The fact that you can't disable auto-lockout is my biggest gripe. I totally understand that some people appreciate the feature - just allow us to switch it off, Sofirn. It's a shame because this model pretty much ticks all the boxes for me. But I've had lights with auto-lockout and I just don't like it at all. Good video brother keep it up 👍
These e switches are very sensitive. I don't think it would benefit sofirn as a company if a flashlight switched on accidentally in a rucksack and burned something to the ground. I think auto lock makes sense and I think you will see lots more flashlights with it. It makes sense really😊
You know, I got a wurkkos with auto lockout recently and I didn’t realize it was a feature when I ordered it. I thought it was absolutely stupid when I first purchased it but I’ve grown to really like that feature and I wish I could turn it ON with my other lights. This one’s gonna be a winner for me.
You can now deactivate the auto lockout by depressing the switch 4 times from off position. This was a great informative video! Thank you. I just ordered this and the SP35T. I already have the SP35 and am impressed by it. I can't believe the value and quality you get for the price of this Chinese light. I would never buy a Chinese light up until Sofirn. Prior I only buy Surefire weapon lights for my firearms and I can't believe 3 Sofirns are 1/3 the cost of a Surefire.
I saw that Barry Dong has already said there will be an updated model and change that auto lockout feature. It seems like a decent model overall though
I really hope that's the case. Same with the if23 as well. It's useless to me with that auto lock and I would definitely not buy any of their models with that feature on them.
Hello! My SC33 is on order and should arrive any day. I'm glad you posted a review on this light, it gives me a preview of what to expect. I just received a similiar light from Convoy, the M21B with a XPH70.3 HI 5K emitter on which I measured a 400 meters of throw on turbo. I'm suspecting the Convoy will out preform the SC33 and plan to compare it directly with the M21B, which so far I'd caterogize as a floody-thrower. I like the physical look of the SC33 more than the Convoy but I believe the M21B may have better heat dissapation than the SC33 on turbo, however the SC33 may last longer on lower power settings. Thanks for the nice review as always!
I have the m21f with the same led, it is basically the same as the m21b flashlight but with a charging port, and I can say that it handles heat much better than the sc33 but the sc33 feels better in the pocket
Hi Smothered Chrome, thanks for another great review! O found a little weird the 40t giving less output. I tested this flashlight with a Molicell p42a and a Vapecell of 15 amps and had higher output than the Sofirn battery that came together. Maybe the 40t heated the SC33 too fast? All the best!
I have both the SC33 and the SP33S, and I have to agree the tint is much better on the SC33 haha. SP33S was my daily walking light, not anymore :-) On low, Medium, the tint is much better on the SC33

I wish Sofirn included a regular black bezel to replace the crenulated one to give a more rounded beam. The tint is the best I've seen on a CREE XHP. No CREE rainbow and no greenish tint on any mode. The auto lockout did make me think that it was probably faulty but, I soon found out it was a feature. I wish it had a momentary feature though. It is a fantastic light for the price and will most likely carry it in my work bag. This is my first 21700 light and I love the 5 hour runtime at 700 lumens. I definitely prefer and appreciate long runtimes at the 500 - 800 lumen range.
Yes and No Auto lock can be a safety feature at shipping but disabled by the buyer .Or perhaps for legalities.. if that's why?.a delayed 1 to 12 hr selection available in Anduril 2....And shoot the illuminated tail switch from the Scuba model😂
I noticed that there is a second metal tube, internal, inside the battery tube. This tube must be a second electrical contact of the tail circuit board, where the drive and control button is located, and the circuit board of the usbc socket, the charge indicator led, and the main led, the XHP70.3, on the head of the flashlight, as it seems to be a little more prominent than the external tube of the flashlight, exactly to touch the golden rim of electrical contact at the bottom of the head plate, making a bridge with the golden rim of the tail controller board. This explains the fact that the thread on the external tube of the lantern is all silver, bare, both on the tube and on the head, as the external tube continues, electrically speaking, having the same function as the other lanterns, which is to close the electrical contact of the mass, the negative of the battery, and the inner tube, as already explained, closes the circuit contact of the controller boards, the tail and the head. Therefore, the thread of the lantern tube, which is the only one available for accessing the battery, apparently, unless I'm mistaken, so that it conducts electricity better, is devoid of protection against oxidation, that is, it is not anodized, which which is not very good. Not to mention the fact that I am also in doubt about how good the insulation is between the two metal tubes, the external and the internal, which in the assembly run side by side. What do you think of all this?
Thank you my friend I appreciate your comment 🙏 Yes I believe the inner tube is for electrical contact and helps with insulation for the battery IMHO but I'm no expert electrician.
maybe the sofirn sc33 has reached the maximum brightness even though it uses a powerful battery, but it is not able to achieve as claimed in the specification which is 5200 lumens

Hey, you better cut that auto camera settings crap out before I pay you a visit! 🤣 I was curious to see if you had given my settings a go I sent on Facebook. Turbo drops immediately, it's not a thermal limit, so no matter the ambient temperature it's always going to measure 2000 lumens at 30s.

@@smotheredchrome That's really strange. If you feel it's worth it to you, you could consider the Sony A6000 series, I have the A6500, but there's newer versions like the higher priced A6600. Myself and Flashaholic use this series and also the Sigma F1.4 16mm lens. This is a very wide angle lens, but it works well for showing the beam and the area without moving it around too much. If you get a lens with an adjustable zoom, you just need to get one that has a fixed aperture so the exposure settings stay at a set level, otherwise it'll get darker as you zoom in.

I stayed away from this light mainly because of the auto lockout but also because of so many bad reviews and complaints. I found it on Ali today for $24 so I wanted to look at how it's output does, I think it held a decent output for a good time for the size of the light. Even at $24 I think I'll still not buy it buy it now only due to the auto lock, that was such a dumb move to not allow the user to disable that, I bet they would have sold at least double the units if you could disable that. I don't see why there are so many complaints though unless the qc is really bad on this light, I've seen people complain about the button getting stuck, the output on turbo only going up to 2000 lumens, and the tint and beam pattern being really bad. Much of that seems unwarranted judging by the unit used for this review but I'm inclined to believe many had issues, it's a shame because I love mostly everything about this design except the auto lock.
