You know what I love about this channel? I can't reasonably afford the tenders for these super yachts and I'm a millionaire, and yet these stories and lists are always fascinating.
I really like Amadea and Luminosity but MY A would have to be my #1 for the sheer audacity of the design!
I have to think A can launch torpedoes and anti-aircraft missiles. Somewhere inside I'm sure there is a long black conference table where chief henchmen can receive their instructions.

'A' for sure has a specially designed place where the villain can seat with his face invisible for others, hidden in the dark, while petting a cat with his gloved hand, and laughing in a hair-raising manner

Octopus would be my only choice since my goal is to float around the world until I'm dead. He who dies with the most toys wins!
Paul Allen died of non-Hodgkin lymphoma with quite a few toys at the age of 65. I'm not sure that I'd say he "won."

Both Tranquility and Octopus are amazing yachts, but I still prefer the lines of Amadea. She is still my favorite yacht.

Holy moly, that " A " looks pretty naughty. Something Darth Vader would vacation on. Well I just purchased my super yacht, a 25' Parker Sport Cabin, only set me back $170k, so I'm done. May not be able to travel the world, but it will certainly get me to the Bahamas.
I absolutely love Amadea. Kismets owner went from building car bumpers in his garage to Billionaire! Talk about rags to riches. He earned everything he has; the hard way. Great guy too! Really down to earth from the several interviews I seen him in.
But if they threw in the chopper for free I will go for Octopus. But then again.........lol.

I would have either A or Octopus. Both have left stark memory in my mind from seeing them first time at sea somewhere 2009 and 2010. Octopus is still THE definitive super yacht. Then again there is only one A super yacht, so I might have to go with it.

Given the privilege of owning any of these superyachts, Tranquility has had my eye for some time now. Octopus is beautiful, no doubt about it. But for some reason Tranquility speaks to me. That wall in her atrium with the changing screens, gorgeous.

Well, it’s September 2021 and every entry on this list except for M/Y Octopus is still for sale. While I hear Oceanco builds a spectacular boat, owning a Lürssen instantly earns you a very special place in the rarified world of super yacht ownership. This was fun to watch and while my needs are closer to a Sunseeker 40m (I could not imagine needing a crew of 37!) it’s good to see how the big dogs roll…
No amount of dramatic music makes "A" look any better. :p

I am pretty sure most of your subscribers live vicariously though your videos. I am sure most of us have a boat already picked out when the the jackpot hits.
Video Idea:
Pretend one of your subscribers wins the lottery. Next the subscriber contacts you wanting to get a yacht. Walk us through the process, dealing with brokers, build or buy decisions, finding a captain, etc.
Love your channel. Will you ever do a video or videos about the classic super yachts, e.g. Delphine, Christina, Savarona? I've heard about Gianni Agnelli's Serafina but never set eyes on it. Thanks.

@@eSysmanSuperYachts No I saw an instagram post claiming it was on the market for $300 M. But I don't think it is legit. Although it wouldn't surprise me. I could see him replacing it with something even bigger.
I did read somewhere that Octopus was sold but maybe it all fell through and didn't happen. Octopus is my choice because she has so many toys and interesting things to do while onboard.
I would have to go for Luminosity. Only hybrid system yacht here. Also had the best interior imo

Amadea..... hands down for her sheer beauty... interesting, I joined a new supertanker as a cadet in 1979. It was 300,000 tonnes d.w.t and the cost out of the yard was $30 Million

A for its unique design. It's fluid. No ugly protuberances.
Octopus if I want to keep on searching, researching, discovering, finding.
Luminosity is brand new, 1st owner, hybrid propulsion.
If I had the cash realistically instead of second hand I'd just have one made with my personal specifications.
Of those in the list i would probably pick Octopus. But if any yacht was an option, then probably Ragnar the M/Y or better yet, Black Pearl (the sailship). And in the real world i still hope to one day have a Riva hull motorboat, one of the older wooden styles :)

Octopus for me! I'm was waiting for the walkthrough of this beauty from a youtube channel because of the 'teaser' they posted but that never happened...
The only need for a walkthrough video is if there is a desire to charter the yacht. Anyone who is serious about paying $300 million (counting broker fees) can arrange for their agent to get a private tour to video and then go aboard themselves if they are still interested. It's clear from the lack of interior photos/videos of Octopus that it might need another refit to bring the interior from early 'naughts to 2021 standards. But if someone can drop $300 million on the vessel and afford a crew of 60+, another year plus in interior refit shouldn't be much of an obstacle.
Having to decide between Amadea vs Octopus is hard to do, Amadea has an amazing interior and exterior but Octopus has the star power

Octopus all day, every day. Thought she had recently been sold to a Swedish / Nordic guy though subject to survey, so surprised is on this list....she is by far the best yacht in the world for me.
Only one yacht is worthy, Octopus!!!!
it always amazes me that, in reality those big vessels can accommodate very few gests(compared to their sizes) and usually has more workers than gests....
Limited guests is because of regulations. And every passenger vessel regardless of whether it’s a yacht or cruise ship should have more crew than guests.

I would go for Amadea. Tho Octopus is a very remarkable yacht she will have to have a major cost and time intensive inspection in 2023 as she turns 20 years old. Amadea on the other hand is fairly new and she was born where i was born.
There is one other yacht that I believe is still on the market, Lürssen's Ace. The biggest problems with Ace is its guest cabin count, and general deck layout.
This yacht is unique in what is located where. An example is Ace's Main Deck Lounge, which instead of being the lounge, is turned into a gym/fitness area. Other strange choices by the original owner seem to hamper the attractiveness of this yacht to potential buyers.
That was in my top 10 list a did earlier this year.
ACE has the same problem all expensive charter yachts do. They do not appeal to owners who do not want to charter. Most new superyacht owners want guest counts in the high 20s and some even in the 40s. ACE would need a massive redesign to get that many guests. And a boat that price and size having its market potential so restricted must be brutal. Still fantastic marketing from Fraser though.
Definitely Luminosity.
My Choice is the Octopus, I could imagine exploring living aboard and diving with the Submarine onboard!

The reason Octopus hasn't been sold to date is it's a very old vessel, which means it's built to cruise ship standards, which is very very expensive to maintain.

Octopus no question, though I think she might need some TLC not sure when she was last overhauled which might also explain the price drop.
That said whatever you buy would be a stopgap to having something build to your own spec top to bottom. A well one can dream :)
