One thing that makes me laugh is that in the original game you learn that Ada was the one that rung the bell. So Leon shooting it makes me laugh thinking about how Ada is on her way to ring it and it just starts without her

I actually died in the dynamite part during the first playthrough because I took a step back instead of to side so the falling boulder kill me.

This game's awesome, but imo it ain't a perfect remake unless it completely replaces the og as the new definitive version like RE1R did, and there are some things that me and some others still prefer in the og. Imo i'd say it's a 10/10 game on it's own but a 9/10 remake.
This remake is definition of pure trash.
Only thing I don't like is the knife durability in this one. Makes a bit less sense than it did in the re2 and 3 remake
What a time to be alive. I've now seen the release of Re4 AND RE4! THIS IS NUTTY
And also the influence the game had over the next generations of games as well.

And yet the idiots at Capcom still don't know that the RPG is a recoiless weapon. It has a knockback for some reason in the remake too and travels waaaaay too slow.

@@mohammadtausifrafi8277 Because the dog is an ally that helps you with the giant. Besides, you kill plenty of dogs in the game.
If that doesn't satisfy your question, you can always take your superficially "deep" moral dilemmas to other places that care.
Unfortunate side note about armored Ashley is if you leave her behind and go far enough away (like a few doors) she CAN be carried off. I ran from the church to the village while they just kept picking her up over and over by the church and got a game over showing them carrying her.
It's about when her model unloads. If she's a certain distance away, it counts.
It would be a nice touch if Armored Ashley got carried away by 4 Las Plaga monks in a special game over cutscene
That happened to me in the og game weirdly enough
@@majorpeepo it happened either because you were too far away and model unloaded or they kind of drag-dropped her to extraction zone since even if they are dropping her when she is armored they are still taking step forward. at least from what I have seen

Actually I can confirm Ashley can in fact die from fire. Happened to me earlier in the same exact location. She didn't even go down, just immediately cut to her dropping to the floor screaming and dying.
If I remember correctly, that fishblasting was also in RE4 Original. You get an instant game over by provoking the large salamander boss inland with the same reaction of it popping out of the water.
It was.
It was scarier in the original though. Much faster.

1:35 To give you a bit of correction about Ashley dying from fire, yes, she most definitely can. It happened to me once during that exact segment you were at and at the fireball catapult segment at the castle.
4:38 Most players that realized this, including myself, found out the hard way for the first time.
4:38 dang, it's hard to imagine players not reading the warning sign right next to the tunnel, or even think to take cover in the non-looney-toons way. Going sideways lol.
To be fair, I didn't think the cave in would happen the way it happens in the game, I do remember thinking I should get cover in the adjacent tunnel instead of just going back in its path, and then almost getting squished with the rocks when I prematurely started walking out.
@@TheDrsalvation The warning sign only says to make sure there's distance between you and the blast. many players would assume taking some steps back would be enough like it would be for pretty much any other game in a similar scenario.
@@pepegreene7525 it specifically warns against cave-ins, not explosions. I admit it's not entirely clear, but if it's warning against cave ins, my first thought was to not be in the main path of the blast.
It's the looney-toons scenario, where the coyote can either run to the side, or keep running in the direction of the falling tree lol.
I found a beetle in a fountain with fish next to el buhonero in the Salazar casttle, any idea of where there is more? that when I consumed it increased the limit of the health bar.

What beetles? The only one I found was the treasure beetle.
@@northernnightmare7986 actualy; maybe, exist 3: 1.- in the zone when you found luis serra, 2.- the scarab that i found in the fountain after ashley try to stab leon, and 3.- strating the fight vs krauser, back on the rocks when you come.

I actually did the second one with the bridge lowering skip in my first playthrough completely by accident. That solidified this game as a masterpiece for me.

I really wonder how many years this remake took? Probably right after RE 3 remake while finishing RE8. Because the detail is almost perfection!
it was after re 2 remake, re3 remake was done by a different team and it really shows
When RE2 remake's was released, there were already rumors about RE4 remake in the works, along with RE3, and RE8 (which was supposedly going to be revelations 3). So RE4's remake had been at least 4 years in the making.

the dynamite rubbles got me in my first playthrough
I wasn't gonna buy this game after playing the demo and not being able to complete it after dozens of hours trying. Was just too damn hard. But after hearing it has an assisted skill setting, I bought it. I don't play games to be challenged, I play to have fun. If a game is too hard, it's out!
This is how I feel, and why I didn’t love the OG when I first played it. I thought it was more frustrating than fun but I am somehow enjoying the little bit of challenge I get from standard mode on this game lol
That's the great thing about this remake; the modernized controls make it immediately much more accessible, and with the various difficulty settings there's something for everyone. Also - just search for videos about how to "skip" sections of the game; it's surprising how many difficult moments can be skipped entirely just by knowing what to do.
Their is an cheat engine called wemod I use it all the time because I don't have much time to play games it really easy to use you should try it
Ashley and fire are the main two reasons I had to rest so many encounters.
I notice that Ashley's medieval armor doesn't make those annoying loud clanking noises anymore, like in the original... that is a GREAT improvement. That "clank clank clank" really got on my nerves back then.

Ashley can totally die if molotovd, that happened to me right after you get her from the village church my first playthrough. She does need to be right in the center of the burning zone tho, cause another time she got hit in the castle only her legs were in the fire, and she didn't die
That was the point. The hit is what kills her not the fire.
@John J let me specify. For my first example, she got hit by the molotov which knocked her down, then the fire started and she died. Second time she got hit, fell further over and due to not being in the sweet spot, didn't die

Had her step on a bear trap right before some stupid ganado threw a Molotov at her, couldn't help her because of the fire so I had to watch her burn until the mission failed screen
You can also rpg skip instead of using the dynamite.
the goat head skip was probably the coolest skip ive seen. you can also use a flashbang to disrupt them instead of a frag.

In the original once you got to the church you could shoot the bell and summon enemies to fight. But you can't do that in the remake 😭

Great video! Although the Resident Evil 4 remake is out, I'm still playing a lot of the original on mobile. In fact, on my latest episode of my RE4 series, I just passed through the cabin with Louis and both paths. It was intense! Keep up the great work!

I think an important one is missing : you can instakill Ramon with 2 golden eggs. One egg will stun him and second egg will kill him. I think regular eggs also deal damage to him, but golden egg is like 70% of his HP
