Proof should be measured on average difference (absolute value) not total over/under. Dan clearly was closer on proof guessing. Fix that, less cards, great series.

I’ve been saying this since last year. Not only is it points for luck, if you look at your total proof after day 23, you can guess a nonsense proof on day 24 to game the four points instead of going for one point on proof for day 24. If you nailed 23 out of 24 days and got one wrong, you can lose to a guy who was somehow lucky and averaged out.

This whole proof issue makes me worried about their virtue bottle proofs. Are they going to make a 110 rye and a 90 wheater and just put 100 proof on both bc that is how Sean tracks proof accuracy?
Gonna pitch this idea to change the cards for next year; Add two more cards, no resets. Six cards each for all 24 days.

The cards were annoying this year. It shouldn’t be that hard to keep track of. Proof already gives points so I don’t understand why there are bonus points. I also don’t understand why there’s a time cap and a time bonus.

Definitely didn’t feel the proof part as it can. E gamed easily. I can see the time points added at the end but that should be it and the bottle guesses, no other weird calculations. Also you should add more cards you can use only once.

Instead of total proof, you should take the sum of the absolute value of proof differences and award 4 points to the lesser.

No cards next year. Whoever loses Badvent either shaves beard and/or head OR... you get a Badvent Loser tattoo with the year you lost... nothing HUGE, just a running tally of Badvent losses. We used to do that with the lowest score in Fantasy Football. Must agree upon location (shoulder) and size/content ahead of time.

Get rid of the cards, there’s never a day y’all just taste the samples and guess without the cards. I believe the total points at the end should determine the winner. Love Sean but he was no where near dans level in guessing whiskey and some how in the end he mysteriously wins. I agree with dans frustration in getting screwed in the end.
