DJI Avata 2: Sitting on my front porch testing new rates

- I was also testing a new camera setting without ND filters and no ISO adjustment, that's why the video quality is so poor. I've spent a lot time flying and crashing the Avata 2, and finally found rates that will allow it to fly cinematic and full acro mode. After way too many crashes, I've found that the Avata 2 is a bit underpowered coming out of loops or dives, so make sure to give it extra throttle.
No cars were hurt in this video. That was just my wife going to the store with my car.
I want to also add that while I have a 2 year DJI care insurance, I've crashed this drone none stop for a month on every flight. This Avata 2 can take a beating, the frame is completely warped and has several cracks from slamming into the ground so many times. This is my first flight where I got the hang of it, found my "flow" and didn't crash. DJI did a great job with the Avata 2. Even though I have a stash of extra props I refused to use them, I want to see how long the Avata 2 can fly with everything broken. All my prop blades have multiple chips in them and the Avata 2 still flies like a dream.

Cheers! Thank you!
Awesome footage!! Great job
hey! Thanks Jim, I'm glad you enjoyed it.
That is a super nice neighborhood your living in.
Thanks, it sure is. It's built on American Civil War battle ground. So it's pretty sacred, protected and very peaceful.
you got the skillz that payz the billz right there my good man.
Thank you, cheers!
Impressive
Thank you my guy!
Nice!
Cheers!
smooth moves man, nice fpv flight,. got started with avata2 as well .. new subs here 🤝
Thanks my guy, I’m glad you enjoyed it.
I’ve put so many flights on the Avata 2 and this was the first flight I didn’t crash. At this point my Avata 2 frame is cracked and warped from all the crashes and it still flies perfect. I’ve been stuck flying from my front porch because I’m waiting for DJI to deliver the batteries I ordered so I can drive out to a new location. Feel free to try out my rates I posted in the description, it allows the Avata 2 to shoot some cinematic videos and do some acrobatic flights. For cinematic videos, just bring the camera angle down to 15, and for flights like this video, set the angle to 25.
thank u very much for the tip bro .. I appreciate it,. I’ll try it for sure.. I guess u also have the dji care .. enjoy & have a safe flight my friend 💪🏼💪🏼
Gyroflow or rocksteady ?
Hey Ghost! I’m using Rocksteady. I’ve tried Gyroflow on all my other videos, but it warps and crops the videos too much. I find that Rocksteady smoothens out everything without any noticeable warping or cropping of the video.
I actually this video was only intended to test some video settings, but I suddenly got into the mood to push the Avata 2 to its limits to see if the ISO would keep up with the lighting changes. I had set the ISO to automatic in this video, that’s why the video quality is so poor. Next time I’m going a set a manual ISO.
@@RichardDosSantosDrones Just a question from a nooby avata 2 owner....Can you customize a button on the controller to switch into slow motion mode on the camera?
I don't think you can on the Avata. You'll have to shoot at a max of 60 fps and then slow the footage down in your video editing software.
@@RichardDosSantosDrones OK thanks I might have to pester DJI to upgrade the firmware to allow it.
@@shadowbanned5164 hahaha, good luck! Just remember that they gave us 60 fps so we can convert the footage from the Avata to slow motion.
Terrible
hahaha, the absolute worst!
