The terminus arc is my favorite. I personally loved the fact that everyone was separated, it was so interesting to me. I loved everything they did with all the characters, Daryl, Beth, Tyrese, Carol, Carl, Rick, Michonne, Bob, Sasha, Maggie, and Glenn. Adding Eugene, Abraham, and Rosita to the fold. Perfection, then everyone slowly finding each other again, then the incredible season 5 opener, where Tyrese and Carol save everyone. I love it

This arc is one of the few times where the show is way better then the comics. The build up to the hunters in the show is amazing we get so many cool moments in the arc.

I think he is a way better hero then villain and when he was a villain Simon was better in my opinion.
It really did not help that they made Simon for the show just to take all the things negan does in the comics away from negan to make him look less evil.

The comic storyline has the woodburry storyline split in to two parts too. It’s supposed to be long, honestly. I think the show played it out perfectly. Having the governor gone for the first 5 episodes of season 4 and distracting us with the flu arc was genius. We let our guards down by being worried about the flu and then got our hopes up when the flu was dying down. Then the governor shows up for one last strike. It was perfect. The only thing I would criticize about the arc is I always wish we had a bit more time with the group just living at the prison and dealing with the prisoners BEFORE the governor was introduced.

    • @HoboDucks
      @HoboDucks  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Yeah he was introduced very early and the prisoners got dealt with within the first 4 episodes really. Season 3 would of been better without the duel story with Rick group and Andrea.

    • @dravenlee5524
      @dravenlee5524 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

@@HoboDucks agreed. I think having Andrea separated from the group meant they had to rush the Woodburry storyline in right at the start. Personally I think the first 8 episodes should have been about the group just dealing with the prison and prisoners and Andrea’s storyline could have been her and Michonne finding a camp city, like Lilly did in the novels, where Tyreese and Sasha could be living at. Then by episode 5 or so, they’re forced to leave the tent city, they then live on the road for an episode before finally coming across Woodburry in episode 8.

    14. Hospital arc
The worst arc by a landslide. Beth can't carry an episode by her self. Nothing against the acor it's just to be able to carry an episode you have to be able to entertain the audience and Beth is a quiet character. It is one of the most low stakes arcs in the show. Beth died for literally nothing and you could skip a decent amount of the episodes.
    13. Common Wealth
. CM is one of the most over stuffed arcs I have ever seen. They tried to sneak in Pamela as an antag but it didn't work. Lance's death was extremely out of left field and was a waste. Sebastian should've died earlier so we could have had more Pamela vs Lance.
    12:
    Road to Alexandria
. Tyrese's death was dumb and Noah died shortly after it. The Arc focused a decent amount on Noah who died a few episodes after it.
    11: All out war
One of the worst written arcs ever. Started off great but the rest sucked. It had so many dumb deaths like Carl,The Tiger, and Sasha and Glenn. It was action packed but it was way too long and had bad writing.
10: Prisoner arc (From S3 Episode 1 to the moment Axel got quick scoped)
This arc wasn't the best but it wasn't the worst. I was starting to like Axel but he died. A waste of a character who could've been decent.
    9:Atlanta arc
It was only 6 episodes. Most of the characters who survived ended up being completely wasted. (Dale,Andrea,T-Dog,Morales and his family,Vatos)
It had a good ending but it was mid overall
8: Governor arc (From the moment Axel got sniped to the moment the governor died)
I wanted to put it higher but it should've been mostly exclusive to season 4. It had one of the worst deaths in the show (guess who) and it had some of the most boring episodes to stretch it out even longer then necessary.
7:Sickness arc: It was short but pretty good. We didn't have any major deaths tho. It would've been a good time to have killed Lori but for some reason they didn't and made it happen in the third episode. You could argue it's one of the most high stakes arc even though nobody died except a bunch of randoms
    Number 6: Farm Arc
Is was slow but not half bad. We got to see Shane's descent into being an irredeemable villain. The finale was great and so was Shane's demise. I also liked Dales death.
    Number 5: Reaper arc
I really wanted to put it higher. The reapers had cool masks and designs and Brandon is probably the strongest and coolest character in the show but the writing was pretty bad. A bunch of jobbers get dropped in the second-third episode but they were both great episodes. It was also pretty low stakes because only a handful of characters were even involved. I would've liked to see Lydia in the arc so Gage would beg to her to let him in.
    Number 4: Bridge Arc
I enjoyed all the episodes. It's a shame it was only 5 episodes but it was still great. Seeing Rick hang out with the others was amazing and his death was well written.
    Number 3:
Whisperer arc: It was amazing at the beginning and middle but the end was garbage. That one episode where you could barely see anything and when you could it was Negan and Alpha sucked. The death of Jesus was bad but It had THE best finale. I got chills from that whole scene.
Number 2: No way out Arc
The wolves dragged this one down alot. Owen was BOARING and so was Denise. The finale was amazing and it was consistent. Ron's descent into madness was good and not written badly.
    Number 1:
Terminus: Short and simple. Had one of the best villains and all the episodes were awesome.

Axel was intended to be a serial killer originally. He was going to kill Beth. lol They still went with the serial killer storyline later in that season with Carol and the sickness storyline. While we know her reasons for doing it, all the evidence was pointing towards a serial killer around that time. lol They claim they scrapped the Axel storyline because they already had too many villain's but honestly, I think they just ran out of people they were willing to kill in Rick's group. They needed someone to die for the Governor to start his assault. Axel happened to check off all the boxes on being "safe to kill" and so they killed him and sort of shifted his original storyline onto Carol.
It's probably for the best as well. It gave Carol a ton of new character development and her exile set things up for her to save Ricks group at Terminus.
Also, Rick didn't die during the bridge storyline. lol He has his own spin-off show coming out.

Recently rewatching TWD, but I can definitely say from what I remember, this being my ranking:
    *13. Reapers arc(S10E17-S11E8)*
    Forgettable.
    *12. The Sickness arc(S4E1-5)*
Not as interesting as I remember, and I like Hershel, but it felt like filler butting heads with The Governor arc, and then we get 2 episodes of him disappearing. Not very good.
    *11. G.M. Hospital arc(S5E4-8)*
I like this arc, but Beth's death isn't one I wouldn't have created this one for. Too much reliance on shock value at the time, and self-awareness of the show. Follow that with Tyreese's death b2b and it's one of the worst arcs and transitions.
    *10. The Commonwealth arc(S9E16-S11E24)*
Lance carries this arc. But it could have been so much better and faster. Eugene's character arc coming full circle was nice to see.
    *9. Atlanta Camp arc(S1E1-6)*
Great intro to TWD universe. Lacks great character drama.
    *8. Bridge/Rick's Ending arc(S9E1-5)*
    Great sendoff to Rick.
    *7. Governor arc(S3E1-S4E8)*
This arc was perfectly paced outside of the "debate" and Morgan returns episode. People talk about their reunion later in season 5, but it happened here, and it wasn't as great then. Still one of the most iconic arcs upon re-watch.
    *6. The Farm arc(S2E1-13)*
Way better than you remember and I haven't felt that "desire to binge" since this arc. It's perfectly encapsulated for what it's going for, and Shane is a great written character for the stepping stone of what Rick would become.
    *5. The Saviors arc(S6E9-S8E16)*
Negan carries. The intro and some of the fights are great. But throughout these weirdly paced and thoughtless episodes in season 7, it suffers greatly. Season 8 is very underrated in bringing out this arc for what it's worth.
    *4. The Whisperers arc(S9E6-S10E16)*
Alpha and Beta are the most menacing and craziest villains on TWD. Seeing the Governor mow down like 20-30 people might be more psychotic, but these "people in the woods" lived for 10 years of the apocalypse with the dead. Crazy to think about.
    *3. Terminus/Hunters arc(S4E9-S5E3)*
This was the icon of TWD's time. Everything about the travel to Terminus, the dealing with Gareth and the other Termites, The Claimers, the core bonds characters would form when traveling together, all of that is represented in this arc, and does it well with an explosive finish.
    *2. Road To Alexandria arc(S5E9-16)*
Need I say another more iconic arc than this one? Season 5 finale "Conquer" is the most underrated finale to a season and one of the best arcs to close out on. It's this arc that transitions from the story being about survival and going to being about community and a normal life again. This arc hits all the right stops and delivers on what we expect of Rick, and his full transformation complete into Shane(and him trying to grapple with what he once was before). Officer Friendly is a mask, Carol as the innocent housewife is a mask, and it goes on from there. Tyreese's death and somewhat Noah's holds this back from being the top.
    *1. No Way Out arc(S6E1-9)*
This is the arc that peaks TWD to what it once was: a giant juggernaut where the dead are a threat once again(this time too many). But it does its job well and performs the most emotional moments in the series and one heck of a gut punch when the walls all come crashing down. The best finale to an arc upon rewatch/binge, minus the noticeable half-season split you noted(6's finale often gets looked at instead with who gets Lucilled). But there's nothing that beats the walkers themselves as the titular villains.
Those are my thoughts. Nice vid and great work!

2 s5/s4 ep 16- ep 3 Terminus Short sweet and great
