9:40 - that wasn't a half-bad plague ogryn fight! For a new player, that was pretty smooth. When his head goes down and he goes into a charge, you have to block that, you can't dodge it. You did pretty good dodging like 80% of his attacks. You do more damage against big boys like that with heavy attacks, so getting the hang of heavy attacks would be a good idea. And yes, there are more monstrosities, all with their own strengths, weaknesses and different tactics you need vs them. The absolute worst to fight against as a zealot is the Beast of Nurgle, that's basically a ranged damage only fight since it can swallow you whole and digest you if you try and fight it in melee. The zealot in that fight turns into a janitor, taking out the trash mobs so the rest of the group can focus on the boss. For me, the most fun to fight as a zealot is the Chaos Spawn. Very complicated attack patterns, it's extremely hard to read it to tell when to block, when to dodge and when to attack, but when you get it right it feels glorious. Your love of the heavy melee weapons is hilarious, you're definitely a zealot after my own heart in that respect. My favorite zealot weapon is the new one that just got released a week ago, the relic greatsword. It's pretty dope. There are zealots who swear by the dagger as it gives you the highest movement speed and the most dodge distance so you can fly across the map like sonic the hedgehog, twice the speed of anyone else in the group, but that ain't me. Gimme my heavy bonk-stick or bonk-blade. And yeah, to unlock all the weapons just keep playing. I'd highly recommend upping the difficulty as well now you have the basic mechanics down, even if they're not muscle memory yet. You can definitely reliably do difficulty 2, and maybe even 3 if you push yourself.
Hey thanks! I was trying to do ya proud with that plague ogryn fight haha. Definitely getting a hang of the dodge. Block is definitely something I never use so I need to form the muscle memory for that. I can almost guarantee I'll run straight into the beast of nurgle and at the last second ill be like "OH NO I FORGOT" and get eaten - which sounds terrifying and hilarious haha. I'm definitely more of a big bonk go night night kinda guy for sure. The dagger is fun, but doesn't scratch the same itch. Ok I'll definitely look at upping the difficulty! I didn't even know there was a difficulty slider so now I'm interested! Thank you again for tuning in. Reading these comments genuinely makes my day!
29:52 as far as games for 40k. Dawn of war is the tantamount 40k game. Space Marine and it's sequel, Rogue Trader is a CRPG that is quite good. Inquisitor Martyr is essentially Diablo 40k. Darktide is still my favorite.
Medicae stations have a limited number of charges, it doesn’t matter when somebody uses them. That’s what the four lights on the front denote, blue is a charge, red is not. You don’t have to wait for others to use a charge.
For the blessing unlocks in the mastery for weapons, usually the ones that give strength, damage, crit chance, finesse or brittleness/rending are good. I would avoid anything with impact since its pretty much useless.
Definitely use your block more. Utilize the special attack on your power maul on single elite targets. It is more effective on staggering large enemies and deals extra damage. Every weapon has various attack patterns for light and heavy attacks. Understanding those is also helpful.
I definitely don't block enough, so that's my next focus to get better at for sure. And I'll remember that about the special attack! Does the advanced training teach more about the attack patterns or is that more trial and error?
Relic Blade is my go-to weapon for Zealot and Thunder Hammer for the missions with the Specialists being able to spawn as weak Monstrosities. Try to get the melee weapon to hit the head of the enemies for extra damage. Owlcat's Rogue Trader is the only other WH40K game that I've played
and regarding the Zealot grenades/"blitzes", Immolation grenades are good at a chokepoint to kill hordes coming through it, throwing knifes are good for taking disablers/specialist enemies out without having to swap to a ranged weapon and stuns are really only useful for saving downed teammates
I wanna try the relic blade and thunder hammer SO BAD! I also think Rogue Trader will be my next game once I finish my Boltgun playthrough. Thank you for letting me know about the grenades, if I ever swap talents I'll remember this!
Since you’re playing a melee centric build, start pinging enemies that are too far away, snipers, gunners, mutants and bursters to have your teammates deal with it! Good video as always ❤️
That lantern detail as you called it at 17:48 is a "heretical idol". You need to shoot them haha.
OMG ARE YOU SERIOUS hahaha

I own all of those! So I'll definitely be playing them on my channel. Darktide is definitely starting to take over as my favorite for sure.
Some weapons are restricted by level but you can go to the armory and under brunts armory you can purchase any weapon.
Thanks for clarifying and thanks for tuning in!
more darktide, need double the back to back videos
Glad you're enjoying them! It's such an amazing game. If I had the time I'd love to do more haha

3:40 you know that Dunderheads is an actual phrase, not a made up 40k one?
I am not a native eng speakr so .... WHAT ? :D
Well, now I know! lol
Love this game since they put it on ps5. Definitely need a group to play with
Send me them friend codes!

Ya pinging is still something I need to get used to, same with sticking to my teammates lol
For zealot u should try flamethrower and duelling sword
Ooooo I'll remember that! I need to reuse the flamer again
Tip: stay together for coherence
Oh ya I totally forgot about that! Thanks for tuning in and commenting!
Play Ogryn. Ogryn is strongest, Ogryn good, Ogryn not small.
Ogryn seem fun
@akabreadley Ogryn not fast, maybe you small one don't like not fast.
I'm okay with slow Ogryn!
