    Thank you for reviewing the performance of the product first. Most of the TH-cam reviews have spent the entire time complaining about the pricing - ignoring the reality that we can't just shop MSRP right now.

    hey hey hey, wait a sec... 5:20 how big power supply? 850? Are we pairing it with OC'd Threadripper? Honestly... why? Like, I understand that 600W power supply might be too close to be comfortable, since no way entire system, while gaming, would draw more than 550W even with Intels... but why as much as 850W stated as minimum? Do I miss something here?

    • @TechTesters
      @TechTesters  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Even though a system may draw 500-550~ish Watts from the wall on average, high end systems have pretty huge power spikes that are happening quite often.
      So you do need to give it lots of space if you want to have a stable system. I talk about it a bit more in detail with some nice visual representation of what's happening in my How to pick a PSU guide

Thank you so much for keeping it going even in these difficult times. By now everyone should know that reviewers don't get to keep the products that they are given for testing. If you are still getting grief over this then they are the ones who have been burying their heads in the sand. Keep up the great work and keep the faith! 😊

      @@Rozzia What's yours max temperature under load? Mine with stock settings reaches 72℃ with the gaming BIOS and 82℃ with the silent BIOS (ambient around 22℃). But I prefer the silent BIOS so I undervolt it so now temperature rarely goes above 80℃ and no performance loss either.

    I have seen this particular card as high as 3 thousand dollars. They clearly taking advantages of what's happening and the shortages. Even worst they saying that this might continue into 2023. I have been looking for this particular one but you can't find it anywhere and when you find it, is at a price that only a rich person can afford. The search and hope of a lucky not so exaggerated price for this card will continue. If anyone knows anything, I'm all ears.

    I have been waiting for an available at/under AUD $4000 Asus 3090 ROG Strix OC here in Australia. I was checking again this morning the various 3090 prices/availability and noticed an advertisement for a MSI GeForce RTX 3080 Ti SUPRIM X for AUD $2659 (Euro 1672 or USD 1894). It has been annoying waiting for a GPU to go with all my other purchased components (AMD 5950X cpu, Asus x570 proart motherboard, 128GB Corsair Vengeance LPX RAM) … so a MSI 3080 Ti it is. I finally bit the bullet and purchased a GPU.

    I Australia the stock situation is quite good, and the prices on 3080Ti are dropping.... Now I am between two cards, 3080ti ftw3 and msi trio, same price.... the TUF, my first choice, is still way overpriced.
    I can't find very good review on these cards in the Ti version, only 3080 or 3090, for me the important things are temperature and noise level.... I can even find the ventus 3x oc slightly cheaper...
    Which one can be the best choice?

    The added power is for overclocking, when tuned correctly the MSI 3080Ti Suprim is significantly faster than any other card on the market. so really this card is for people who really push cards to there limit.

    The best thing about this card is that you don't have to buy it. Not only do you save a lot by not buying the card, but you'll save quite a bit on your electricity bill. There's an extra bonus if you live in the Netherlands; this summer is going to be hot. Last thing you want is another heat source right next to you.
    Think about all that ice cream you can buy instead. And the great thing about ice cream is that you can actually buy it, and it cools you down!

    The sad thing is that the Ventus and the Suprim are nearly the same price, yet the Ventus is just made of recycled plastic, no RGB, under clocked, cheap VRM's, cheaper than FE, though FE is actually pretty nice. MSI profit margin on then Ventus is higher than the Suprim or the Trio, because they put the cheapest parts yet price it the same. MSI is hoping that buy the Ventus because its made of left over plastic, and the cheapest internals.
    That being said, it still works, people will still buy it and you're none the wiser, unless your that guy who posted a video of him taking it apart and realizing its junk inside compared to other aib partner builds.
