I install the Moto Guzzi chrome luggage rack on my 2022 Moto Guzzi V7 850 Special. This is an easy accessory to install, requires only a few tools and can be done in less than 30 minutes.
Racks can sometimes look a bit like scaffolding and spoil the lines of a bike, but that's a nice design which suits the bike well. The chrome finish looks like it belongs on the Special and it's nice the way it tapers over the tail light. 👍
I agree. This rack is a part from Moto Guzzi's accessory line and the way it is integrated into the bike is the best of the racks that are available for the V7 in my opinion. The rack looks like it belongs on the bike.

there is a shaft that the upper shock mount fits over, installing the rack doesn't affect the shock other than the front rack mounts being a retainer for the shock. So, no need to lift the rear of the bike and no need to worry about the springs.

Nice video. I have the engine guards on my 2021 V7, which I had installed at Manic Moto when I got it. I've been thinking of getting some saddlebags/luggage for it.
I have the engine guards on order, I think it's a good idea to have them since the engine is the first thing making contact if the bike falls over. I have a set of Hepco and Becker saddle bags on order for my V7 Special. The black Legacy canvas bags and black C bow kit are special order from Germany so I don't know how long it'll take to get? I'll do an install video when I get them, I've looked at the installation instructions and it doesn't look too difficult.
@@danielreigada1542 I ordered them from AF1 Racing. I think they're shown as special order with a 4 week delivery time? I ordered the medium bags vs the large bags because I thought they'd look sportier and I have no plans to take any long trips on the bike.
If I could own any motorcycleI I want it would be the blue V7 special and I would want to install a luggage rack so I could mount a small tour trunk for trips. But due to my wife's health issues (she's battled cancer eight times) we had to go to a trike.
I'm sorry for your wife's condition. It takes courage and strength from the patient and spouse to battle cancer. I hope you and your wife enjoy the trike, sometimes we have to make adjustments.
I wish my oem rack had fitted so easily, it was so out of square it was a nightmare, ratchet straps were needed to hold it into shape. I must have had a Friday afternoon one.
Oh man, I hate when I get stuck with something like that and I've had that experience before. I was fortunate, my rack fit perfectly. I hope you got yours installed and it looks right.

Hey, great video, im going to do this myself. Did you need to lift the rear to pull the shock screw off? Are the springs under pressure?

Derek to set the clock use the mode button. Select clock and then hold the mode button until the time flashes. Use the mode button to enter the time.
