    Come on, Brad, ANZAC day isn't just Australia, mate!
    Australia New Zealand Army Core.
    When we fought together for the peace of both of our countries' freedoms.
    Moisture is looking really good to get the seeds germinating.

    Glad to see wheat going in the ground. You seem to have plenty of good moisture to get it started. Great job! I’m excited to see your cotton being harvested. My great uncle used to be a partner in the largest cotton gin in Texas back in the 1940s through the 1960s. But I personally never been around it. I farmed soybeans,wheat, hay grazer and prairie hay in Oklahoma. Your operation is pretty similar to how we farm in the United States.

    Hi Jackson family, good to see progress happening. Those rocks play havoc to machinery and a never ending battle to overcome. In the late 70's early 80's I was involved in sugar cane farming in Cairns working for a company that built stone pickers. It was a cylindrical auger that delivered rock from the tumbler to a bin or conveyer with zero soil loss. with a 1 metre cutting blade connected to the 3 point linkage allowed varying depth. A hydraulic pump mounted to the PTO powered the picker operation. It was a very robust and efficient unit and sold like hotcakes through FNQ from Mossman to Bundaberg. I left the company in 82 and often wondered what happened to the machine. Over the years I have looked at what is available in that industry and see many different types on the market with some that are overly complicated. I would be interested to see how you address the problem.

    Is the fertilizer and seeding rate the same for the whole paddock. Was told the headers create a map of high yielding areas in the paddock when harvesting. So I'm assuming that data can be fed into the seeder to reduce fertilizer load in the areas of high yield or isn't it worth it.

    • @thejacksonbrothers
      @thejacksonbrothers  24 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      Yes it takes a bit of setup but that is a common thing to do, we aren’t there just yet 👍

    • @brycepalombo3543
      @brycepalombo3543 24 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      There are alot more variables to take into consideration with variable rate but yes that is normally a good starting point to build from, the main goal with doing that is to save on input costs and getting the same yield
