I never understood why people don't listen to my success advice - because i was using what and how. Now I started to use why ! And I started to use why for myself= why do I do it ? and it makes everything so easy... Thank You... You changed my life
the starting analogy of how school teachers never explain WHY one should study is extremely accurate reason of why I also never liked to study throughout of school days, but today love reading after understanding why reading is useful for developing my life and capabilities
"Thinking Fast and Slow" by Daniel Kahneman goes into some of the neuroscience of why, while it doesn't explicitly call it this it comes down telling ourselves stories that make sense to us.
Fantastic book on the foundational principles of passive vs. active thinking and the nature of reactive vs. active thought. I love that the knowledge in this book was distilled out of somewhere around two decades of studies and intellectual conversation between a couple of smart, inquisitive guys who must have challenged each other constantly. I was especially impressed with the breakdown of biases, priming and impulse. Does anyone know of any other books that handle these topics in a more conversational way?
Same thing happened to me. I just started reading like 2 years ago, I'm 20 now. I thing I found out is that when I read something that I'm interested in I really learned it and if I read something because "I have to" for school I don't really learn. Also I'm starting to do your "trick" to listen audiobooks while on the car, nevertheless I do prefer to read books. Awesome video, keep it up
I like when someone explains in such a simple way. Before, I didn't know whether to read this book. However, now, I'm sure. Thanks for doing this kind of video that inspires everyone to work on improvements.
Thank you man. Within 1 month of just knowing your channel, I have watch all of your videos. Each of your video is just as valuable as the others. My enthusiasm never cease whenever you have a new video. Fight Mediocrity! Fight for More!
Bro, if there was a stock on you.. I'd spend all my money on buying that stock. EVEN knowing if the stock fails which it wouldn't. Just as a thank you for such unrealistic deep knowledge you have instilled in me. Please keep this up. You are my mentor.
WHY is a synonym for "clarity" principle. Others would call it purpose, big goal, big dream, reason... Simon Sinek used a very intuitive model for amateur description of clarity. Please don't stop there because CLARITY = POWER.
I'm 15 and still listen to good Self help Gurus from the old days like Zig Zigler or Herman Mansbuch or Tony Robbins. Not all young people have poor taste! :)
+Alexander Dumarte Well done brother !! . Keep it up on this track and by 20 u gonna surpass all of us .. im 22 and i just started self developing when i was 20 .. and i can approve to u that there is many differences now in my life ! See you in the peak Alexander !
Love thus damn channel. Resonates so well with me and reminds me of a Ying and yang in the current world. Plus life tips to better yourself in body, mind and 'spirit'.
Seems like leadership is like salesmanship in that in order to succeed by persuasion, you must connect your goal or product to something your target cares about and show how it will benefit them by bringing them closer to their own goals for themselves.
This is such a powerful concepts and I realized I can apply it to any part of my life. Why should I study? Because I want to gain a different perspective of the world, learn something new so I can apply it to a job I like, which can also make be money, and then give me a life of financial independence.
LOL nice music at the end I would love to see this with another example like how to find your "why" in life great job thanks for making these videos everyweek 👊
After watching a few of you videos you inspired me to read. I was like you only reading for school etc. and before even watching this video you inspired me because you told me why. Just want to say thank you.
Reminds me of quote from Chanakya "Before you start some work, always ask yourself three questions - Why am I doing it, What the results might be and Will I be successful. Only when you think deeply and find satisfactory answers to these questions, go ahead. "
MP3 players talked about how many gigs it have. It wasn't till Apple used the tag line "puts 1,000 songs in your pocket" till MP3 players really caught on
Thank you I recently formulated this formula and it was so messy i couldn’t connect the dots for weeks. After watching this video it all makes sense! Thank you:) i absolutely hated doing things mindlessly in school. They dont trach you why, but the what and i always go crazy when i never understand the purpose as to what im doing.
About a week or so ago, I started reading this book. It is our business "book of the month". And I loved it. Yeah, I know we have products, but just now I realized why people are not attracted to them, they are like: "Nah, and so what?"... So I started to figure out our WHY! :D Also, I love your animations!
I literally already watched all your videos!! I am a fan bro. Can you illustrate Goals by Brian Tracy it's an awesome effective book. Thanks for all of your hard work bro. Animation takes hours. Thank you
Bro you really hit the nail on the head with this one I agree 100% especially the part about my teachers and reading . By the way, What is the name of the instrumental at the end of your video?
I'd also say one wouldn't listen to their teachers telling them the same thing cause you'd not really respect their opinion. They don't inspire you. Whereas a successful mentor who's achieving great things in life inspires, and you respect their opinion. And therefor you'd listen to what they tell you is good for you, instead of a teacher who (mostly) is only telling you cause it's their job
I am so thankful that I found your channel. Since that, I've been waiting for your new videos to be uploaded. Very insightful and inspiring. I've started to read books now and the next thing I know is I am obsessed with it. Looking forward to your next videos. ;)
Great inspiration for people of all ages. The book that started me on my journey was also How To Win Friends and Influence Others. Reading Start with Why today 😁. Keep it up!
The difference between a mentor and a teacher, the teacher starts with what and how without the why. Most organisation don't know why they do what they do. The mentors start with why then proceed to the how and why.
Another factor of what you discussed is how much you respect the person. You must have been inspired to read because you actually respected your mentors. When you look up and respect someone, you will definitely try to emulate some part of their lifestyle. When you were younger, you definitely did not respect your teachers which is why you would not listen to them. The teachers did not meet your standard as to someone who is awesome and inspirational.
hey bro i dont usually comment oN videos but i just gotta. I love your videos' they are excellent and i have learned so much from them. Thank you for taking your time to summarize and explain great self help books. It ha added value to my life (And other people). thank you very much.Great job mhan.
This is amazing. In fact all your videos are amazing. I find the way you relate different theory towards your own personal experiences so brilliant, it really creates a greater sense of understanding for me!! Thanks for being such a dope TH-camr keep it up!!!
Hey man love your videos. I would recommend reading Influence; The Psychology of Persuasion by Robert B. Cialdini. It's an absolute must for all marketers since it delves into the six key principles of what gets a person to say the word 'yes' to anything.
Mentors online? as in us for example watching you for some sort of guidance/knowledge or do you mean someone you interact with personally and have conversations where the mentor teaches you life lessons and so on ?
Even though the book is soooo repetitive, I enjoyed it a lot. Great summary by the way, you pretty much covered the whole book in it, however still worth reading:)
Can you tell us what do you think made your channel have this virality. You're one of the few dozens of channels that were able to spread rapidly while also having a good message.
Congratulations ! Great vid your my raw model! But ill like u to give some advice on how i can read faster and retain more from books. An answer will be vigurously appreciated
Carolina Gutiérrez Vargas Pick the most important thing that you learned and start doing it. That would be the best way. It's also a good measure of how useful what you read is. If there is nothing to start doing, the book wasn't very helpful. :)
Hey..I love all your videos man! Very insightful. Thanks a lot for your work. Could you please review 1) the greatest salesman in the world- og mandino 2) fountain head- ayn rand
People often don't care about what you know until they find out how much you care.
Good video, thanks!
I never understood why people don't listen to my success advice - because i was using what and how.
Now I started to use why !
And I started to use why for myself= why do I do it ? and it makes everything so easy...

allsam18 Haha, awesome! :)
Why is the foundation of reason and reason is the foundation of understanding anything in life.
You have shaped my life man. I really appreciate it. You are empowering millions of people to grab life not only with vigor but with direction.

Love thus damn channel. Resonates so well with me and reminds me of a Ying and yang in the current world. Plus life tips to better yourself in body, mind and 'spirit'.
What an amazing example! A society who is deprived of why.
Parents, teachers, elders get angry when you ask why. Cuz they don't know

Understanding your why is the key to positive actions for each of us!
Your school examples is a great interpretation of the book
This is a real life-changing-book!
Great book, appreciate the way you animate the book through applications in your real life
Yernar J Thank you! :)
Was going to say the exact same thing. I wasn't sure where you were going with this, and then you tied it in. Really great.

Bro you really hit the nail on the head with this one I agree 100% especially the part about my teachers and reading . By the way, What is the name of the instrumental at the end of your video?
Impressive. Thank so much for sharing this information.
Wow! Powerful video, well done! Thanks for the concise and powerful summary of the concept.

Very good, thank you. Would you please consider over The strategy and tactics of pricing.
Ahmed Taleb Hey Ahmed! Thank you for recommending, I have not read this book.
The difference between a mentor and a teacher, the teacher starts with what and how without the why. Most organisation don't know why they do what they do. The mentors start with why then proceed to the how and why.
very very nice video. thank you so much
Essentially, start with a problem and then give the solution.

A must READ (or listen) Book! Already went through it! I believe its great for people starting out in freelancing work too, which is what i am doing.

Hey man love your videos. I would recommend reading Influence; The Psychology of Persuasion by Robert B. Cialdini. It's an absolute must for all marketers since it delves into the six key principles of what gets a person to say the word 'yes' to anything.
Chamber108 Yeah, it's a good book. I actually used to have a video on it :)
Quality review as per usual! Would be interesting to hear your take on the secret.

This is fantastic!
Bro you are my mentor who inspired me to read.Thankyou
Great leaders inspire action
Hi! May I ask, what editor did you use to create these videos?
I love your videos! Thanks a lot.
Warbusted You're welcome :)
Mentors online? as in us for example watching you for some sort of guidance/knowledge or do you mean someone you interact with personally and have conversations where the mentor teaches you life lessons and so on ?
That was more of a book synopsis than a review. That said I got more out of it than I expected to, so thanks!
Even though the book is soooo repetitive, I enjoyed it a lot. Great summary by the way, you pretty much covered the whole book in it, however still worth reading:)
You may know all about this book, but its still amazing when you read it :D
Thank you so much your inspiring video!
Could you tell me what kind of video editor software you are using?
Can you tell us what do you think made your channel have this virality. You're one of the few dozens of channels that were able to spread rapidly while also having a good message.
Director Debut The answer to this question is quite literally in almost every video he makes
Lol at even asking this.

1) the greatest salesman in the world- og mandino
2) fountain head- ayn rand
Og Mandino is a great author!
@fightmediocrity, Are all the recommended reads written by men?
Hi! Could I use a part of this video for one of my online lectures? I would definitely give you the credits!
You are becomming a mentor to me.
People dont buy what you do. They buy why you do it 👌
Very inspiring, as always, thank you!
Had to revisit this video brilliant summary - helps to re-align
Don't revisit a video. Read the book to realign. Watch the video to gain insight, but read the book to get the full message.
Wow bro, i really appreciate it, thank you so much. i can relate to your story man too.
kingyabish Awesome! :)
Awesome Video!
I appreciate what you do man! Thank you!
Because you realize that people don't buy what you do but they buy why you do it 😉👍🇩🇿
Hey! Your videos are amazing. I have a question for you..Who are your online mentors?
What a book and what a summary!
This "why" is important
He pretty much summed up the book, seriously.
such a basic and powerful principle!
love it. thanks
The teacher can't imagine anyone reading books to better themselves. They're happily stuck in a rut.
