This is the first time I'm seeing all three FC13 variants compared simultaneously on TH-cam! I liked my SFT40 powered FC13 a lot that I bought the XHP50B version, in 5000k tint. 🔦☺️♥️ I guess Wurkkos isn't using the SFN43 emitter anymore, seeing that the SFT40 is the better of the two. 🤔

I have both the Convoy L21B SFT40 and the Convoy 3X21D. Both are badass. I did light up the siding of a metal building 1.2 miles away very easily last week. I would say on a good clear night 1.5 miles of throw can be had. I think I lit up a building that far, but didn't measure the distance to it. The L21B SFT40 I paid $27 and change from AliExpress with free shipping. For the money, it's the better deal.

Having to return my Q8 plus. Its only been a few days. In the little time I ran it I noticed after putting the batteries on the charger one was always a lot lower in voltage. Then a while ago I ran it on turbo for like a almost a minute and the light flickered and went out. Noticed I could hear and feel a battery was loose. Opened it and one of the battery springs collapsed. Guess that one battery was taking alot of the amp draw and the spring got so hot it lost tension. Not sure if I want another one. Looking around for 21700 flashlights now cause I had just gotten some batteries in. Has anyone heard of this happening in these or any other multiple battery soda can flashlights?

Мне не нравиться что у ето фонаря после 1800 люмен только 5200 и нету промежуточных 3000 или 4000 поскольку в 5200 он работает не долго тогда мы имеем только 1800 продолжительних тогда нет смысла покупать sc33 можно купить какой нибуть фонарь дешевле котоый имеет теже 1800 люмен в два раза дешевле)

I just got the Q8 plus. Its my first with the UI. Maybe something has changed since this video. But for thermal stepdown temp on my instructions after the second flash each click is adding 1 degree from 30c. So if I wanted to get to 70c I would have to do 40 clicks. Like I said Im new to this. Did the UI change? Or does it have to do with something else? Also what temp before stepdown would you recommend thats high but still a considered safe for the electronics?

What batteries do you recommend for these flashlights?

Where can I purchase the diffused plastic to make these lenses (or to place it over the existing lens)? I've looked everywhere trying to turn a couple flashlights into pure flood indoor lights like the Convoy T5. Thanks for your time bro!

I'm still pretty new to flashlights so forgive my ignorance but what is the difference between the SBT90.2 and SFT40 versions of this light? And which would you say performs better?

Interesting. I didn't know Osram also makes red LED thrower emitters for flashlights. It looks like a giant red laser beam! 😀 Convoy also makes monochromatic lights with the Getian LED. I have an M21H on order from China and it has a true monochromatic green LED. The LNM1.F1 green diode from Osram isn't technically pure green as it also emits other wavelengths like yellow and red but they're hardly visible to the eye. Enjoyed this demo of the LNM1.23 red LED, but personally speaking I have no use for an intense red beam! Red flood light is more useful for preserving night vision while dark green is easier on the eyes in darkness. This is why red dashboard lighting has long been a trademark for BMW cars while Volvo cars used frontal green lighting for its instrument clusters, until backlit white LEDs replaced the traditional green in the early 2000s. 🙂

I still have an early 80s 2D fat boy barrel type, and I prefer these as the batteries can breathe and they are much less prone to getting stuck? Still works great and I keep it incandescent for nostalgia.

Molicell p45b: SPOT: 736m. SPOT/FLOOD: 680m 32650: (whatever this thing takes): SPOT: 711m. SPOT/FLOOD: 623m. Testers have noted that the light is damaging the stock batt overtime due to pulling too many amps on it and overloading it. 21700 fits easily, but needs a spacer to keep from wobbling about. Someone recommended a 3/4” rubber grommet.

Your video has been a great help..it took me a long time to figure it out how to set the thermal..7H wait for 1 blink then let go..my ts21 turbo step down about 15 sec, now it can go up to 1 min..super hot but i like it, it sustains quite good before step down especially in hi mode..it works on all sofirn and wurkkos anduril2..i only did the thermal..thanks!

I received this flashlight a few days ago (06/21/2024). Purchased on Aliexpres in silver color for €21.5 (USD$23) with battery and shipping included. A bargain price. From what I have been able to test it, I am almost more surprised by its performance in the low, medium and high modes than in Turbo (very powerful, reaching 600 meters effectively, as I have been able to verify in distances to buildings measured in Google Earth, but that also increases the temperature dramatically, leaving the Turbo for something very specific and for a very short time). In high mode it also gets hot, but the Turbo thing is another level... On the low 30 lumens mode, it can reach 70-90 meters, which I find surprising for this size. Of course, at the cost of not having flooding in open spaces. Those 30 lumens are enough inside the home or not very large closed spaces (even long hallways). The 300 lumens mode would almost be enough for the vast majority of situations and adds a little more flooding with an effective and visible range of 300 meters. The 1,000 lumens mode, I think, is the reasonable limit without having a barbecue in hand...about 400 real meters. Moon mode is enough to move around the house in the dark and go to the toilet without tripping along the way. As you have already seen, the linetrna has 5 stepped power levels. I would have preferred 8, like on the Wurkkos TS11, but it is what it is... Ramp mode doesn't always work well. Sometimes it gets stuck and doesn't respond. Turbo with two clicks from off and Strobo with 3 clicks from off, are a Must In short, I think it is a good flashlight with good things and things I would add or improve. Complement it with another EDC that is economical and more powerful (an SC18, for example) and you have the perfect all-terrain pair. Greetings and thanks if you read my comment.

Maglite absolutely does deserve the hate you all give them. You all keep comparing them to enthusiasts lights and they don’t compete with enthusiasts lights. They compete with Streamlight, Surefire, and Coast. Classic brands. And the value is always misrepresented You’re getting a lot for that 25 to 65 dollars , including warranty service and proprietary research BENT ON reliability

Not sure if you still read the comments on these older vids but I just got an L21A with the XHP50.3 HI. Its a really good combo since it has the large reflector allowing it to throw a bunch for an XHP while still being quite bright. I think you'd like it a lot. Id be interested in seeing a comparison against your SFT40 verson of the L21A and XHP70 version of the M21G.

Nice video, a question maybe a little strange, i wanted to ask if you know if there is a type of 18650 battery that can mantain more power output when are not very charged ( like 3.5, 3.6 volts) because i see from fully charged at 4.2 volts and around 3.6 volts on turbo mode they are only half of the brightness, this using the stock sofirn battery. So basically if there is a type, even whit the same output when fully charged as the stock battery but at lower voltage they can make the flashing more powerful. Tanks for any kind of help

hell yeah! I have the l21A. it rips. id love to pick up the x turbo, I think the modes suit it better for putting it on a rifle. convoy kills it with their prices. am I the only one who notices convoys chew through battery compared to olight?
