    Thanks so much! It's the little details that make something cool into something awesome. As well, if you got em, may as well use em!

    Yep, either will work as well. Just let them go flat before using to prevent them from foaming up when mixing.

  • @croutoncrackerjacks
    @croutoncrackerjacks  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Perhaps they were. If you decide to do them again, make sure you only take off the very tip of the bottom to make sure there is not chance of them leaking and also, use strawberries that are very cold. It may also help to let the Jello mixture cool off quite a bit (but before it's set) before filling the ice cold berries.

    Awesome!! Glad you had a great time with the trees with your grandson. Make these without the liquor and the kids would love them!

    Raspberry would be good. Not sure about the lemon though. If you can find them, you could also look into margarita, strawberry daiquiri, watermelon, lime or even pina colada. Hope that helps.

    So simple! I gotta do this! Thank you. That's a LOT of strawberry shots but how much fun it would be to share with a couple of friends. :D

    this is probably one of the best tutorials ever! Yummy, cute, but most importantly your presentation is awesome! I'm going to the market today and getting some strawberries and jello (have the tequila). Making these for New Year's. Thank you, you create genius! Happy New Year, too!

  • @croutoncrackerjacks
    @croutoncrackerjacks  12 ปีที่แล้ว

    Yep, you can use any flavor of Jello for these. Lime would be most excellent and by no means do they HAVE to have liquor in them (these didn't ;-) ). And yeah...I'm not too fond of YT's new homepage at all. Somewhere, you can subscribe to email notifications where they send you an email whenever I upload a new video but don't ask how because I have no clue, LOL!!

    Some may evaporate off but adding in cold or tepid alcohol lowers the temp so quickly that it's not even noticeable.

    Oh there you are. TH-cam made some change and my subscriptions no longer come up on the front page. I kept manually coming to your channel, watching for what cool new things you were going to show us next. I was starting to get a bit worried, but with Christmas and all, I figured you were busy and would be back soon. I drink no alcohol, so I wonder if filling the berry with lemon jello would work with the lime slice ok,? Thanks for sharing yet another cool new treasure.

    I did this [before I watched your video] - my guests were absolutely stunned.
    However I used just gelatin sheets - no strawberry jello - why using artificial flavors and all, if you have the whole strawberry and - well alcohol.
    Besides of the gelatin I used just Cointreau, fresh lime and off course tequila. Then off course I put also some Maldon sea salt on top.
    I used a bit too less gelatin - but I think it got even better because of that, at it was not super jellied but still slightly liquid.

    what other flavor jello would you suggest? I was thinking raspberry, maybe lemon but I'm not sure what else would compliment the strawberry and not over power it.

    i bet dipping them in chocolate first would prevent them from leaking :) and taste good.
