitched!
Love to see more of theses, I always wanted to see a evolution of sandslash Like a kangaroo horse that is used to run across the desert or the snowy mountains for the alola version

Dunsparce (Wiseparce): 7/10 - Amazing design, and very appealing. I definitely prefer your take on it over just making it Quetzalcoatl. I think I would've just made it Flying > Dragon, since I don't equate being a snake to being a dragon. Komala (Komalto): 9/10 - I don't think a better evolution for it could be made. I love it. I especially love how faithful it feels to Komala and the Pokemon universe. Grumpig (Pigroan): 8/10 - I love Journey to the West and the inspiration is thick. The flavor of using its tail as a throne and acting all haughty is spectacular. Golduck (Metaduck): 8/10 - I love the completion of the journey for this species. Starting off with strong psychic powers but being rendered dumb because its overwhelming just to progress eventually to a higher state of being is fantastic. I like that you went with a complete color change again (as Golduck did with Psyduck). I think the biggest miss here is the reversion of pupil to Psyduck, when I think it should've kept the developed pupils of Golduck, since in my mind this species is a textbook evolution to an apex being. Sigilyph (Kamalyph): 10/10 - Absolutely amazing flavor and execution. This would be one of my top 10 Pokemon. The only thing I hate is that its not real.

@@alexbrown8900 Actually, the biggest thing that would hold this mon back in an actual competitive scene is the fact that its speed is too high, the 55-75 speed range is the worst place to be speed-wise as you are too slow to outspeed any regular mons but too fast to underspeed any Trick Room mons. If you wanted to keep this mon at 510 but make it more viable, you could easily drop its speed to 25 and but 20 into Attack and 20 into Sp Def, at that point you can run it on Trick Room teams with probably Assualt Vest/Levitate depending on its move set or even Leftovers or Sitrus Berry would be pretty good, at least in terms of VGC (the format where im knowledgable) this this would still be hard to justify running simply because its typing is really bad defensively in the current format (with Glastier, Metagross, and Tapu Fini all being top 10 mon in terms of usage), in later formats i could see this getting use, especially if it learns a physical fighting and a physical steel move.

Personally, i liked Komalto's design the most. It has lots of personality and its pose is very dynamic, but i thought that Metaduck was a bit lackluster. Great job either way.
Well I think that metaducks design was well suited for its evolutionary line because the general simplistic shapes and color scheme matched those of its previous evolutions and also it's generation I mean yeah it's lackluster but the other evolutions are too, so it goes well. You wouldn't expect golduck to evolve into something elaborate and complex now wouldya?
Dudunsparce has me on the fence, but your Wiseparce would've had me swooning. Ignoring the whole Dunsparce evo situation, the other evolutions in this vid are dope.
Putting aside form evolutions, like perrserker or obstagoon, the last new evolution for a pokemon created in a past generation is sylveon. In 2013. Which was 7 years ago. Truegreen7 is out here doing what game freak couldnt

Where did we all get the idea to turn Dunsparce into a Dragon/Ground-type? Even before I knew anything about Dunsparce or its association with the tsuchinoko, I made an evolution of it that was also Dragon/Ground. And almost everyone else that made one made it that exact type as well. Bizarre.

Starting off with strong psychic powers but being rendered dumb because its overwhelming just to progress eventually to a higher state of being is fantastic. I like that you went with a complete color change again (as Golduck did with Psyduck). I think the biggest miss here is the reversion of pupil to Psyduck, when I think it should've kept the developed pupils of Golduck, since in my mind this species is a textbook evolution to an apex being.
Sigilyph (Kamalyph): 10/10 - Absolutely amazing flavor and execution. This would be one of my top 10 Pokemon. The only thing I hate is that its not real.

@@alexbrown8900 Actually, the biggest thing that would hold this mon back in an actual competitive scene is the fact that its speed is too high, the 55-75 speed range is the worst place to be speed-wise as you are too slow to outspeed any regular mons but too fast to underspeed any Trick Room mons. If you wanted to keep this mon at 510 but make it more viable, you could easily drop its speed to 25 and but 20 into Attack and 20 into Sp Def, at that point you can run it on Trick Room teams with probably Assualt Vest/Levitate depending on its move set or even Leftovers or Sitrus Berry would be pretty good, at least in terms of VGC (the format where im knowledgable) this this would still be hard to justify running simply because its typing is really bad defensively in the current format (with Glastier, Metagross, and Tapu Fini all being top 10 mon in terms of usage), in later formats i could see this getting use, especially if it learns a physical fighting and a physical steel move.

Personally, i liked Komalto's design the most. It has lots of personality and its pose is very dynamic, but i thought that Metaduck was a bit lackluster. Great job either way.
Well I think that metaducks design was well suited for its evolutionary line because the general simplistic shapes and color scheme matched those of its previous evolutions and also it's generation
I mean yeah it's lackluster but the other evolutions are too, so it goes well. You wouldn't expect golduck to evolve into something elaborate and complex now wouldya?

Where did we all get the idea to turn Dunsparce into a Dragon/Ground-type? Even before I knew anything about Dunsparce or its association with the tsuchinoko, I made an evolution of it that was also Dragon/Ground. And almost everyone else that made one made it that exact type as well. Bizarre.
