I love mine. I wouldn’t normally recommend a small heli to learn on based on my personal experience but the Goosky I definitely would. I used my trusty Futaba 18mz and flew it without any changes to the factory settings. Light 3D is my max, but this heli fully capable. I own several helis from tiny 150’s up to a 700 and the stability is very close to the larger copters. Great review. Now if they make a larger version I’m all in. 😊
@@alexmercado20 I didn't spend too much time looking back then, because I figured most new choppers, if they are in demand, eventually get replacement parts. But that could take a while. This does look like a very good highly capable chopper especially for new pilots that will be crashing a lot. In the old days, back in the 70's, that was very discouraging, and financially painful. A good gas chopper back then cost more than a months salary.
Very, very nice! It looks like a lot of fun although a bit intimidating. That motor is no joke and could do some serious damage if a rotor thumped someone! Stability mode looked pretty much like flying an E130 but I'm sure the power was substantially stronger. With the leveling gyros it appeared fairly easy to keep upright. I like the fact that it is available as a RTF option. Much easier for us non-jumper types. I had the same FPV question as someone down below so my question was answered as well. A quad is probably much safer and steady as an FPV medium. The price really isn't too high for what you get in my opinion. It's not much higher than DJI's least capable drone.
Ok Captain !!! Newby Helicopter take 2 !!!; lost the Eachine however (and I know its a higher cost) this looks pretty good!; here we go again !!!!🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
Loving the variety Cap! It's nice to see you spreading your wings. I'm gonna start calling you Captain RC😁 don't get me wrong I'm a lover of drones but I love your car and truck reviews now you've thown in a dash of submersibles planes helicopters and heck even a bird. Keep em coming Steve!!👍👍👍
Wow thanks for the great review. I just recieved my S2 today. Your video came the closest to answering my question about the T8 controller. The GOOSKY web site is not working so I can not get info from there. My question is about the S1 and S2 switches on the left. Can you provide a little more detail and clarity on these two switches. S1 says Idle but has three positions. I am guessing Normal, Idle up 1 and 2. S2 says Pose, Manual and Manual. But leaves confusion to what it actually means. Thanks in advance. Keep the videos coming.
Have you any flying experience in the RC hobby? If yes then you’d have some skills to fly in stability mode. If you can fly an FPV drone then you’re all set, but if you have only flown drones that are similar to DJI Drones then your hand/eye coordination skills will be rusty and need some practice.
NEXT !!! And found out it will bind with rtf S -1 tx. , that one be here next week & already here eyeing the S-2 & no , it be fruitless to intervene in my Heli addiction .
The price with or without the controller is reasonable. I don't have anything other than DJI, so do you have a better controller you would recommend for it? Second, I am a camera old guy, will it carry a Go Pro between the skids, and if modified would it lift it?
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 I ordered the Zorro so I will have it when I get the urge to buy something to use it with. 🙃 You keep introducing something better every week or so, so I hesitate to jump...
If someone has never driven one of these types but has been into rc for a while now … rc csrs. 6s .. do you think if I got this it would be possible to drive or are they hard to learn ?.. never mind you just answered my question.. I’d like to have one that will take these 5,000MAH batteries I already have. Traxxas batteries. I guess a copter that would hold one of these 5000’s would be significantly bigger and more powerful and harder to fly for a beginner ?
Thanks Captain Drone, for making these videos with all the recording and editing involved. And an extra "Thanks" to Steve, who both knows RC helicopters AND was a good sport while Cap ribbed him about the landing pad!
Is there a reason most high-end RC helicopters seem to be LOS only and never FPV? I assume it’s because the 3D flying is unpleasant in FPV but for cruising around I’d have thought a helicopter would be great.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 Nope, more because Helis are not a good platform for fpv. Too much vibration and jello. If you crash there are so many mecanical parts to repair too. Look at that rotor head. Very expensive and difficult to repair. On a drone you might only need to renew the props.
Seen the twin otter in the jeep good flying plane. To bad your not in the states know someone who has a bunch of planes, he hurt his wrist and can’t fly anymore.
Lol I know that feeling lol, I was thinking about taking them, 42 planes some still in boxes. If he’s just giving them away I figured why not just have to find space lmbo.

Love the design but way too small!, scale it up, so I can see it when in the air! Use to fly Flybar Nitro in the 80's. these are great Helis, but way too small to fly unless your in a restricted site!
Probably a warehouse issue or a battery issue (Banggood doesn’t like to ship multiple battery items to North America due to USA customs so Canada often loses out)
SEPTEMBER 16 IS NEXT MONTH For months Ive been asking everybody if they kno witch manufactures are gonna make these cumbersome radio stations that will legally destabilize my very large Hexicopter. No body is making them and the company that was suppose to stop selling in America, DJI says all their drones, back to the mavic air 1 will be able to broadcast on day 1. I would not worry too much as the USA is a small part of the world and the RC hobby is rampant in most other countries. My guess is, there will be another grace period as the government gets organized in the US and just like with all laws in the US, not many will adhere to them unless there is peer pressure.
I'm still trying to catch up with the FPV content. Now we've got helicopters. My all time favourite as a young teen, RC Helis. Thanks Captain.
Yes! Some of those scale rc helicopters 🚁 even come with altitude hold which was unheard of a few years ago! Eachine is pioneering a lot of that!

Hola,
Worth reviewing?
UMX Timber X BNF Basic with AS3X and SAFE Select, 570mm?

Nice heli! Is it a 450 class? You mentioned pricey, how much for the RTF version?
The links to price with Captain Drone discount can be found below the vid. It is not as large as a 450.
