Europe and hesitating states in the United States faces a very real risk of being left behind if they do not accelerate the permitting process.

Great info as usual Matt. I received FSD v12.3.6 this morning on my Model Y and had a chance to use it for a little over an hour today. Not a whole lot different than v12.3.4 but it did seem smoother. No problems, no disengagements except by my choice when I wanted to change to a more scenic route. It was raining pretty hard for much of the drive and received quite a few messages on the screen that FSD was possibly degraded due to bad weather. That said, it worked as well as it does in good weather. Impressed.
Matt you have previously mentioned that the stock could go down into around 145, which turned out to be correct. I think you should do a video where you explain your thought process of why you thought it was possible for the stock to go down to that number range.
The Semi performance was with regards to its traction on icy/snowy roads and not the battery life. Thanks for the great content I look forward to it every day.😊
Perhaps Baidu can map the US as google maps lead to some poor navigation choices. Or better yet Tesla builds a new set of maps based on it's own navigation data, with some system to be updated by the users The street I live on is residential and has a 25 mph speed limit, my Model Y thinks the speed limit varies from 25 to 35 to 45 mph dependent on the direction you enter the street.
I was only seeing videos from 2 weeks ago every once and a while when I signed into TH-cam. I needed to clear my cache in my TH-cam app settings on my phone and then I could find today's video! I just had to do this again to even find the video to comment... I dont know what TH-cam is doing....

I am convinced that FSD works well, better than most drivers probably, what concerned me is A$sholes tampering with the cameras or other equipment on the taxi's, and messing it up for everyone. I still say there needs to be a basic car without it that can acclimate people to the brand.

FSD 12.3.6 is not too deferential; Omar is just being impatient. His argument is that in San Francisco, you need to be more assertive sometimes. That may be the case now with humans behind the wheel; but in the future when all cars drive the same way because of FSD, its driving etiquette will become universal, and the way it drives is the way that the entire world will end up believing that it should drive. Also, while in an autonomous vehicle, its navigation will be the last thing on your mind; just think about how you take trains, airplanes, buses, or any other form of transportation in which you aren't the driver: you don't think about it at all. For now, given that safety is paramount, especially around pedestrians, I have no issues at all with its "deferential" behavior. If Tesla should err on any side, it should be on the side of caution, especially as we enter a phase in which there will be major (even if unfounded) objections to regulator approval. Anything given to the objectors would slow the adoption of FSD.
