Hey guys your podcast is freaking great. Been a handler for 10years and. now the trainer for our k9 unit. You guys are spot on!!! We all remember our first bite it's like yesterday... Thanks for sharing your experiences especially the officer involved shootings, I find that it helps me mentally and physically when I share my OIS with others... thanks again and keep it going

My cousin's dog jumped a fence and chased down a guy who was breaking into his truck (my cousin's truck). The dog, Dash, grabbed his leg. He didn't tear into the guy and barely even broke the skin, just held on and then, when the cops arrived, he let go of the leg and sat. They had Dash since he was a puppy so they know he wasn't trained but it was like he knew exactly what to do. I've always thought it was weird.

Very interesting. I guess what I don't understand is how a K-9 operator is tactically in control of a scene. I always thought K-9's were just a tool. And someone who is tactically trained with SWAT, etc, they use the dog (and handler) scientifically to apprehend the suspect. I don't know, that just makes more sense to me. I have trained a deaf dog to do tricks and I know how much it takes to keep control of an animal in a strange environment, so it just seems like the K9 handler would have too much on his plate.
Love your content. Keep it up.
    Edit: LOL 33:00 "Emotional support!"

Hey guys!! Love the work...but could you please bump the sound up a bit please? I can't turn it up when my laptop and video are pegged but I can certainly turn it down. Thanks for your work!!

Chris knows how to tell a story!
Is he the same Chris that said "you guys are killing my vibe" during a shootout? (Haha, nvm, just answered in the show 😂)

I'm sure you've been asked before but I'm currently a security officer and I've gotten pretty far into some hiring processes. Could you discuss about hiring processes, differences between local state and federal departments, tips for brand new officers, all that kind of stuff. Much appreciated guys, looking forward to more episodes!
