  • This is a short video of me playing the Adam Smasher fight with the mod "Enemies of Nightcity" made by ‪@shine02315‬. In this playthrough i have a maxed out V with thousands of perkpoints spent in total. In addition i have a very punchy Malorian 3516 and a busted Projectile Launch System.
    If a list of the mods used in this footage is needed, i'll provide it in the comment section.

    It's looks like Lore Accurate V fighting with anime version Adam Smasher.
    Really shows how V was stronger than David.

      What a ridiculous comment. CDPR had to develop a whole game while modders just improve the little parts that wouldn't even exist without the work of the developers.

    Sweet. I'm approaching Smasher in my second playthrough and even with SDO, TDO, relative armor altering mods and a mod that adds additional Sandevistans also set to drain 50% max HP per use, he was still too easy on my first run.
    EoNC seems to make him actually use his Sandevistan more from this footage.

      Definitely recommend doing a playthrough with Enemies of Nightcity. The bosses are actually challenging and fun to beat. Oda's & Smasher's abilities are actually dangerous and neither of them are to be trifled with.
      Spice it up with some mods like Toxicity and maybe something a bit overpowered like Projectile Launch System Rebalanced and Malorian Stats Fix ;)

    People used to be rushing, spamming, and mashing on Adam Smasher before this mod came to fruition. But now...... thanks to this mod, you actually have to keep some distance to fight him without getting fvked by his Sandevistan 😂🤣😂🤣

      I never noticed that Smasher dodged all of those shots. I was most likely panicking when he ludged at me and just sprayed and prayed :D

    Could you even imagine fighting someone like V goddamn borg out wolverine even if you hurt them you just see the wound heal instantly before they turn to a blur then your heads rolling on the floor lmao

    Have you tried the Radar Love gig? I think it's the most difficult gig in the mod right now. Lots of enemies, and a centaur miniboss. I haven't actually playtested it myself so I'm curious to see how it goes

      I did play it, it was awesome. The last two guys on the mechs did take a lot of bullets, explosives and time to kill, but it was definitely fun.

    I'm getting the itch to play this game again with a difficulty mod and this seems right up my alley. Did you add any mods that remove stat caps, level cap or did you keep the default leveling system?

      I did use a mod called Skillful which allows you to advance skills even if their associated attribute is low.
      I also used the basic CET console to give myself attribute points and perk points. Thus the V in this playthrough was essentially maxed out completely.
      Even tho it certainly made some aspects of the game very easy. The combat of the run wasn't hurt due to certain mods like the obvious one, Enemies of Night City. I also used a mod called toxicity which punishes the player for relying on basic health items too much and encourages you to use cyberware which heals you instead of popping 10 boosters every time you take damage.
      Enemies of Night City definitely makes the main missions & gigs a lot more difficult. Powerful enemies are much more common in gangs and in general roam the world. The biggest thing about this mod imo are the bosses, especially Smasher. Rushing the main missions and story will bite you in the ass if you haven't leveled up and gotten good weapons and cyberware.
      I'd definitely recommend playing with some of the mods I've used. The gameplay experience was on a whole other level and is certainly punishing at times, but also fun.

    Are the moments where you kinda teleport after you take that drug early on and glitch out and just appear somewhere gameplay things or are they jump cuts you put in to make it feel like the fight lasted longer but we got to see the highlights?

      The cuts were used to make scenes flow a little bit better. At certain parts of the fight i goofed up and thus cut these parts out to make the video seem more "cinematic".

    Idea: his ICE shouldnt be "any answer is correct" it should LOOK LIKE normal ice, but the answer that's normally right is wrong, and the correct answer is just random, only reason i say that is that uhh... If smasher was that easy to hack, he wouldnt be *the* cyberpunk villain, someone would've just short circuited him out eventually.

      No. I do not have any mods that would cause Cyberpsyhosis such as the "Wannabe Edgerunner - A simple Cyberpsychosis mod"
      Enemies of Nightcity also doesn't cause Cyberpsychosis to the player as far as i'm aware, so i'm not entirely sure what you're talking about.

      @@zakk3le598 V can't have Cyberpsychosis because he has condition (Relic in his head) which is much worse, than any dramatic Cyberpsychosis. So V is essentially immune to it anyway. I guess this hype for Cyberpsychosis indeed came from anime MIDrunners.

      @@MrZlocktar Since CDPR is implementing a cyberware limit for V in Phantom Liberty I would say V isn't completely immune, but rather an extraordinary case. Most likely base V already has a very high cyberware tolerance and later of course has the Relic in their neural port.
      CDPR stated that going over the cyberware limit would cause negative effects for V. With that being said V is an exceptional person when it comes to cyberware, but i wouldn't call V immune. V just happens to have the perfect circumstances to circumvent the majority of the negative effects of having a lot of cyberware installed on their body.

    dude, how do you manage to do such absurd ammounts of damage? I have a full cool silenced pistol + throwing knives, lvl 50 V with a cool cyberware but still even when undetected and freakin putting a knife in the enemy's skull I only do less than 1k damage or around it.... you are on Combat, not even hiting his head and still doing absurd 2k to 9k damage, how?

      I was probably using a mod to boost the Malorian 3516's damage. Same goes for the Projectile Launch System. I was also using a mod to increase the damage on it. Also this fight was recorded in 1.63 so the damage values could be very different given how much Patch 2.0 changed.

      @@zakk3le598 ohhhh i see, because i am Bashing my head onto the keyboard, I see tons of videos of people doing some crazy "agressive stealth combat" they running all over and undetected, throwing knives doing 12k damage and stuff, while i do the same and get below 1k, starting to think it was a skill issue but couldnt be since i was doing exactly the same, would like to have a mod that allows you to kill someone when you clearly stuck deep a fuckin knife in their skull, fuckin NPC have a knife stuck on their heads and dont die.

      It is the default explosive with the exception that I'm using a mod that changes the Projectile Launch System. More specifically I've made the launcher at a lot more powerful by changing the explosion damage values.

      @@siri4689 The mod I'm using is called "Projectile Launch System Rebalanced". Indeed I've cranked the damage values to the max tho the blast range is pretty normal.

      This was played on an older patch with the mod Enemies of Night City. Smasher's health was also set to 3 or 4 times his regular health. Also i used a mod that makes the Malorian 3516 a cannon. Same goes for the Projectile Launch System. I used a mod to make the damage values insanely high to make it actually viable to use. Whilst it was able to obliterate regular fodder enemies, it still barely did any significant damage to bosses. As for quickhacks, since this was played on an older patch, the damage values were different. Also Cold Blood most likely was a contributing factor. And to top it all off, the V used in this playthrough was completely maxed out at 5x 20 with thousands of perk points spent in total.

      @@zakk3le598 I am definitely questioning how balanced this EoNC mod is if you needed all that to beat Smasher in a reasonable amount of time. Still, I think his attack patterns are way cooler here.

      @@CheekiTiki Smasher in the EoNC mod can have up to 6 times his original health. On top of that he is able to regain health. Not past his phases of course. Even with an OP set-up and guns, it still takes quite a while to damage Smasher. Especially if his health regeneration is turned on and if he has the max amount of health.
      Also given how he is much more dangerous and aggressive with this mod it made sense to use more powerful variations of guns and cyberware. Not to say that it would be impossible to beat Smasher with a regular arsenal.
      I have done this fight with Smasher's health regen turned with max hp and it takes quite a while to beat him. Definitely challenging as it took probably close to 10 to 15 minutes. And given how dangerous Smasher is with this mod. Usually if he landed a few good hits on you, you'd have to heal for a while all the while Smasher is chasing and attacking you AND regenerating health.
      Not impossible, but very challenging.

      @@zakk3le598 This is sort of what I'm getting at. If OP min/maxed builds still take such a long time, I'm thinking the they might have overdone the health/regen. I tend to dislike beefy health bars on bosses because it usually makes the fight repetitive.
      That said, if Smasher actually has enough unique moves to keep a fight fresh for 15 whole minutes, that's would be an awesome achievement by the modder.

      @@CheekiTiki No, you're kind of right. The fight does become tedious and exhausting. Since you have to keep up a constant stream of damage. Otherwise Smasher will simply regen it back. And since he is so aggressive and tenacious, it can be hard to keep up a consistent damage output. At 3 to 4 times his health. The fight is still challenging and fun and doesn't last too long. At 5 to 6 it's more about proving you can do it. At 2 or 3 times health the fight is still be manageable and fun.
      Not saying it wouldn't be fun for some people, but bullet spongy enemies with health regen isn't really that fun imo.
      Not to say the mod is in any way bad since it's customizable and up to personal preference. Smasher's attacks and moves are still awesome and badass. The health regen simply makes the fight last too long at max health.

      The mod is still yet to be updated to 2.0 and PL. But i do know that the author is working on it.
