I've seen each of these exercises separately in other videos, with less clear explanations and no pre-education. Very nice video, thorough, and everything all in one place ❤
Thank you so much for putting this material for free, I'm a martial artist teacher and this helps me and my students to strengthen and resolve knee issues! Great work!
Thank you for this free video! Never thought of my knee as a victim joint but after watching this it makes so much sense. Now, after 3 knee surgeries, I understand that it’s not my knees but my hip and or ankles…..for sure my ankles…..question- is your mobility program structured like this? I think I’ll get it. Ty!
Vanja, you've explained this knee pain issued well. How would you modify the exercises for seniors who are not in such great shape and have survived cancer, accidents,....? Thank you
As long as you have no pain doing any of these you can do them. For example you can modify the single leg squat further by doing a regular squat to a box. You can modify the split squat to do a step up. Keep moving 🔥🔥
If you came to the video because of knee pain you will love the first half and cry in the second. It's a fantasy that I could practice any of these exercises. Great presentation.
do them in levels!! This first single leg squat--she is doing them at 90 degrees, you could start on something that puts you in a 45 degree angle to make it easier and go from there. you got this.
It’s strange to see these knee pain videos. The first thing they should say is go see a doctor to make sure something is not torn. That’s exactly what happened to me.
Great video. During my Quadricep Tendon Rupture recovery, I had to do the Peliquin Step Down. It was so difficult. I have not tried it in a while so I will do it tomorrow in the gym. Thanks.
The exercise with the bands at the side of the knee was the missing key I needed to fully provide tension to all the ligaments and tendons around the knee and not only front and back. Is it ok to put the band at the other side too so I train the internal and external portions of the knee joint?
First static hold was surprisingly hard. Good. That’s the problem area Single leg squat. Can’t do on right leg. Problem area. Maybe if I could I wouldn’t have the knee pain. Last two exercise: easy but seems like I need them.
Hi, thank you for putting this for free. I have degenerative meniscus tear in right knee, every Dr had suggested surgery, but I haven't gone though it. It's been more than an year but I am managing it well as of now. Moving without pain but sometimes I feel it's still there and any sudden jerk gives me sharp pain at that movement. Can't dare to run or jump. I was thinking to buy your sessions will it be beneficial for me?
Never do surgery, I did and what a mistake. Now 5 years later I am back in pain if I set for to long I barely can work, my knee pops out all the time and sometimes is very painful
Hey there! Another great vid and thank you for that. Got a question though - what if my knee hurts "inside" whilst performing those exercises especially single leg squat and split squat? Are those still suitable for me and the pain will go away if i strengthen the knee?
I can’t say without knowing more put you should def not train through pain. Strain is good but if we have pain we need to make sure to pick the appropriate exercises and variations to address that movement pattern
@@Movesmethod thank you very much for reply. I’ve decided to try out as cautious as possible as well as control the movement with assistance. I’ve noticed that with each series the pain goes away and I have improved range of motion. Also really thanks for deep squad challenge idea. Even though i struggle to accumulate 30 mins but I already see significant body proprioception comfort increase
Knees caving inward (knock-knee) can also simply be a genetic or deformity issue. Building muscle to support the knees will help, however, it will never correct the deformed structure.
All these exercises could be good for someone with issues with weak glutes but in order to know exactly what's going on you should get properly assessed. Every single thing she mentioned regarding symptoms for the knee could be caused by a whole host of other issues. You can have really strong glutes but they can be stuck in a shortened position which would make them feel weak. Most likely if your glutes are stuck in this shortened position you will be lacking the ability to get into internal rotation and then prescribing these exercises would just make things much worse. But the knee would still collapse with the foot and cause knee pain because the strong glutes which is now shortened and actually inhibited.
Sorry are you saying if you have Osteoarthritis you can do all of these or some of these. I am 60 have Osteoarthritis, do knee strengthening and glutes exercises can play football two times per week. I need a professional assessment
Great advice! I had knee issues at 59 yers old. Worked my way to being able to do full ROM ATG goblet squats which completely cured my knees. Shorter ROMs hurt my knees more). It took me over a year to be able to go full ROM squatting to a depth of six inches. Now I can do over half my bodyweight at 66 years young: th-cam.com/video/guYANZTshsw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=dDXVoSiql3dMOcjJ&t=13 Saving your video to show to those with knee issues. Much thanks!
You think you're in a posterior pelvic tilt in the split squat?!?! Lmao youre low back is so arched, there is now way you can be in ppt in that position

I love that 🙌🏼 appreciate the support
Thanks for sharing. No knee pain in my 70’s. Been doing 3 of the
movements you shown. Not the pistol squat. Will give it a try. 👍

You can do it. break it down into simpler forms and make gradual increases.
@@Toniitony Thanks, it's so hard and so little progress after months of training.

very important video! thanks for sharing

Thank you ❤
You're welcome 😊
Great Video! Thank you❤

whats the point of raising the heel in the polyquin step up? is doing it flat footed easier or harder?
Thaaaaaaank you so much!!! 🇧🇷🦵🏿
You’re welcomeeee 🙌🏼
Love u from Egypt ❤ thank u

Exactly this. Inside of my right knee hurts a little on single leg squat. I'll proceed with caution
Also big part is weak VMO which is critical to patella tracking
The pistol squat gave me additional knee pain, under my knee cap 🤔
Great, thank You
Love from India
Most welcome!

She clearly showed throughout the video that her knees are in good condition being able to remain in such a squat position for so long.

So you copied Ben Patrick’s knees over toes system… his works splendidly!
She says most people with knee pain are quad dominant and so the first exercise is for the quads lol
I really can't do a single leg squat
Same really, I think we should do it assisted, holding on a support for starters before doing it hands free
Do a regular squat to a box
Ditto. I think many of us who have the knee problems aren't strong enough to start at this level.
Yes start with easier variations like regular air squats or staggered squats.
You think you're in a posterior pelvic tilt in the split squat?!?! Lmao youre low back is so arched, there is now way you can be in ppt in that position
Looks more like a yoga lunge..
