Hi guys, I wanna hear as many paperclip jokes or puns in the comments! 📎 🖇 Mrs. Cooper had an accident yesterday, nothing major, she's ok, just been so hectic this end, will reply to comments in the morning as I'm so exhausted, hence the earlier post.xxx
Daniel your a regular MacGyver! We need to see what you kind of jewelry you can make with other office supplies and house objects. I love how your mind works. 💗
😮a bezel, so I don't have to buy them to practice, thank you 👍 Hope Mrs C is doing better, I am sending her my fav joke..... Q. How many Folk singers does it take to change a light bulb? A. Ten, one to change the bulb and nine to sing about the old one. 💖
New Clip art! A ship made of paperclips is called a Clipper. Nice McGyvering the bezel! OMG I can hear the Ba dum cha with every joke! LOL Great idea for more colourful bezels.
Your dad jokes are leaving me conflicted: Every time you tell one I decide that I absolutely won't laugh, but then can't help myself 😂. Not many can make me splutter my nighttime cuppa! Hope Mrs Cooper is doing much better ❤
Oh, no. Wish the Mrs well. I don't have any paperclip jokes for you, but you sure made me laugh with yours. Thanks. And office supplies for resin, that is great.
Hope Mrs. C is okay? 😲 If she had a fender bender, those can leave you so sore the next day! Get some rest, you two! ❤ So cute, Daniel! I really like them! Totally retro! 👍💕 You need a wire jig to shape or reshape wire, especially if you need to get out awkward bends (or put some in!).
3:25 you can use little pieces of painters tape to hold the bezel tape down so it doesn’t move on you. It’s also nice that you can touch the painters tape and it won’t stick to you. I can’t stand working on projects when things keep sticking to me
I can’t wait for you to get that plaque… it’s coming I can smell it 🎉. The clip 📎 is a brilliant idea 💡 I’m guessing it would work with the dipping method.
Little Windows sells a sticky tape for open bezels, and they say it never leaves residue. I haven't tried it. But it's wider, too, so you could make bigger projects.
If someone just shows me the finished things without any context, at first I probably couldn't tell the frame is actually a bent paperclip! Clever idea.
I think the bubbles could be an interesting addition if done right. Make it part of the aesthetic. With a translucent tinted resin or even opaque color the bubbles could create little clear explosion windows. Add dichroic film to the back of if the bubble windows to add an interesting pop of color or just keep it clear. I dunno since I haven't ever worked with dried flowers and resin so I have zero experience there. At least it sounds like an interesting idea 😂 Also it may be possible to use a rubber mallet and rubber mat to gently flatten a covered paperclip without damaging the cover but I haven't tried it with a covered clip so I cannot confirm.
Sorry for accident, glad she's ok. As far as the paper clip and the edges on doing without tape. I have seen, also tried, to take a thin paint brush and take the flat pieces put on silicone mat. Then take the paint brush and dip in uv resin and going around inside edge with thin layer just along the edge and cure it then fill it in. It helps prevent leaking out. If I'm explaining myself ok. Tired, bad pain day, and hectic morning helping friend with her 92 year old mom!
Billy's birthday gift Little Billy just turned 8. His parents went all out for the party. They rented a bounce house. The cake was three layers. They even hired the best clown in the state. All of Billy's friends from school were there, even some of the older cool kids made it. At the end of the party, when everyone left, Billy's father gave him one last gift It was wrapped up in a large box. Billy opened the box up and inside was a slightly smaller box. Written on the box was "Open me on your 80th birthday." Billy's dad, who has a big grin on his face, said "I guess you'll just have to wait." Later that night, Billy barely got any sleep as he pondered whether or not to open the box anyway. It took a great amount of restraint, but he decided not to open the box. Five years later, Billy was celebrating his 13th birthday. He'd reached a milestone and that year had been quite eventful. He was growing up, noticing girls. His parents got divorced. It was a mutual decision, and they both told him that it wasn't his fault. His mother, however, still felt the need to over-compensate on his birthday. She managed to reserve Billy's favorite arcade for him and his friends. Overall, he had a great day, but later that night, he remembered his dad's gift. He had it stashed away in the closet. He pulled the box out to open it up, but looked at those words on the box that said "Open me on your 80th birthday". Billy contemplated opening the box up anyway. He figured he waited long enough, but ultimately, he chose not to open the box, and put it back in the closet. Another five years passed, and Billy was turning 18. This year we also eventful. His parents reconciled. He had a girlfriend. He was starting college after the summer. He didn't need anything this year, and yet his parents surprised him with a brand new car. He was as happy as can be. Still in the corner of his mind, however, was the gift he received from his father ten years ago. Later that year, when he was packing things up for college, he came across the box that read "Open me on your 80th birthday." Surely it would be okay enough to open now, wouldn't it?" Billy held the box in his hands for a good five minutes before deciding to pack it away without opening it. Many years passed, and Billy, who was now going by Will, was turning 36. He got married, started a family and finally finished school, earning his PhD. Alas, his father passed away that same year. So it wasn't all good news. Will couldn't help but think about that box. He held onto it all these years. Still written on the box was "Open me on your 80th birthday." His father passed. He could open the box now, right?" In the end, he couldn't bring himself to do it. He wanted to respect his father's wishes. Nearly 50 years passed, and Will had lived quite a life. After earning his doctorate, he began teaching at the same ivy league school here graduated from. His children grew up, followed in his footsteps and had kids of their own. He'd lived a long life. His wife, however, passed the previous year. And Will knew he wouldn't last much longer. His 80th birthday arrived. And even in his advanced age, he never forgot the box his father gave him decades ago. He kept it so long. Every birthday was a constant reminder. He wanted to know what was inside. But the very moment he grabbed the box, he became overwhelmed with excitement and suffered a heart attack before he could even open the box. I bet you're thinking that's where the story ends, right? Well it isn't. Minutes later, the housekeeper found Will on the ground with the box in his hands. She was going to immediately call an ambulance, but here curiosity got the best of her. Written on the box was "Open me on your 80th birthday." She removed the lid from the box. Inside, bound but a paper clip, was eight $1 bills and a small note, which the housekeeper read aloud to herself. "I knew you wouldn't be able to wait. Happy 8th birthday, Billy." My favourite paperclip joke
Feeling very inadequate today. I’ve not been able to think of a single paper clip joke! 😅 I don’t know which is sadder…… the fact that I can’t think of any or the fact that I’ve been trying!!!😅
Hey Daniel, interesting video, I have a load of coloured paperclips, I think this is one for the granchildren, who love getting into my stash (I'm not so fond lol) but it's a fab way to get effective results! Thank you for a fab video!
Hi Daniel, I make jewellery with copper wire, I sometimes make my own frame for uv resin, you can use your cats eye nail varnishes, any nail varnish, and paint pictures with them. Then you have a one of a kind original piece of jewellery, and have had fun making it as well. Thank you x❤
Hope all is good with Mrs. Cooper! And what a cool idea to use those paperclips… I found some laying around, never use them, so I will try this!!! Aren’t u working with Let’s Resin no more?

Quick off topic question...do you use a vacuum chamber for reducing bubbles in resin? If so, which one? And while I'm here, what has happened to Myriam (Myriamsnature)? One of your videos got me hooked on her videos but she hasn't posted for 2 years. Is she OK?
Awesome channel dude very creative. Can I ask your advice. I have coloured glass offcuts. From stained glass work and would like to use resin to join. them together a bit like mosiac. Wh at is a good epoxy for a beginner and won't the small glass bits float?
Hi, good idea, glass and resin can be a pain to get a good and strong bond sometimes but if the edges of the glass are rough, it should be strong enough. Most epoxies should be strong enough however you have the risk of the epoxy seeping with gravity, uv resin could be an option as you can cure that as you go, I would suggest a hard type uv resin to test.
Hi Daniel, I actually have a question about epoxy resin. I usually work with the UV resin, not that I am a pro! lol But I am interested in working with the epoxy resin to make larger pieces. I harvest my craft room downstairs in my basement. I know that temperature has a lot to due with how you pieces come out. What is a good room temperature to work with the resin and to keep it over night to cure?? I am aware of the safety… using gloves, good ventilation and a respirator. Any help would be great 😊 TIA
Daniel- I’m having a lot of problems with bubbles in the uv resin. I can see them coming out of the spout as I squeeze it into the molds. They don’t rise out of the resin and I can’t poke them out except for the really big ones. Do you or anyone else here have any tips on how to get rid of them or get them out of the resin altogether? Thanks!

You mentioned that sometimes you get a sticky residue from the resin tape. I have had the same problem. Any tips for getting that off?
You know what I saw when you were bending your paperclips? Tiny coat hangers.
