  • The B1/B2 visa is one of the most popular visas for foreigners visiting the U.S. for tourism or business reasons such as incorporating a company, buying real estate, or to attend a seminar. But what happens if you need to extend your stay without leaving the country? In this video, Joseph explains the process for extending your B1/B2 visitor visa in the U.S. and valid reasons for the extensions. He also reviews common pitfalls to avoid so that you don’t accidentally violate or overstay your B1/B2 visa. Let’s get to it!
This video is brought to you by Tsang and Associates, a boutique international law firm that solves legal problems with creative solutions.
About our series, "How to Expedite Reentry Permit/Advance Parole":
Many people have urgent reasons to travel, whether it is to visit a family member facing a medical emergency or to attend to an urgent business matter. But for those who have pending green card applications, or green card holders who need to be outside of the U.S. for more than 1 year, they must first apply for the I-131 travel document in order to safely leave the country without jeopardizing their legal status. The COVID-19 pandemic has further complicated the situation by causing long processing delays or canceling biometrics appointments.
In this series, Joseph will outline the in's and out's of expediting the I-131 reentry permit or advance parole travel document, including expediting and rescheduling the biometrics appointment, and much more. Please see below for links to the entire video series on this important topic

Should I call USCIS and tell them I need to leave earlier than set date on application?

Each time I apply for B1/B2 now for second time they give me 3 months visa while others are getting 10 years is there any reason I don't get 10 years like others ?

B1/B2 Visa for ten years? Are you sure of that umm???

This might depends on where are you from. I know they gave ten-year B1/B2 to Chinese citizens but one admission only lasts 90 days as usual.

Hello, my situation is quite different and I am wondering if you could give me advice as to what to do. I have B1/B2 visa valid from May 2023 to Aug 2023 due to a sports event to be held in Guam. I have an annotation that my visa is only valid for Guam for the event. The event was originally on June 19-28, 2023. But because of the super typhoon that hit Guam the event was postponed. Now, the new date is on November 2023. But my visa will expire in August. The organizer in Guam informed me to extend my visa thru 539 form. There are 4 of us in the group with the same situation. My question is: Can we extend our visa using this form? Or do we have to reapply? We have not been to the US.
