myself and wife have been threatened by doctors for asking questions. I have seen bad things been done to other people. They tried to give me electric therapy against my will for asking what tablets they are given. Didnt like being treated differently to ordinary people in the system. So I got out of it but I am dealing with on my own. It is tough but I am not going back into that health system.

I’ve been working in a mental health hospital in England for the past 3 years and it’s my dream to come home and become a psychiatric nurse and help those who need it. Everybody suffers with mental health even if you think you don’t. My fathers 100% Irish and I love and admire and passion of Irish people, however mental health can affect you and you’re not different or alone if you have minor blips on your life. It’s normal and the strength to try and tackle that on your own is a feat in itself. People need to know that there are services and people there for you in times of crisis. And my wish is to come and do my part to educate people about mental health and the more we know The better off we’ll all be

Waiting lists for up to 18 month? incompetent staff that gives you advise such as "have you tried reaching out to god?". Suicidal people in crisis who been sent away from the hospital and later that day found dead floating in the river Corrib. Where the fuck is this "help" you people keep talking about while nothing gets done. We dont need your "education" we need actual care

Not even joking with you were I talked to a doctor today and he wanted to hang up on me. 45 quid for a 2 minute phone call even tho I have disability allowance payment which means I am entitled to free medical service. Because no one will help me with applying for the medical card I still have to pay. (You’re entitled to a medical card if you’re on disability) It makes no sense. The last appointment with a psych I had she wanted I could tell she wanted to stop talking to me after 5 minutes. I’ve gave up mate, no one wants to help me

But I chose to not wait for that anymore. I wish you all the possibly best. And believe me… sometimes not talking is better than feeling misunderstood or even belittled or brushed off by a “professional” All the best
