I think there's a middle ground here. You need to control the controllable if you fall in the 5-7 range. That's the range where a gym routine, hair cut, and game can actually help. Generally the PUA workshop stuff is a scam. However, I personally did take one of these PUA courses back about 10 years ago and it helped with the little things I was doing wrong like proper initiation of physical contact, how to joke with women, how to text women, etc...But by the point the PUA stuff helped I had already done my best to looks max and status max. That 80% looks thing is absolutely true. I used to be fat and had massive problems with my self worth. After I lost weight (I'm quite handsome, tall etc) girls responded very differently.
