Something not mentioned in the guide, the hand signs and all their lore about the fox god was actually based on a misunderstanding of the girls. They were trying to do the sign of the horns, but they said: looks like a shadow fox. I think the underlying idea is similar to this interview answer by Kobametal: What was the inspiration for creating something so different? “[I was hoping] to incite that strange feeling that makes you go ‘what is this?’” KOBAMETAL explains, going on to give a concrete example; “Like the movie Kill Bill. I think Tarantino probably really likes Japan, and he worked hard on reproducing that in the movie, but it’s just slightly off, right? Still, it has a lot of originality.” For KOBAMETAL, that’s where the entertainment is. “[If] we were to do just straight metal-having the girls screaming-it probably wouldn’t be as interesting!”
Mikio Fujioka---a profound loss. I got into BM through the Kami Band members' club gigs. Fujioka was a teacher or mentor to many musicians you're familiar with, ranging from Akane and Kanami of Band-Maid to Midori of Lovebites to Tomo-zo of Gacharic Spin to Hazuki of Nemophila to Hiroyuki Ogawa of Unlucky Morpheus, as well as fellow Kamis. The condolence message that Saki (now) of Nemophila addressed to Fujioka's wife is a thing of true class---short and sweet, polite and respectful, warm and empathetic.
Mikio is sadly missed. A true artist whose legend wasn't fully written. the skill, presence and generosity of Mikio will play out for the next 50 years.
Thanks for checking out my video! I hope you enjoyed it. Maybe one day I’ll update it with some new information but god knows when I’ll have the time or energy to do so.
No, man...Thank YOU for taking the time to put together all that info. Being new to the Babymetal scene, it definitely answered and confirmed a lot questions I've had. Gave me a fresh look at how everything started, especially knowing that my original experience with them when they first came out years ago, wasn't pleasant for me. I'm glad I gave them another chance. Regardless if you ever update it or put together more, the work you've done already is amazing and something I believe every new fan should watch. Who knows, someone may come along at some point and build off of your work, or you may do some more, but what's the saying? Only the Fox God truly knows! Thanks again!
Your other major resource for Babymetal is Du-metal's blog, whose translations and explanations are regularly quoted or referred to by commenters without credit or attribution.
Nice to meet you, I am a Japan person. As you may already know, it seems that the recording of new songs ("restoration" among them) is progressing on "THE OTHER ONE - DIGITAL GALLERY" on the official website of BABYMETAL, but it seems that they have reached the remaining one song. Among Japan fans, there will be a new album soon. Expectations are also rising, but it may be released this year. However, the pandemic is not yet fully contained, so even if the album is released, the tour itself is likely to be postponed. Also, we don't know who the third Babymetal will be, but many fans think that Momoko is the most deserved. I hope so. Or do they leave the two of them alone and have a support dancer with them, which is also "Only The Fox God Knows."
I think you're a health professional. So, think about what they said... Yui decided to become a performer after inspired by music from Su and Karen girls "helped her overcome the life-threatening illness of a family member". Number two, she has an adorable "reaction lag"...and a tendency to fall asleep during live interviews... and after about a year she was not able to return? You put it together, my first thought is total speculation, but something hereditary might have finally caught up with Yui. Let's just hope to God!!! she really is doing well.
Excellent content and reaction, so good to see you with this guide. It looks like all the questions you had have been answered in the comments already, so I'll just look forward to you continuing your journey 🤘🦊🤘
👍 well done. In reference to Mikio’s tragic death he fell off of an observation platform and succumbed to his injuries a few days later. Nothing nefarious behind it just a terrible accident.
Cool man, you got a lot of questions, some were answered some not, I'm not a hardcore SG fan but I know some fukei can help you out with those specific details you need, i do remember about the disbanded last year thou I think it was related to covid lockdown and lack of live shows and incoming revenue from those one. Please be careful with people spreading rumours about Yui-chan withdrawal and whatnot, people coming out of nowhere with crazy theories and unchecked news or without reliable fonts. May the Fox God bless you and put your kitsune up! 🦊🤘🔥
I made it about 45 mins into this one. I'll have to watch the rest later. Very well done so far. There are a few spoilers, but nothing too major since you reacted to Babymetal Death already. That was probably the main one. I'm really hoping you do Tales of the Destinies/The One from Tokyo Dome soon. Since you said you like prog, you're going to flip out. They should be done together and from the Babymetal Reactor Resource channel though.
This is good video to explain Babymetal and the girls background, but your right it is a little older and there are updates for the years following this video.
Well done! I really appreciate you did this longer version of the guide. Fortunately, just minimum spoilers of songs here, don't worry about that. Same here: I got my first BABYMETAL BD without having a BD reader. So I got a BD reader, a sound system and also a bigger TV just to watch them properly. 😁 By the way, the "correct" term for BD or DVD is "DeLorean". Don't worry, you will find why at some point 🤣
Sukura Gakuin is the child stars unit of the concept of schoollife 2010-2021 by Amuse.( Amuse is the biggest entertainment company in Japan). There is a lot of child stars (acting for TV. Movies. etc) in Amuse. And the most important thing , Amuse made the unit as the education program for their child stars. Therefor the unit members are only selected in the child stars and are very beautiful and humble. (so is diffrent from 'AKB etc') The members act an idolunit and learn a lot of catgorys'skill (singging, dancing, talking. etc) by professionals of Amuse. (with acting for TV. Movies. etc ) The members have to graduate the unit on 15years old and transfer the specific section (actor, musician.etc) in Amuse.(Almost members become an actor.)
Metallica is responsible for their true conversion to appreciating metal. They sat in the audience at a festival where Metallica was the headliner. Su says the "power" and ability of Metal to reach your heart was what she learned that night, walking away with a whole new appreciation of Metal music and how it could be used to reach people. She also credits Metallica with demonstrating how to switch from one person behind the scenes to another person on the stage. Mikio's accident involved falling off a viewing platform on a mountain. Concerning the "Avengers", something to understand is that when performing on stage in Japan, Riho was likely the biggest "star" on the stage from her time in Morning Musume (one of the biggest groups in Japan), yet there were absolutely zero ego issues between her and Su/Moa. Quite the opposite. The relationship between BMTH and Babymetal was actually initiated by BMTH in the early days of Babymetal. They both appeared at a festival and BMTH had the dressing room before Babymetal did. For lack of a better description, Oli felt sorry... or concerned.... about these young girls being overwhelmed by all the metalheads and what goes on backstage at a metal festival, so BMTH left bags of gifts for the girls to make them feel welcome, a tradition that Babymetal has carried forward for all their festival performances and for bands opening for them. Oli also wore a Babymetal T-Shirt for that festival performance for the same reason. BMTH were among the original bands standing up for Babymetal. "Stairway to Living Legend" remains a mystery. We still don't know what it really means.
They did outstafing job. they are something else. they did saved my musical soul, i am a old wchool metalhead bassist who gonna throw my whole career down. but discovering them i thought live muisc didnt just died. on western world , but its moved to Japan. they are geniunely talented and dedicated . simply they regained my belief on metal scene.
Well done. I really hope this was an hour of your time well spent. I suspect it will be. There is so much information in it. I think I have seen this video a dozen times and each time I learn or remember something new or forgotten. Take your time with Babymetal and work up through the albums. This will allow you to grow with them. People will say you have to react to this, or that. but you may get out of context. You are early in your Babymetal journey. Why not go back to the start and work your way through. skip the songs you have already done. Grow with them, you probably have 40 or so songs left. It really is an enigmatic and heartwarming story with Babymetal.
Oh it was well worth my time! I enjoyed every second of it. In all things, it can be hard to truly understand the current without knowing about the origin and/or past. This was definitely a great suggestion and great overall tool in learning about Babymetal!
GJ. The heights given were their heights at the time the video was made. In their early videos Su is much taller than Yui and Moa. I'm not sure if their heights were ever given for when they started. Although Moa will tell you she's not smol. For some time, she was the shortest of the group. Now that it's just Su and Moa, unless Moa grows some more, she may stay the shortest. Momoko did such a good job I was pulling for her to become a new member. All 3 of the avengers can sing so if Momoko became an official member she would just have to learn the vocal parts. Their management have kept their private lives private. So, no one publicly knows what the health issues were or are. Second Mikkio fell from a stargazing tower. He lived for a couple of days before passing from the injuries. Truely tragic. Sadly, these are also some of the things that Babymetal shares with of Legendary groups. Babymetal has both a member who left and a guitarist who died. Babymetal is on a stairway to living legend indeed. More up to date info. Since April 1st. Which is fox day in Japan. See what they did there. And like April fool's day practical jokes are played that day. Some of the info about Babymetal that comes out that day is a joke. But other times it's great news. Only The Fox god Knows which it will be. LOL. This year they have been slowly releasing snippets of new material. From what they're calling The Other One. Only The Fox god Knows what that means. Some pics of Babymetal was released with it. They look great. While in the past folks would refer to Moa sometimes as princess Moa. The pics have her sitting on a throne chair right next to Su now. Moa has grown in a queen in her own right. IMO it may mean even more work for Moa on the much-anticipated 4th album. Moa on the 3rd album did more backup vocals and harmonies than on previous albums. Su has her solo songs and Moa was doing the Black Babymetal songs as a solo. But this 4th album may have the first Moa solo song specifically written for her. Moa has spoken about wanting to do another song about......... Food yup you guessed it. I would not be surprised if the Moa solo song is about that. Just some of my thought on the things they released this year. You can hear some of those snippets on you tube. Babymetal has the best sing off ever. See You
Su seems much taller than the other two these days because she wears heels. It's to keep up the look they had in the early days when Su was actually much taller than Yui and Moa. In the SG videos she towers over Yui and Moa without heels. When she's on stage though, Su seems way larger than life because of how she carries herself on stage. Mikio died when he fell from an astronomical observation tower, and actually passed away several days after the accident. An absolute tragedy considering what a unique talent he was. You can find videos of him in other projects, like with a jazz band called Kari Band, where BOH and an ex Kami Band drummer named Yuya also participated. Excellent stuff you may want to add to the 'to watch' list. Yui's health issue was never disclosed, and there is certainly no shortage of speculation. One thing fans noticed was her use of a back brace that could be seen in the Big Fox Festival concert and her obvious lack of some mobility compared to earlier concerts. But like I said, nothing has ever been officially mentioned. I really look forward to seeing you react to the Legend 1997 and 1999 concerts, as well as the 2014 Budokan shows.
@@lencooke944 She fell off the stage at the Budokan Red Night (first of two nights) in March 2014. The chances of that fall being the cause of the health issues that led to her leaving the band 3.5 to 4.5 years later are very slim.
@@Grington300 Thanks for that, I knew she fell, but it would really be unlikely that this led to her departure. I am happy with not knowing. I appreciate what she gave us and wish her well for the future.
Nice one.... Now that you've seen the guide, you can get a good idea of how hard the girls have had to work to get to where they are now. Sakura Gakuin was pretty much like a entertainment performance boot camp, where the girls had to learn to sing, dance, improve skits.... There's plenty of stuff on TH-cam for SG if you want to checkout... Nendo Tests are a must, which is like a basic knowledge test, and the answers are hilarious.... The music performances from the various "clubs" and SG as a whole are great, songs like "Song for Smiling", "Friends", "Mini-Patissier Miracle Patiful Humberger" are all fun and cute songs.... Yeah, SG is another deep deep rabbit hole to jump into. Have fun! 🤘🦊🤘🌸🌸🌸🌸
@@rah2287 definitely emotional with Su's grad, but for me the acoustic version of "Friends" sung by Nene, Marina to the rest of the class, and seeing Yui and Moa openly crying a dear vid to my heart.
Cryptic Misery is the updated version. So you will be able to find out more about why we love ❤️ BABYMETAL so much. Most Sakura Gakuin members graduated in 2021 so maybe they disbanded. Kitsune Up 🦊🦊🦊🤘🤘🤘🇯🇵🇺🇸🇸🇬.
What a good reaction. Glad you watched this. It answers a lot. You mentioned the height difference between Su-metal and Moametal/Yuimetal. Su-metal wears 2 inch lifts, in her performance boots.😉 🤘🦊🤘💙💙💙
Thanks for this reaction, I hope you learned a lot more. The gap between the height of the girls is obviously because they were younger then than they were when the guide was created. Moa even was taller at some point than Yui, she revealed what her secret weapon was: growth spurt ! :-) Seriously, while the guide is very clear on a details, a few aren't actually fully known the in exact details, for example did Kobametal have the idea of Babymetal before seeing Suzuka perform or not. This nuance isn't a 100% clear. About dying from stargazing, my guess is: he fell of a platform because he was looking up and didn't notice a step. About Su-metal's stage presence. I think what helped is that Suzuka started in entertainment at age 3. She was modeling stuff for kids. Basically she doesn't know anything else but being in the spot light. Actually, it almost seems like the bigger the stage the more excited she is ! :-) You watched X-Japan performance at Tokyo Dome and at the end of 2015 Babymetal announced they would perform at the same venue. The girls were unsure if they were even ready, in 2016 they toured the world, some of their biggest crowds at metal/rock festivals. And at the end of the tour their was Tokyo Dome. They were nervous, it's a big deal in Japan, but after the show they realized: you know, compared to the festivals Tokyo Dome isn't even that big of a crowd. No it was never disclosed what Yuimetal's health issue was, but the best speculation we have which has based in some fact is she might have a back pain issue (her last performance she might have been wearing a brace). Which means she can probably function normally now for anything else, but not tour with Babymetal anymore which is very chalanging phsically. 43:00 I think this is a detail which is kind of wrong, I've never seen anyone at Legend S in Japan complain about Yuimetal's absence (people assumed/hoped it was temporary). It was the reception at the first show of the world tour which had a strange atmosphere. 44:15 yes, but at the time fans were just worried about Yuimetal and their was lots of confusion/uncertainty among fans. So it wasn't good timing. 45:23 personally (my own opinion/speculation) the way she phrased her Babymetal leaving messsage my guess is she will pursue an acting career again, she used to be a child actor. 53:41 when we are on the subject of X-Japan, this is also where Babymetal and Yoshiki first collaborated, the closing song for the evening was an X-Japan song which had a collaboration of groups from Japan and around the world, which included Yoshiki and Queen and Babymetal and others. A video of this exists on the official Queen TH-cam channel. The X-Japan song is Endless Rain. My guess is if you want to react to it you would need to put a lot of logo, transparancy on it. Otherwise immediately blocked. This was an end of year international broadcast performance. Dec 2020 was a hard year, so it's a ballad type song with, I think, an encouragement twist in the lyrics.
⚡ 💀 💕 For the last few years, Su has been rocking Zara embossed ankle boots in concert. They have heels. The Doc Marten's Leytons the other members (and later "avengers") wear are pretty flat. That, plus Su's high ponytail hairstyle accounts for much of the apparent height difference. Of course when they were younger, Su had more of a natural height advantage over Yui and Moa. Yui joined Amuse, Inc in 2007 (not 2010), the same year as Su and Moa. She was in the Amuse Kids division for some time before joining Sakura Gakuin. There is info on her Japanese Wikipedia page, and she used to have earlier agency credits for TV and modeling appearances on her Amuse, Inc. artist page before it was revised. I wish the guide had talked a little bit about the connection with the neck brace (neck corset) and Yoshiki, the drummer, pianist & composer from X Japan. He head banged so much while drumming, that he had to wear a neck brace to try and mimimize further injury. There are a lot of tributes to X Japan in BABYMETAL lyrics, choreography and staging. The BABYMETAL team are big fans of that ground breaking Metal/visual-kei group. The "We are…" shout at the end of the concerts and striking the huge gong are both X Japan references. The final line of the BABYMETAL song 'No Rain, No Rainbow' is: "An endless rain fills my heart, forever." 'Endless Rain' was a huge hit for X Japan. It also prominently features a piano. The supporting dancer at the last 25 BABYMETAL appearances has been Momoko Okazaki, including all 10 of the 2021 concerts at Nippon Budokan. After the final Budokan concert, she was a contestant on the KPop Idol survival show Girls Planet 999, although her group didn't make it into the finals. Of course no one knows what BABYMETAL will look like on stage once they are "unsealed" in the future, or what kind of supporting dancers Su and Moa might have when they return. My guess would be a new group of dancers, rather than any of the last three "avengers".
If you are interested The 10 year anniversary interviews are on Reddit. They are solo interviews with Kobametal, Su-Metal and Moametal. There are facts brought out that had not been reveled. Such as Moa taught the Avengers the dances, who was the Leader, and that they were selected for the Heavy Music Club, they did not volunteer. As for Yui, the only thing we know that may caused her to leave the band is she fell off the stage at one concert. While she did continue to perform there were signs that she was on medication. Also her being pulled from performing at the last minute. Moa maintained straight A's in school throughout her time in Sakura Gakuin, her Mother required her keep her grades up when she started singing and dance training. Last thing, there was no plan for an international touring "metal" band when the Heavy Music Club was created. The thought was the girls would graduate from Sakura Gakuin and go into Show Business in Japan. Obviously the Fox God had other plans.
I believe the heights given are from when they'd grown up . In the early days Yui and Moa were deffo under 5 feet. Love this video and glad you enjoyed this . Definitely helps explain many future vids that you will see. 🦊🦊💥🦊🦊
@@joopboom4119 The Fox God (AMUSE, the talent/production company), protected them. They were kids. it is entirely appropriate (and commendable) that Babymetal's handlers protected their privacy. It is a unique situation. Artists so young captivating the world. If a young person wants out, no matter the reason, it is their decision. Imagine if you were following a girl's high school basketball team and one of the star players had to stop playing for health reasons. Would you want people to speculate on what led to it? Yui left, she issued a statement. We will be forever grateful for her performances, but move on.
@@GlassMoonGaming You seem interested in Yui: The scuttlebutt within the music industry in Japan (in which I work) is that Yui's family said enough is enough---she had a bad back and they were propping her up on stage with a back-brace and pain-killers. Some commenters make it sound as if Yui has dropped off the face of the earth---she has been sighted in Tokyo and neighboring Kanagawa Prefecture, where she's from, in the cities of Kawasaki and Yokohama. That said, her privacy has been respected.
Hope that answers some off your questions. Great reaction and it does go quick it's that interesting . There story should be made into a movie, but dont let Hollywood do it 🤣🤘😁🤘
My introduction to Babymetal was a fan-made video of Babymetal Death live at Wembley. I absolutely had no idea what was going on there, but somehow loved it immediately...
One little detail: the reason Su seems to tower over the other two in most performances is that she wears shoes with taller heels to exaggerate her height and the others don't. Also, her hair style adds a sense of more height on top of that. There has been so much speculation about Yui's departure. Where my thinking starts and ends is that the members of Babymetal have a lifestyle and physical fitness requirement like professional gymnasts. All it would take is a back or joint problem that would be aggravated too much by the typical touring schedule, and their intense choreography is exactly the kind of thing that can cause such injuries, especially when they started at such a young age. We will probably never know the truth, but that seems the most plausible to me.
The heels and hair make sense these days! I would guess you are probably on to something with your speculation, but truthfully, only the Fox God knows, and I'm fine with that . Thanks!
@@GlassMoonGaming Yui’s last performance at the Big Fox Festival she seemed to be wearing a back brace under her corset. She also seemed not as fluid in her dancing. She also looked more puffy in the face compared to just earlier this year. That puffiness is a common effect from steroid treatment. If I had to bet she had a back injury or problem if some sort. Just wish we knew what she was doing. Yui still is on the Amuse performers page.
they open as a no one band. no one know who they are and they follow the journey from that too the miracle at sonisphere, with the girls looking through the curtain and seeing no one, to suddenly realising that the have 55k people in the crowd. You couldn't even write this, it is special.
Can I also add the fucking balls on Moa just to say she would perform without Yui are huge. I don't doubt the call was down to her. And, to have the dick to go and perform alone for her man I love her.
Are you implying that Fujioka was under influence or something like that? That is most disrespecful, if you're not familiar with stargazing platforms and telescope observation sites, check your wikis.
I'm saying, as an Emergency Responder who hears dispatches all day, every day, that a "stargazing incident" is a strange cause of death and leaves a LOT to the imagination. If the report was that he fell from a stargazing platform or telescope observation sites (btw, one of the top observation sites in the US is located like 20 miles from my house, so yes, I'm at least a little familiar), then the report would make sense from a medical standpoint. I wouldn't have implied anything about his condition because all that was told in the video was basically that he was watching stars and died. The way it was reported, and knowing there had to be more to it than just that, is what's confusing. Once it was explained with further detail, it made sense. On a side note, wikis are only as accurate as the people who put the information there in the first place, just saying. Thanks for the comment.
Mikio's death via stargazing was due to falling from the top of a building. I don't know if any more details have ever been released (the building's height, who was with him, which building was it, was he sober, etc.) but I don't need to know. As far as Yui goes, all that's ever been said is that she had an undisclosed health issue. I've seen a ton of rumor mongering ranging from back issues to Koba had her killed after an altercation to she left due to being impregnated while underage by a member of BMTH. Apparently these things are"obvious" if you "read between the lines" or "know where to look," two things I must be bad at because I don't see it. Or maybe I don't make up wild, unsubstantiated shit and then believe it. I'm curious, where did you order the Blu-rays from? We've been talking about adding more Babymetal and Wagakki Band Blu-rays to our collection, but I'm unsure of the best place to get that kind of merch for either group. CDJapan is a good place, but I'd rather shop around and get the best prices.
Thanks for al that info. I'm with you on the speculations, ultimately, only the Fox God knows what really happened and I'm fine with that. As for the Blu-rays, I actually ordered them thru Amazon, my own affiliate links in the description of the video, actually (LOL). I looked at CDJapan and when you included some of the duty fees and shipping fees to the US, they ended up being cheaper on Amazon, not to mention that one of them was covered under Prime! Hope that helps and good luck with your search!
Post 10-year Anniversary/ Covid Era Part 2 (May 2021-Current) The band is stepping back from live shows due to the Covid-19 Pandemic and focusing on the sale of Merch. Don't let stupid fans fool you the band is not on hiatus or ending. They are idiots and deserves to be made fun of. Momoko had a very very short stint in a Korean Idol Competition Show called Planet 99. She performed perfectly, better than most of the other girls in the show. She even got the most votes in a small side competition destroying all other 98 girls in the show in votes. This won her some hair dye (She was blonde for a bit). Ultimately be it dumb BM fans thinking the side competition was the actual competition, how the judging was heavily skewed to Korean voters, the fact that her fate was tied to 2 other girls one Korean and one Chinese, and or possibly ridged voting something the company producing the show has done in the past, Momoko was eliminated in the very first round. BM's producer Kei Kobayashi also put out a biography in early September, and all proceeds will go to the Babymetal team not for himself. Once again don't let even more idiot fans fool you the band isn't going broke... This fandom is filled with a lot of them sadly. Recently since April 2022 they've been putting out very tiny snippets of new songs in the work sadly these are just a few second instrumentals.
Thanks for the comment! I tend to take in all opinions and then use them to come up with my own. Ultimately, though, in this case, only the Fox God knows!
Glad you picked the Crypticmisery guide, despite it being long, I’ll grab a coffee and will enjoy it for sure. I know it is a lot to take in but if you watch the guide a couple of times, you will get all the little details. Great that you got your first DVDs now, looking forward to watching them with you! Btw I wonder how many times you said "awesome" in your reaction xd. I don't know why SG disbanded in 2021 but I assume it was due to the lack of new members and a decrease in interest for idol groups in that format in general. And no, no information was released regarding Yui's health issues. Japan is very restrictive when it comes to private information in general, so it isn't something out of the ordinary to not publish those types of info. Yui completely disappeared from the public except for her note in the 10th-anniversary book of SG. Su and Moa have confirmed a couple of times tho, that they are still in contact with her and that she is doing well. That is all we know and everything else is just speculation and rumors. She is still listed as an artist on the Amuse website tho. Babymetal is still on hiatus but they started to release snippets of new songs on "The Other One". The meaning of "Stairway to Living Legend" was just the announcement of their hiatus (and the video is a stripped-down version of "The One", aka an "unfinished" version) The lore around BM is truly something else and as Cryptic said, a full video on that would be another 1 hour video =)
This is a lot of information to take in but very important in order to understand everything. Let me know your thoughts. Don't forget to Like and Subscribe! Check out the NEW Amazon links in the description!
Something not mentioned in the guide, the hand signs and all their lore about the fox god was actually based on a misunderstanding of the girls. They were trying to do the sign of the horns, but they said: looks like a shadow fox.
I think the underlying idea is similar to this interview answer by Kobametal:
What was the inspiration for creating something so different?
The loss of a great musician is always felt throughout all music. Thanks!

Also, we don't know who the third Babymetal will be, but many fans think that Momoko
is the most deserved. I hope so. Or do they leave the two of them alone and have a support dancer with them, which is also "Only The Fox God Knows."
Welcome and thanks for all the info! Can't wait until they come back. It will be Epic indeed. Thanks!
Yeah, I'd imagine something like that. Only the Fox God truly knows!
Excellent content and reaction, so good to see you with this guide. It looks like all the questions you had have been answered in the comments already, so I'll just look forward to you continuing your journey 🤘🦊🤘
Thanks! I can't wait to continue this journey! 🤘🦊🤘
👍 well done.
In reference to Mikio’s tragic death he fell off of an observation platform and succumbed to his injuries a few days later. Nothing nefarious behind it just a terrible accident.
That certainly explains things a lot better than just "stargazing accident" LOL Thanks!
official news state that Mikio fell from a high platform / observation deck. very sad. such talent.
That totally makes sense then. Thanks!
Lots of mysteries still not answered in Babymetal.

Thanks so much! I've given in to the fact that "Only the Fox God knows" the truth about what happened with Yui, and I'm good with that :) Thanks!
Thanks! I definitely plan on doing both of them and that is where I will get them from for sure. Thanks again!
Thank you for watching this long video with such enthusiasm. I look forward to seeing more of your reactions🤘🦊
Long videos are fine if they can keep me interested. I didn't lose interest in this for a second. It was great! Thanks! 🤘🦊🤘
This is good video to explain Babymetal and the girls background, but your right it is a little older and there are updates for the years following this video.
Thanks!
☕ 😎 coffee time!
Nice!
By the way, the "correct" term for BD or DVD is "DeLorean". Don't worry, you will find why at some point 🤣
DeLorean is a new one for me regarding BD and DVD. Should be interesting to find out. LOL Thanks
(so is diffrent from 'AKB etc')
The members act an idolunit and learn a lot of catgorys'skill (singging, dancing, talking. etc) by professionals of Amuse. (with acting for TV. Movies. etc )
The members have to graduate the unit on 15years old and transfer the specific section (actor, musician.etc) in Amuse.(Almost members become an actor.)
Thanks for the background on how it all works!
Thank you so much for uploading a wonderful video . l always feel happy when l see your smile ! torima mosh’sh ! From 🇯🇵
Thanks so much!
Thanks for all that!
Long live music! Glad to hear you regained your belief! 🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼

@@GlassMoonGaming you are in for a great musical journey. I wish I could go back and experience it all again, just like the first time.
See You
Thanks for all that info! It's tasty! Thanks!
Did Yui have a fall from the stage in her second or third last show? I know she fell, but I am not sure when it was.
@@lencooke944 She fell off the stage at the Budokan Red Night (first of two nights) in March 2014. The chances of that fall being the cause of the health issues that led to her leaving the band 3.5 to 4.5 years later are very slim.
@@lencooke944 It was at Budokan in 2014 where she fell 10 feet off of the stage.

Have fun! 🤘🦊🤘🌸🌸🌸🌸
I have a few on my list. Definitely will be interesting. LOL 🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼
I think the surprise graduation party for Suzuka given by her fellow classmates and Suzuka’s graduation speech are both worthy of reacting to as well.
@@rah2287 definitely emotional with Su's grad, but for me the acoustic version of "Friends" sung by Nene, Marina to the rest of the class, and seeing Yui and Moa openly crying a dear vid to my heart.
Understood.
If i may "push" for a few musics... "Trilogy Of Light" (Starlight / Shine / Arkadia)... beautiful tribute to Mikio's passing.
Definitely plan on doing that trilogy as well! Stay tuned!
Yeah, I like this video, too. But I think it's better with your comments because I like knowing if you're thinking what I'm thinking about the girls.
Thanks! 🤘🦊🤘
The final eight members all graduated when Sakura Gakuin was disbanded on August 31, 2021.
The disbandment was announced about a year before that.
Dude! 46:14 got me looking thru like 100 tabs for that notification 😂

MOI MOI!
Great reaction mate! Thank you for watching this 40+ minutes guide, again thanks to CrypticMisery for all the hard work in making this guide. Love it.
It was a great guide indeed and I 2nd your thanks to CrypticMisery!
What a good reaction.
Glad you watched this. It answers a lot.
You mentioned the height difference between Su-metal and Moametal/Yuimetal.
Su-metal wears 2 inch lifts, in her performance boots.😉
🤘🦊🤘💙💙💙
Definitely explains a lot! Thanks!
Thanks for this reaction, I hope you learned a lot more.
The gap between the height of the girls is obviously because they were younger then than they were when the guide was created. Moa even was taller at some point than Yui, she revealed what her secret weapon was: growth spurt ! :-)
Seriously, while the guide is very clear on a details, a few aren't actually fully known the in exact details, for example did Kobametal have the idea of Babymetal before seeing Suzuka perform or not.
Thanks for all that information! Really appreciate it!
⚡ 💀 💕
For the last few years, Su has been rocking Zara embossed ankle boots in concert.
The final line of the BABYMETAL song 'No Rain, No Rainbow' is:
"An endless rain fills my heart, forever."
'Endless Rain' was a huge hit for X Japan.
Thanks for all that information!
Best errata comment.
I'm a big fan of Yui(metal)Mizuno😔🤘🏻🍅
I think we all are!
Thank god the Fox God intervened eh? Thanks for all that!
Search for this "Yuimetal Explains Why She Left Babymetal" on youtube. LoudWire has a video about that. A bit criptic, anyway.

I believe the heights given are from when they'd grown up . In the early days Yui and Moa were deffo under 5 feet.

To answe your question: No. It was never disclosed what the health issue was. In fact, to this day Yui has not appeared in public again.
Alien abduction?
I find it uncanny, really.
It's perfectly accurate to say: "Only the Fox God knows". I'm fine with that. :)
I Love them

First! :D
LOL WooHoo!
My introduction to Babymetal was a fan-made video of Babymetal Death live at Wembley. I absolutely had no idea what was going on there, but somehow loved it immediately...
Thanks!
The story of Babymetal always makes me tear up. The Yui leaving part makes me cry like a little girl lol. I am a 36 year old man btw.
LoL no worries. I have 10 years on ya and I know the feeling. Thanks! 🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼
@@GlassMoonGaming This will be a movie one day I know it.
they open as a no one band. no one know who they are and they follow the journey from that too the miracle at sonisphere, with the girls looking through the curtain and seeing no one, to suddenly realising that the have 55k people in the crowd.
Post 10-year Anniversary/ Covid Era Part 2 (May 2021-Current)
The band is stepping back from live shows due to the Covid-19 Pandemic and focusing on the sale of Merch.

The meaning of "Stairway to Living Legend" was just the announcement of their hiatus (and the video is a stripped-down version of "The One", aka an "unfinished" version)
The lore around BM is truly something else and as Cryptic said, a full video on that would be another 1 hour video =)
