After watching this video I learned that I know how to stream already! Thanks tony! Now I can hit the bursts on harumachi clover with all 100's instead of 50's!!!
By far the hardest part for learning streams was the lack of readily available maps to play. Most of my time was googling, asking friends, and manually searching myself. I’m glad to see you took the time to make it easy for new players!
@@celine357 Yeah rate mapsets are incredibly useful for sure, although most either get boring because of bad music(Isogu) or kill my stamina with only 4-5 plays
I love how starting at the basics became a theme in your videos, I think it's pretty evident that many players rush too much when it comes to playing osu because they want to jump into the harder, cooler looking maps. This could be attributed to how a lot of players get introduced to the game by streamers that are good players, so I'm happy that you took your time to explain that going to the basics is the right move here! Now, can Part 2 teach me how to fc Yomi Yori DT?
I'm so grateful to you. I remember always looking for videos and they never seemed to help, but you're over here creating an entire full streaming guide. Thank you thank you thanks thank you
I appreciate the time and energy it took to get this video out. This is a very well constructed video. However, I have some major issues at around 10:37 where you say "Building rhythm sense only comes with time and experience." You said that getting good at osu is much like getting good at a musical instrument and you even used a piano analogy. If you continue to think about treating osu like a musical instrument, then the fundamentals and the entirety of this video can be summed up quite simply. "Understand rhythm." Yes, you CAN brute force rhythmic sense, consistent accuracy, and finger control with nothing but will power and time, but that takes absolutely forever. Just like you said, "...hundreds of hours." It takes only a fraction of a fraction of that time to improve those areas by getting away from the game and learning some basic music theory. Not chords and how to read music and all that junk, but rhythms. By learning and understanding what exactly rhythm is and how different amounts of equally distributed space play a part in rhythm, then you can much more easily improve those fundamentals, AND by understanding rhythm as a whole, accuracy is never something the be worried about again no matter what rhythm game is being played. The thing is, most people think that learning rhythms are understanding them on a deeper and more fundamental level is more difficult than it actually is. It's quite simple in concept and there are a multitude of videos on TH-cam teaching it. Once someone has a basic grasp on rhythm as a whole, there is no more over/under streaming, there is an improvement of accuracy across the board, there's less thinking about what's happening next because you'll pick up on rhythmic patterns and consistencies across every song you ever play, and once rhythm is understood to that level, the only thing holding you back is speed, aim, and stamina. My recommendation is to close osu and watch some TH-cam videos on learning the fundamentals of rhythm and then put on a metronome via google or an phone app and working on staying with the metronome. Is it the most fun thing to do? No, but is it the quickest, most streamlined, and most efficient way to get good at the fundamentals of any rhythm game under the sun? Absolutely.
I play this game for 2 years, but I think it's amazing the way you teach how to play the game. The beginners are indeed in good hands with your videos, mate!
Another thing that really helped me get better at streams was the use of dt tournament picks. It helped me because I used to (and still do) get mind block as soon as I saw anything other than a triple. I could high acc maps with triples and doubles up to 220, but as soon as that sight of a stream appeared, it was double tap central. The tournament dt picks just force you to push through that if you suffer from the same thing.
I found playing Taiko actually help me learn how to stream, might sound strange but taiko requires good finger control when it comes to alternating drum beats which actually help me learn how to stream in base osu, I'm the rare quad player in Osu so I enjoy skills that carry over.
around the first day of play, I found the absolute tip, "play more" I found it confusing and I don't know what to do except to.. play more. after 2 months, I have found myself better than the first day me I was a little surprised by the fact that it's the only tip I listened to... since I only play more, verifying that it's true for me before going to the next one.

You kinda blew off the raw agility part. I have about no raw agility at all and even 160 is really hard for me, I’ve put in countless hours and have seen slow progress in my speed, however all of this progress disappears if I take even a few days off and I’m back at 0. I don’t know what to do anymore. I have the play time, reading, rhythm sense, I just cannot click fast enough.
I completely agree with you. I have the exact same problem you have. My fingers are just too slow to do even a burst at 160 bpm. I practiced for 2 weeks at least an hour a day, and I still couldn't do a burst at 160 bpm, my fingers just can't move that fast. I also practiced for a week a year before that with also no improvements.
This was the first guide that actually helped me improve, i played your rehabilitation pack for about an hour and a half until I was completely out of stam in my fingers and my accuracy is way better and im able to consistently hit bursts and short streams now, thank you so much at this rate I'll be streaming in no time.
as one who wants to get into speed I’m glad I’m actually doing it correctly currently trying to master streams, still focusing on acc and flow aim but with practice i can get there

Thanks so much for the video! After stumbling upon Over Drive from the rehab pack I was eagerly waiting for the streaming follow up video with a collection of similar maps.
I have no clue if this is going to be in part 2 or not but a tip for tapping is to keep your fingers on the keycaps, your taps become consistent and gain a tiny amount of speed if you raise your wrist a bit Another tip is for stream/flow aim is to actually look at the burst, maybe this is obvious but might help because I realised this when I figured out I was using my peripheral vision for burst Hope this helps as it did for me
That might actually help. There is this dad who is a piano player and could do 220bpm speed on isogu straight away after learning how to play the game. His accuracy was obviously terrible but the main point is that a piano player can literally stream 220bpm straight away which is insane xD

i love these videos because i realize how much i’ve learned by just playing more. these informational videos are absolutely amazing (i mean it they’re awesome) and really stop bad habits for new players i feel like, me included. these videos and playing more have made me such a better player so much to the point where i’m doing things correctly that i didn’t even know i was wrong in the first place. if you’re new take these videos and try and learn at least 1 thing and build off it, oh and play more.
your content is so underrated i wish more people would be able to see these top tier and informative videos of yours you could've atleast explained notelock and stream patterns or is that for the next part? can't wait :)

Something that *did* instantly improve my and consistency was switching from index&middle fingers to index&ring fingers and spacing my clicker keys (Z and C). It was a matter of comfort so it def won't work for everyone but I think it's worth checking out. 8)
I was a pp farming degen and went from 7 digits to 200k in 10 days. Then I decided to stop pp farming cuz I got addicted to raise my sword. After 3 months of playing raise my sword nonstop (literally), I immediately beat 4 7 stars in 1 day, passed big black, all without gaining a single pp.
i love these videos because i realize how much i’ve learned by just playing more. these informational videos are absolutely amazing (i mean it they’re awesome) and really stop bad habits for new players i feel like, me included. these videos and playing more have made me such a better player so much to the point where i’m doing things correctly that i didn’t even know i was wrong in the first place. if you’re new take these videos and try and learn at least 1 thing and build off it, oh and play more.
Huge work done. Thanks.
Dude literally after I watch this video I suddenly could do a 4* burst with 99% acc. mindblowned. thx

me: learning how to stream with less than 24 hours in game
Thank you dud, this is such an educational video to streaming. Looking forward to the continuation because i can somewhat stream 5-6 stars already, just not that consistent.
I don't know if I play the game to much I learned to stream without learning how to burst I just instantly played stream maps
this actually helped a lot i was worried about my rate of improvement i have nearly 2 days of playtime and was wondering what stage i should be at especially because i couldn't stream or burst consistently but after watching this i decided to go at my own pace and slowly start doing 4 stars and now i can consistently burst and hit small streams also i can fc 4 stars as well thank you very much and keep up the good work.
