I've had many Porsches my first was a 69 912! But I went full concours. Also won our regional autocroos championship with it! Should not have sold it its probably worth $100K! Anyway love the way 911s can be tweeked and modded and parts from different years fit etc. Beautiful build!
I think there are really three machines that lend themselves to "hot rodding". American cars from the 30's with the '32 Ford in particular. Air-cooled Porsches (and Volkswagens). And M1911 pistols.
Very nicely done. BTW. 980kgs == 2,160 lbs. I have a 1984 911 Carrera I've "outlawed". It took quite a lot to get my car down to 2,400 lbs. So I couldn't see how your car could be that light. You just did a transposition on the weight.
the 911 is the poor man's 928. the 928 won two Bonneville Salt Flats fasted production land car (1986 and 2020). the 928 is the only sports car to win European Car of the Year. the 928 is the biggest bang for the buck in exotic sports/poster cars as well as the entire Porsche classic car line up. Even Magnus Walker is quietly building his 928 collection. the 964 is 40/60 weighth distribution and fish tails - not the 50/50 weight distrubted 928. While a grand tourer, the mid/high torque 928 is a more complete car as the 911 doesn't has less horsepower than the 928 and even today, classic porsche enthusiasts do not value off the line speed even for the 911. and Porsche made a tenth of 928s than they made 911s. No disrepect - just calling balls and strikes. Its now or never for the 928.
911's are so timeless beauties 🥰
