3M Hand Masker? Had mine for 20 years and they weren’t new then. If you didn’t know about that one you’ve never been in a hardware store. And that adjustable socket head thing? Just the deal for tight spaces….right. What is notable about so many of these devices is their obvious drawbacks. Take the tool for drilling screws at an angle into deck boards: Even many hardwoods will quickly split when fasteners take such a small bite of the edge of the board. And that drill-powered wallboard cutter is suitable only for old work boxes, which account for an imperceptible fraction of box installations. Olfa makes nice cutting devices but I bet the fancy blades for the knife here cost way more than the norm, assuming you can find them.

    1. For almost as long as there have been power drills, there have been simple little drill powered pumps that cost less than 50 dollars... 2. That is a hedge trimmer with a different blade. Figure out the blade, and you'll have the saw for a small percentage of the cost. 9. That tape/paper 'dispenser', is a paint masker, and has been around for at least 40 years. 11. Floor scrapers have been around for centuries. That said, the one shown is a very good deal! 12. Hammer stapler. Been around for at least 50 years.

I love when they say how many cuts you'll get either through the amount of cuts or hours. Every person that uses tools knows they will probably used their battery for more than one tool. That's another problem I'm sure someone has a great idea for. Cool stuff!

The fuck did you just say? a cell phone battery that is good for 100 texts or 50 calls doesn't make it worth less because you decided to send 50 texts and make 25 calls rather than going all in on one or the other,

    • @Republican_Extremest
      @Republican_Extremest ปีที่แล้ว

cuts per hour may vary depending on the hardness or softness of the material. If the wood is hard. Hahaha I said hard wood 😁 anyways it requires the blade to spin using its torque for longer thus draining the battery faster. Are you cutting when it's warm out, or cold? Are you that guy who never takes his pack off the charger? Did you train the battery properly, when you took it out of the package? Is the tool brushless? General original style battery pack or Lithium Ion? Side Note did you know your Lithium Ion batteries are essentially bombs? If the housing breaks and exposes the insides and it drops in water make sure you run like hell.. Lithium is reactive to water and explodes blue, and yellow gets hot like MAP gas.. watched a guy cut open a AA Battery, and unrolled the inside and tossed it into a glass cooking pan and it exploded. He's on TH-cam and should look it up sometime. Sorry I know I went a little A.D.H.D. on the topic

Driving screw on an angle on the board edge is also just stupid in Canada. One winter and the board will crack all along the edge.
There's a reason it never took off in Canada. We get board shrinkage from the cold but expansion forces from ice. Deck board inevitably curl and if the crews aren't vertical the boards just crack. That's also why is actually code to pre-drill the screw holes and have double joists or 4 inches for deck board ends, because if screws less then 1 inch from the board end will crack the boards

Here in germany these Hamerstaplers are used for years already. They are very useful.
Deckpro isn't a new idea either. I have to many of these things laying around in my workbench. Every brand thinks they invented a new wheel with these... handy but overrated.
I had the chance to test the Eibenstock and they are very good. Only downside are the blades, they get dull very quickly and takes some time to change.
SP QuickFlow isn't a new idea either. I have a pump for my drill from Wish (1,50 Euro) for years now. Even the cheap ones do their job very well.
My addition to this list would be the hammer with an integrated nail dispenser by Michael David Young.
Very easy to use, even for someone without experience.
I only tested out a prototype and i was already in awe. The finished product is for sure even better.

2:57 this cutting tool is a joke, the normal carpet knife with break-off blade is and always was superior.
    5:45 it's a toy torque wrench , literally only a toy
6:42 that is so useless, you need to squeeze the handles together before even doing anything else, the two adjustable wrenches that were already present on the table in video is all a mechanic needs
8:25 THE WINNER, that is a useful tool, it exists in a different form tho
    9:14 it's a shovel.
9:55 i have such tacker at home, that this is older than me.
10:52 this looks like it can rip off muscles off a bone....if you know what i mean

The post driver, it's not about avoid strenuous labor, or saving time as it may actually take long, but it's about preserving the body. We do so much damage to our bodies every day, and swing a sledge hammer for several hours a day is not good for the body. Just as a physical therapist about the injuries they see from this stuff. I'll say this, too, while I've driven some posts/rods into the ground the old fashion way, and it was very satisficing to look at what I did at the end of the day, if I had to do it on a regular basis, I would 100% choose a tool that would do much of the work.

At 22 an old farmer asked me if I could drive a Chevelle. I told him I can drive about anything. He swung the barn door open and there it was. Told me to grab those two " shovels " we was gonna drive them across the pasture putting down field drainage tile.. So hell yes would have shelled out the cost of the ditching saw.

Or WW1 in which my grandfather survived Gallipoli and the Somme, he sent his medals back because in his letter he didn’t want medals for killing other young men like himself, he and his brother saved each other’s lives many times. He even participated in the unofficial Christmas truce that happened organically along the front lines, and he shared tobacco and food with the German soldiers and they showed their photos of their loved ones back home, they had one day of weird peace, before they were shooting at each other again. He came home as someone who would help anyone and did, he taught my Dad and his siblings to do the same, and my Cousin’s most of us went into jobs helping the vulnerable. That’s a pretty good legacy, considering how much hell he witnessed and the constant shelling for years.
