I don’t usually go for brown but that is an absolutely beautiful car. This vid is an ode to those of us who love mechanical things. Cars, watches, even pens. Well done. You’re not alone sir.
I also love mechanical stuff though still a digital guy.I suppose i am more mechanical than you think because i have a pen you crank up to start before writing with it, i guess you dont have one.
Agreed @@dailydriven991 - why on earth would someone try and flex that in the comments? I guess hipster content attracts hipsters like @emmanuelofori6521
Back in the day, I had a friend who owned a brown 77 targa. We would cruise around town and make that 911 sing. He's passed on now but I managed to buy a 3.2 gaurds red coupe 12 years ago and I wish he were here to see it. These air cooled cars are something special and after owning one you are never quite the same!
very well said. just got a 981 cayman and after coming from a model 3, loads more mechanical in feel. couldnt even imagine an air-cooled beauty like this
I get it, my mom took me to a Porsche dealership in 1979. She bought a gaurds red 928. I was hooked, my first car in 1980 was a 914 I currently have #26 a 1997 993 it's 2022 I'm still hooked.
Hi , Thank you for this true word's . I am from Germany and I owne since now 6 Years exacly the same 79 SC in this amasing Tabaco Metalic Color. I have seen this Car and I truly fall in love in this second . It 's a Reimport from your Home country. " A way of live " .
Excellent and super-rare color, would love to see it in person. I also like sepia brown.. I have a the more common shwartz-metallic SC, see you up in CT sometime ! Love the Bowie reference !
If you like and have cool things, you ARE a COOL person. ✨️👌 Very subtle, deep, beautiful video. 💫 Thank you very much for it! I find it really wonderful! I wish you more graceful trips with your Queen. 💖 Best regards, ⭐️ Patrizio (from Belgium 🇧🇪 ).
I have a 79 911 Porsche, do you know why when I try starting it, its just cranking with a lot of white smoke coming out? I’m pretty sure I need to clean the spark plugs out but I was wondering what you think? New starter, new battery, new spark plugs, 1 year old gas and oil. Any thoughts?
Producer: “I’ve got an idea, okay you’ve got a bike rack - can ya bring your bike along?” Millennial: “Am I gunna ride my bicycle, I thought this was about my car?” Producer: “Nah, we just wanna show everybody how much stuff you have. Oh, and don’t forget your sunglasses, shiny watch and film camera.” Millennial: “I’m into cigars and cognac too…” The Risky Business reference is just icing on the cake.
Great to see such a young person into vintage stuff.

The 1979 911sc has the big valves like the uro model. Some say it's faster than a 3.2 Carrera. What a great car.

Being humble is a good character trait to have living in this materialistic world.

I completely understand your feelings on the car, the watch, the camera, oh did I mention, the car.

Cool Mom, my Mom drove a TR3.

Stunning car, epic color...
Veeeery nice. Greetings from a german 996-owner.
I like this color, thanks !
Love your story. Air cooled Porsche is my dream car. Unfortunately I will never own one.
Never say never
Loved the video !
Spot on🤩
Love the car and love the speedy tin tin!!! 😍
This was very well done . Great job.
Digital made life better but it took the soul out of everything as well.
Great video and narration.
Great story and Porsche history!
Automotive therapy… indeed.
Cruise was referring to the magazine ad of the time.
BMW's line was "The ultimate driving machine".
love SCs. Nicely done!
I am in full sync with you on the cars and watches (love the Speedy!). I just wish this era of Porsche was not in the atmosphere on prices.
Well done!
Their not too bad. A 911 SC around that year, you can usually find between 25-35k. Which really ain't that bad considering it's Porshe.

Great video.
Great video, fantastic car, I have a 1987 3.2 Carrera in Cassis Red and I feel exactly the same about mine 😊👍
Love it! I just bought a '78. Where did you get that steering wheel horn center cap?
Awesome car man, I love it. 👍🏻
Love your style kid! 👍

Great color.

Love the car Trevor! Where did you find the “Retired Racer” Grill Badge?
My wife and I rescue Greyhounds, and I would love one for my 914!
The only time you see the colour, right at the very beginning, after that, at a distance, or in the darkness .
Very nice car, why bright window trim is overlooked on the newer models is baffling to me. Looks great !
Nice film 👍
Very nice.
A way of life..., and that''s allright
All class, the owner and car. Nice documentary
Thanks! Happy you enjoyed it.
Nice 911SC man Did you set up the ride height yourself? Looks really cool The color and interior Ive never seen before Hang on to it!!!
For me it wasn't the car or the watch that convinced me this guy has good taste - that's too obvious - rather it was the Eddy Merckx.
There is a strong temptation to close the front hood using the hood badge. Doing this will break the cloisonne on the badge.
Cool video, love the brown color, but please. Change the wiper blades 😁

Yes. The guy has put a roof rack on his 911. He also has a caravan.
Imagine the call tobaco-„anything“ nowadays. 70s were somewhat more free
probably shops at whole foods and wears wool cap to expensive coffee shops
A bit like the old Petrolicious films. Great

SHOW THE COLORE DARK DAY
Nice car but please remove the ridiculous bike on the roof.
young man I think you are great, so please delete your first sentence! Erase it from your life! Don´t get yourself trapped :)
Car is wasted on him.
That in a targa top a packet of dunhills driving around the south of France
I have the ‘78 Targa 911 SC in black that was originally that same brown. Wonderful automobile.
Some clear daylight shots would have helped instead of the dark arty filming, not impressed.
True. I really came to see the car. I feel so empty.
For a new 2023 test drive review, I’d 100% agree. But for a car that’s been around 50+ years, you want the story.
@@mightbesherwood1313 I think I missed the story.
