Yeah it is pretty neat.
Though his set up is accurate since you need multiple decks built.
If he was a character later on, he would have probably used Chemicritters.
His archetype is "I can teach a College level Course, *as a College Age Student*"
Even though Konami not making a proper Water Dragon Deck and NEVER making the Fire Dragon a real card was an absolute drop.

Penn leaf bastion was genius and badass duelist with great potential indeed he is but sadly characters and writers of gx treated him poorly and has less respect for him and treated him like joke it felt like he was born in wrong series I believe he Would have fit right in among the geniuses of Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's and received much more respect acknowledgment and treating him good and never treated him like joke

Well since all of his decks are science themed with his water deck being bonding of elements and his Earth deck being the ionic charge of elements, then I’d believe his other 4 decks would follow a similar trend. Just as an idea
Fire- melting point of elements where he utilizes the metallic periodic elements and uses a field spell where the temperature rises and certain monsters can survive as their melting point are high enough to resist heat
Wind- life forms. Note that Oxygeddon is a wind attribute which could also play to some more bonding, but instead it relates to pure winds with it being a more natural change without a bonding gimmick as many elements like carbon and helium have low melting points so they exist as gases.
Light/Dark-I feel like these decks could have been used in season 2 and 3 with the over usage of light and dark in those storylines, but should we go with a scientific approach I feel like they could be one deck. Here’s the thing, light is an offset part of energy, so this deck’s gimmick could be that all monsters are dark attributed as that’s what things originated from, but upon an energy release card it’ll turn into a light attribute monster.
Just my ideas of what his other decks would have been.

@@szabok1999 he does, but once again, i'm pretty sure he's stuck in the background to make way fo the new characters in season 4, along with Chazz and Astor helping more than the others. Zane doesn't even appear much in season 4.
Sad how Bastion went from one of the more interesting characters in this series to one that might as well have disappeared.

I don't what's funnier, the shade Banner throws at Crowler, or that the moment he does is the most rewatched in this episode. Also, I can't believe it took me until just now to realize Bastion's VA is the same as James from the earlier seasons of Pokemon. Also, something else I think is interesting, Eric Stuart also did the english voice of Dr. Z from Dinosaur King, which I just think is neat because of Bastion's chemical dinosaurs.

How many Duelist copied decks from the original... so far we've had a Red eyes and Amazon deck copies
Chaos Galaxy well that's not strictly true. Mai used some Amazoness cards but they were mixed in with her Harpies. Joey used red eyes but he used maybe 6 cards as support for it so these archetypes weren't properly explored or developed until the GX era

Man I hated how bastion was treated badly and mocked in show this episode was beginning of bastion from grace he was once The top student in Ra Yellow and the smartest student at Duel Academy... at least before a disturbing romantic rendezvous in mid-Season 1; his shtick in Season 2 changed from being a genius to being forgotten by all the characters including his supposed friends and even ignored by society of light what worse people start forgetting he's even there or exist honestly bastion is one of my favorite character in gx but Bastion decrease role and poor treatment in gx is what I call they wasted perfectly good character its relevance and potential Poor bastion I felt he exist in wrong series that have no respect appreciation and acknowledgment for him wished he would fit 5ds series and geniuses and receive more respect appreciation and acknowledgment his dueling style and being brilliant strategist tactician and duelist would being right Home in 5ds series and he would invaluable friend and ally to team 5ds including yusei and even Bruno his potential would be realized

Hold on a second... If Power Off is a Quick-Play Spell, Bastion could have used it right after attacking with his Conduction Warrior to split it up back into 2 Magnet Warriors.
Since Tania didn´t have any more Spell or Traps left, Bastion could have attacked with them (one to destroy Amazoness Swordswoman, the other for a a direct attack) and he would have won the damn Duel.
Either he was truly blinded by love or the GX writers actually wanted Bastion to lose all the time. What a shame...
Yeah he messed up big there. Not sure what plan he had before getting infatuated but he missed the win big
One nice detail I like is the part where Tonya is asking where the males are and Jayden, Chaz, and Bastion are volunteering while Banner is just standing aside in the background. Upon a first watch you could see it as a joke but foreshadowing of what’s to come.
