- Let's start reassembling our Ciao starting from the rear
In this third part we will dedicate ourselves to the replacement of the rubber, the restoration of the rim and the overhaul of the Moped hub.
As always we will do all the work inside my garage, always being careful to keep expenses low, using simple and cheap equipment.
The video shows the phases of the work one step at a time, so you can clearly see the progress achieved, but if you have any questions or concerns do not hesitate to write it in the comments it will be my privilege to answer. Good vision✌️

HI, what are the torque settings for the 4 hub bolts at 8:36? Thanks BTW excellent video, helped me a lot when doing the overhaul. I ended up tightening the bolts tight +1/4 turn similar t o what you did in video. Thanks very much and keep up the good work!

There is no specific torque provided by Piaggio for these bolts, therefore the generic torque based on the size of the bolt applies, which is 7Nm (0.71kgm)

I used Motul 300 SAE 75/90 hub oil but you can use any gear or transmission oil.
I get the spare parts from a local supplier but you can also easily find them on the web. A serious and reliable supplier is GHEZZI MOTORS

Vorrei chiederti una cosa: innanzitutto tu come hai imparato a fare tutte queste cose? Poi, come fai a trovare tutti questi motori? Li compri, li restauri per rivenderli? Quest’ultima cosa mi piacerebbe farlo anche a me ma vedo spesso che per quanto costa comprarli, metterci le spese anche di restauro e rivenderli ai soliti affaristi non conviene.

La passione e la manualità mi sono state trasferite da mio Padre e prima di lui, da mio Nonno che negli anni 40 aveva un concessionario Guzzi a Firenze.
Alcuni mezzi sono miei altri di amici o conoscenti per i quali faccio il lavoro gratuitamente (escluso pezzi di ricambio e materiali) solo per il gusto di rendere a questi pezzi di storia la dignità che meritano.
Comprare restaurare e rivendere a volte non è conveniente...la differenza la fa quasi sempre il prezzo di acquisto...quindi se compri bene allora ok diversamente se fai pari è già un risultato.
Tutto cambia per mezzi di grande valore, tipo dai € 20.000 in su dove il margine è decidente a favore.

Ciao Mario se non ricordo male sono 0,75 ml...ma ad ogni modo tu devi mettere olio fino a che mettendolo nella sua posizione verticale non esce dalla asolina di sfiato

Il modello specifico del Piaggio Ciao SC 1976 può montare pneumatici di diverse dimensioni a seconda della versione e delle personalizzazioni apportate. Tuttavia, una dimensione comune dei pneumatici per il Piaggio Ciao SC è:
- Ruota anteriore e posteriore: 17 pollici di diametro con una larghezza del pneumatico di solito compresa tra 2,00 e 2,25 pollici
